Tonight my wife and I went to Copper Canyon for a nice dinner. We were greeted at the bar with our favorite bartender and server-Sarah. We've been coming to Copper Canyon almost every week for 6 years. Tonight we had the crab cake, sautéed spinach and their wonderful crispy fried. Believe me when I say you don't need to go to Maryland. Everything on the menu is delicious. We especially like the NY Sirloin steak. You will never have a better steak at this price point. Anyway, we sometimes see bad reviews and while I respect everyone's experience (even first timers) I can honestly say we've never received bad service, unprofessional behavior or anything close. It's a great team with some of the best food at the jersey Shore. And, it's one of the few remaining delicious restaurants in the area where you don't have to wait weeks to get in, sit in a ally in February or break your bank account for good food. read more

This spot was packed on a Friday night, but luckily managed to snag a table! Friendly and attentive staff and amazing margaritas. I recommend the "Smokin" if you like a spicy marg. Started off with the brie cheese (delicious and a great twist with the salsa and fresh tortilla) and is an absolute must in my opinion. I also got the spinach and cheese quesadilla. It was listed under the "Small plates" but the portion was large and very shareable. My husband got the steak and he said it was delicious, and it was a very large and generous portion! This place was pretty good for the most part with solid food. We came in for an 8pm reservation that we made last minute after a day of shopping. We arrived a few minutes late as it was a little difficult to find and we had to look for parking. Our tardiness really shouldn't have been an issue since the place was 3/4 empty, but upon our arrival we were met with a young blonde hostess who was polite. There was another brunette standing there who was clearly agitated that we were late and made it absolutely clear that she was not pleased. She rolled her eyes and took the menus and said something along the lines of "I guess I'll give them table (whatever number it was)" and rolled her eyes. She seats us still looking annoyed which honestly was comical considering the place was nearly empty. I told my husband if she was our waitress we would walk out. Instead we were helped by a wonderful guy who was so nice and polite. He was excellent and attentive and was the saving grace of the evening. The food was solid and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Small plates were excellent and the fajitas we ordered were just ok. The entire time we were sitting there the brunette was loudly talking about herself with the staff. We heard it all, which was of course unprofessional and very annoying. We were right by the kitchen so we heard everything. We also heard her telling the kitchen staff something like we're done "no mas" making it more than clear to us that she was just waiting for us to leave. You could see in her mannerisms that she was annoyed that we were the last ones in there, yet we spent over $250 in less than an hour. If it wasn't for her, we would return when we come back to the area, but after that attitude, no chance. It's a shame because the place has potential, but if management is ok with a member of their staff acting like that to paying customers, I'll definitely pass. read more

We ate here over 5 years ago and we forgot how good it was. We almost missed it as we were walking by but it is still here. I wish that that the owners would make the restaurant more visible from the street We began with the southwestern spring rolls which were delicious. My wife had the fish tacos which she loved and I had the shrimp and chorizo risotto which was superb. We decided to have dessert and tres leches was great and my wife loved her coconut flan. Pretty good. My friends live across the street and come here a lot. The food and drinks will satisfy. It's a bit pricey. It's tapas style, wish that they adjusted portions based on party size. The spring rolls have 4 but there where 5 of us. The bigger priced salad is pretty big and was a good size for the 5 of us though along with the other things we ordered. The Brie cheese was very unique, I never had Brie cheese cooked in sauce like that. The steak was the best thing, kind of chewy but had a really great flavor. Also the fries were hot and cooked perfectly, the margaritas were very good and very strong. My favorite was the regular canyon one. I had the Grand Canyon too but felt the flavor was a little off. The bathroom is just a one person bathroom. Service was pretty nice and attentive. Hostess wants you to have a reservation, even at 4 when they open which is a little odd. Haven't been here in over a decade. Someone gave wife a gift certificate as a gift so figured we'd use it. CC has always been known for their steaks. I eat beef but don't appreciate steaks as most people but wife does so figured we'd have to get it since e we're here. It was unbelievable and the portion was huge. Luckily we shared it along with another entree (shrimp tostada also great) - even sharing it still took some home. But I would absolutely go back. We got a chicken tortilla soup for app and other stuff and all was outstanding. Couple things to be aware of: they have a bar, but strangely limit the # of people in the bar room so if you get there early, you might have to just stand there. We're familiar with the area and went to a bar down the street until they called us. Worked fine but ideally would've been nice to sit at their bar while waiting. Also, they gave us a table on the bar side - afterward we realized this was a good thing even though it was a bit loud - because when we exited through the dining room it was so dead and quiet and that was at like 9:30pm on a Saturday. So if you want a quiet dinner I'm sure that works fine. read more

Honestly , I don't know why there isn't a line out the front door for this place. We have been going for years . Although we don't get there that often now , because we live a little further away it never disappoints!! The food is always consistent , and there are the must have popular staples on the menu. To start , chips, guacamole and salsa , crab cakes, fish tacos and the steak . Many choices for drinks but we have always been huge fans of the margarita's called ( Across the Street ). Why are they called that ? Guess you have to go to find out . All I can say is quality , quality and yum . The hours are a little selective , but trust me it will be worth your while to go . The only thing I can say is average. The appetizers, entrees and even dessert were all average. The only thing not average is the price. That is well above average. My chicken quesadilla was $24 and the crab cake was $20. Our waiter was great so I can't complain about service but I feel it was overpriced for average food. Our guacamole and cheesecake didn't taste like it was made on the premises. I'm guessing premade. Parking is difficult because they don't have their own lot and it's quite difficult to find street parking. If you're curious give it a try but go in with low expectations. read more

Came to Copper Canyon last Saturday for their infamous Margaritas and Tex mex menu. We were pleasantly surprised! I had called ahead to reserve a table and asked if they did the typical embarrassing birthday song for my friend. They said they don't do that but they can print happy birthday and the persons name on the menu. When we got there, there was a sign at the table with happy birthday, not a printed menu. It was great. The waitress was great and the food was tasty. We had the Chile Releno and Fish Tacos. Fish tacos were ok but the Chile Releno was great. As for margaritas I forget which one we ordered but it was the spicy one and loved the kick. I definitely recommend this place. read more
