This place looks really cool but service needs to step it up. We were told when seated that our server would be right with us. Twenty minutes later we still hadn't been seen. If they were busy I'd understand the wait to be asked if we wanted anything to drink but nobody came over after we were seated. We finally gave up and left. Randomly stopped in for dinner on a Friday night since other plans fell through. There was 5 of us and they were still able to seat us right away, gotta love that! Our server was prompt and ever though we weren't the most attentive customers, she was very good. I ordered the Grilled Cheesehead and my boyfriend ordered the Tedesco (a mac and cheese pizza). My sandwich was exactly what I wanted. Perfectly melted cheese, bacon, ripe avocado, and the spice from the arugula all worked wonderfully together. The mac and cheese pizza looked phenomenal, though I can only say that it tasted as great from the raving reviews I was hearing. The beer was really good too. I had their double IPA, smooth and refreshing and not a super bitter IPA. Will definitely be back to try some other things! read more

We read the reviews that said the staff ignores you and the food takes forever. Why oh why did we ignore those reviews ? We walked into a quiet and nearly empty restaurant. Almost as many staff as customers. Stood at the sign that said "Please wait to be seated". No hostess. Staff ignored us. A young girl approaches the hostess desk and said not one word to us before walking away. She came back and said "I guess "I" can seat you". Our table had a "Reserved" sign and she said to ignore it...it was to keep bar patrons from sitting there. Waitress come and took our food and drink order. Drinks came right away. Burgers, however, in this almost empty place ? 45 minutes...And the fries were ice cold. Flagged the waitress down. She left, came back with a plate and...USING HER BARE HANDS...scooped the fries off both plates and left. Those exact same fries came back in a basket...crunchy and over cooked. The burgers were meh and we won't be back. Don't ignore the bad reviews, folks. Clearly the owners don't care if you go there or not, or they'd up their staff game. Liked the link to the coffee house with the coffee inspired beers Appetizer- meat and cheese plate- awesome presentation and was a great pairing with the beer soup of the day-I didn't try because my mom downed it so fast as she loved it Beat salad- Small plates: Scallops, Shrimp and Grits, and Carnitas tacos - all were really good sized portions and excellent flavors Large plate: tenderloin medallions- best dish, yummy Sandwich: Rugged North Burger- huge, juice, and great flavor what's not to love Atmosphere: was excited to see the old Hinterland site getting reopened as a new restaurant/brewery/coffee house. The building has so much character and the new ownership has done a great job updating the space. 4.5 stars with the only negative being that it was a little loud. Food was VERY disappointing. Crispy Brussel sprouts are actually burned to a crisp Brussel sprouts. We waited 45 min for this??? Tasted awful, waitress took them back and took it off our bill. I had Mac and cheese as a side. DON'T do it! It was so dry and bland. It tasted just awful. The waitress said most people like it. I had a wrap with a tasty aioli, but the chicken was dry. We had been looking forward to stopping in and trying the beer, and food, since they opened and we finally had a chance. We were not disappointed. The beer was good, a bit on the lighter side throughout the beer menu, but very good and typically refreshing. The food was good, not great, but solid and a good value. The menu is varied, well thought out, and what we had, was done very well. Between us we had the burger (Huge! And tasty) and the shrimp and grits. Both were high quality, but the shrimp was under seasoned and tasted like it was just boiled without any seasoning added, but the grits really made the dish. We had many, many of the choices off the beer menu, and each one we tried was well worth getting. I would prefer a few more "bold" choices, but that is just my preference. The only real downside was the service. It was friendly and courteous, but terribly slow and a few of our orders were forgotten. One of my other pet peeves, is not having a member of the staff check up in table during the meal and, unfortunately, that happened, which is how our forgotten dishes were never delivered. On a crowded Friday night my party of 7 arrived hoping to be seated shortly after arrival as had been promised when I called ahead only to find we would have a long wait. After explaining we were hosting extended family from Colombia on their first visit to the U.S., Tad made incredible efforts to find a seat at the table for us and our server, Mackenzie was unbelievably welcoming and accommodating. After going to main st Bourbon and Titletown brewery i have to say this is the best of the 3. Now we only had sandwiches vs Apps at the others but the service, vibe and beer were better. It's a half hour from my house, but I will make the drive just for this place even though there's plenty of places 2 minutes away from my house. My husband and I decided to try this place out for a beer and an appetizer on a Monday afternoon, we sat at the bar (there was no bartender which we found very strange) and were not helped for almost 10 minutes. We finally were acknowledged and ordered our drink and got a menu. The girl left from behind the bar and again we did not see her for another 10 minutes. She finally came back but didn't acknowledge us or ask if we were ready to order, we had to ask her if we can order. After checking the area for local breweries we decided to take a trip to this location due to the recommendation by or Uber Drive which was a local. The brewery has a nice smaller tavern feel at the entrance. There is a counter just inside the front door that serves as a cafe. They offered coffee and muffins. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated immediately. Our order consisted of brews, appetizers, and entrees. We choose an IPA which was full of flavor and paired well with the meal. The appetizers were the full meat/cheese board, the half, and a pretzel. I shared the half and a pretzel with my wife. It was more than enough. The pretzel was huge and the cheese for dipping was perfect. The selection of cheeses, meats, and toasted bread didn't disappoint. The other half of our party ordered the crab cake sandwich with fries and a burger with fries. The sandwiches were large in size and both of them felt they were seasoned and cooked properly. I grabbed a beer menu, looked it over for a few minutes and there was literally nobody around. Then I saw a girl wearing a Copper State T-Shirt, she ran behind the bar, then back out. Didn't say a word to me. Not a "have you been helped" or a "I'll be with you in minute". Nothing. So I walked out and went elsewhere to spend my money. Great food. Great ambiance. Enjoyed dinner here on a Wednesday night - the place was pretty packed and lively. The space itself is appointed nicely merging rustic and modern. We had a group of 6 with a reservation and were seated promptly. Drinks came quickly and we were encouraged by our slightly overly friendly waitress to get the special popcorn...and it was delicious! The main entrees felt to take too long to come out, but when they did, they did not disappoint. Around the table we got the salmon, beef medallions and chicken - all were very good. I really enjoyed everything there. The Bartender, the food, the surrounding, the beer. And the company of my Daughter. We even took home some 6 packs of their beer I am not a drinker so when I ordered a beer that the Bartender has suggested I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it so much. Best beer I have ever had. He suggested the turkey sandwich which I also ordered and that was also the best I have ever had. Not to mention the french fries that were out of this world . Short list = positives. Server was very polite. Appetizers were delicious and generous portions. Atmosphere is pleasant and rustic. Longer list = disappointments. Beer Mac and cheese is made with cheap elbow macaroni (think Kraft) and as DRY as they come. Also very flavorless. I saw this on the menu and couldn't wait to try it, but it really let me down. The blackened shrimp tacos had AMAZING filling, but the shells were some weird taffy-like consistency that was very difficult to chew. The chicken caprese sandwich came with over-saturated, soggy bread. The waitress accidentally spilled an entire pint of beer on a member of our party. She dropped the glass to the floor, breaking it. She was very polite and apologetic, and our friend took the situation with good humor. However, when it came time for the bills, the waitress informed our friend she would STILL BE CHARGED for the beer that was dropped in her lap. The waitress said the manager simply authorized her to give our friend a drink chip, to be used for a free beer on a future visit. Anyone want a drink chip? We will not be returning. read more

We stopped in for a flight and a beer. The decor is very cute--a mix of industrial and rustic. Our favorite beer was the chocolate coffee peanut butter porter nitro. Very disappointed to learn that you couldn't take it home in a can or growler because of the nitro system. Some of the lighter beers were a bit malty, but there's a wide enough selection that you're guaranteed to find a few you'll like. Dogs are allowed outside on the deck! :) read more

This venue is beautiful! The details and the design are phenomenal! Great for small or big groups. I'm giving it a two for the extremely crappy service and the only reason it even gets a two is because the venue is awesome. Today, my in-laws took us there because they had been before and had a great experience. We walk in and sit at the end of the bar. We wait over 10 minutes to get menus...! The bar was only half full with 2 bartenders so there's zero reason we shouldn't have been greeted much sooner. We were served by a brunette woman with a bun on her head. She seemed extremely disinterested and wanted to do everything but acknowledge us. We finally got her attention and were able to get two samples of beer. Then she didn't come back for another 7 or so minutes... After she brought us our drinks, she never checked back in so we definitely didn't order a second drink and just wanted out as soon as possible. Which is unfortunate because the place seemed great. The pros: Beautiful place, great beer & there's a coffee shop inside! Cons: Crappy service which hinders us from ever returning. read more

From the beer to the food to the environment, this was an all around great spot. Tonight was our first time here as we are from out of town, but we will definitely be back if we are ever back in Green Bay. The chocolate peanut butter porter was great and the "turkey melt in my mouth" sandwich was probably one of the best sandwiches I have had from a restaurant- the shaven turkey breast was thick, the bacon was delicious, the guac and housemade chipotle aioli was a perfect addition. Stopped in for dinner with some friends during the wine walk. Have been here before for a quick drink but never sat to eat. First off, it is such a cool, old building that lends itself to an intimate and warm atmosphere. It's so pretty! We got a drink at the bar waiting for our table...they use the text method to let you know when it's ready...which I love. We were seated by the fireplace after a short 10 minute wait and it was so cozy. A couple people got burgers which they loved...one a BLT which she raved over and I got the beef barbacoa tacos which were so insanely delicious! We will definitely be back to try more.
