My wife and I had dinner at Copperhead Grille (Bethlehem) on March 31, 2015. We are from out of town, but this was a planned return visit for us. We were here a year ago. The food was excellent the service was ok at best. We had the Mile High Nachos as an appetizer followed by New York Strip Steak (wife) and BBQ Mixed Grille (myself). First and foremost, the portion sizes were outstanding. The Nachos are obviously meant for 3-4 people and were quite filling. Add to that the entrees and sadly were not able to clear our plates. The quality of New York Strip was on par with a steakhouse both in cut and how it was prepared. The BBQ ribs fell off the bone and very moist. The food was steps above what you would expect from named family grille franchises and because of this Copperhead Grille is our diner place when in the area. However, the service was not. Our booth was not tucked into the back or forgotten, just walked past on more than one occasion. I had to remind our server about my beer order when she just brought the ice tea and water. And, I had to raise an empty glass for a refresh and that's not something I would expect. The noise level was fine and actually my wife and I commented to each other as the evening went on and the place filled in more that the over volume didn't not increase. I went on Aug. 10, 2018 at 5pm with my husband and 4-year-old. We ordered three appetizers: the favorite fries, mile-high nachos, and 10 wings. We had a choice of mild, spicy or BBQ wings; we got hot. The 10 wings were neither spicy nor temperature hot. The nachos were soggy at the first bite; I sent them back. The fries definitely tasted reheated--they were greasy and gross. The cheese was a tasteless blob with soggy bacon bits in it. The fries tasted old. All the appetizers left us not wanting more. When our new plate of nachos came back out, they put the meat sauce and cheese sauce on the side, to keep the nachos from getting soggy again. Yet, some in the middle WERE soggy, apparently from the salsa. I think they prep the nachos far too long in advance, or maybe it took too long to bring our food out to us. Another idea is that the iceberg lettuce they put on it might be wet from being washed. Anyway, the second plate of nachos was also soggy. In addition, we found a large piece of friend batter buried in the nachos. How did that get there? It looked like it fell off some fried fish from the fish and chips. I know that after sitting on the table, nachos can get soggy, but not when they first come out of the kitchen. All the appetizers we got were not fresh. For entrees we ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, a taco salad, and a side of yellow mac and cheese for the kids. The Caesar salad with grilled chicken was fine. It was the best dish on the table. There was something wrong with the taco shell. It was the worst taco shell my husband has ever had. The mac and cheese looked very greasy. It was mostly cheese roue; it was hard for her to find the mac in it and she complained that there was no more (there was, but not much, and underneath mountains of greasy cheese). Our daughter only ate two bites of it. When we came home she asked for more food. Yes, kids are picky and weird about what they eat, but I wouldn't have eaten that mac and cheese either. Copperhead Grill has really gone downhill. I remember when every item we ordered was amazing. We've ordered the nachos, mac and cheese, wings, and fries before and we ate every bite. The dishes we ordered were not as good as they were before. Now, we are grossed out by our meal. I brushed my teeth when I got home to get the feeling of the grease off my teeth. We organized a trip with about 20 family and friends to see the Christmas City, Bethlehem,and we were stuck. Our reservation at another restaurant was cancelled about one week before our visit. We called Copperhead hoping they would be able to help us. The managers,Christina and Carly,were very nice and accommodating. I really enjoyed working with them. Copperhead provided us with a very nice, semiprivate area. There was ample parking and everyone was happy with the food, drink and ambiance. They even offered us separate checks! Copperhead helped to make our visit to Bethlehem a very enjoyable success. If and when we organize another group, we will definitely call Copperhead first! read more

Going to school just right around the corner I go here at least once a month not if more. My friends and I love grabbing a bite here to eat dinner every once in awhile. The staff is very friendly and I am always brought to my table quite quickly with no wait. Their buffalo chicken sandwiches are amazing I must say. Having multiple different types of hot sauce to put on them. It is a great and hardy meal for about $10. Also, their appetizers are amazing the mozzarella sticks are good and so is the crab dip. If you enjoy alcohol at dinner, stay away. A pina colada at the movie theater bar is $8.50. Also, it is the same price as Copperhead. I assume this is why the bar was empty during prime hours. I am biased towards this place because I live so close, I come very often. Really like their avgolemono soup. It is very tasty and veery filling so if you order a bowl, don't order too much more. I am not a big fan of their burgers. The steak is good and better than that is their sides: the sweet potato mash is super yummy as well as the grilled asparagus, and, if you want a small dessert that won't leave you too guilty, order a side of baked apples. I will say, customer service here is great for the Lehigh Valley or anywhere for that matter. My husband and I sat at the bar on a Saturday night. Our bartender Kristen was excellent. She was sweet, attentive, and very friendly. Beer selection was surprisingly good. We had wings and coconut shrimp. Both good. I saw a lot of food come out of the kitchen that looked very good. I would go back to test the food out. As far as atmosphere, eh. Yes, there are a ton of tv's. That is really all that makes it a sports bar. They could do so much to improve it but I guess why would they? They seem to attract a big crowd the way they are. The biggest downfall other than the lack of atmosphere was hearing screaming children in the dining area while sitting at the bar. Was in area for basketball tournament at Desales. This was the closest restaurant. I was super impressed. Loved the menu. Decor is a 3 service a 5 and food a 5. We had nachos for and appetizer. Huge and tasty. I had steakhouse salad that was so good and flavorful. Tried cucumber wasabi dressing and house vinaigrette which were both really good. Son had pulled pork. Went there tonite (Friday) and was seated right away. The food was perfect just the way we wanted it. Servers were very friendly and if they didn't know the answer to something they found out. There was a little hiccup tonite, that I won't go into detail about because ti was rectified immediately. I had eaten there for happy hour and wasn't impressed so I was a little unsure of the quality of food that my date and I would be getting. I would like to update my review because my opinion has made a complete turn around. I used to think that the food was not worth the high prices, but after giving it a second chance I have fallen in love. I must've just had a bad experience before that turned me off because I now come here all the time and am never disappointed. As always, the service is wonderful. I love the steak fajitas and always end up getting them, however everything on this menu is delicious. Something else that is neat is that they always have new specials going on, for instance today they had a gyro, jambalaya, and a carnitas burrito. My friend tried the pork burrito and loved it! I also come here often for the half priced apps Monday through Thursday all the time. All the appetizers are so delicious and it's so fun going out late with friends for a cheap snack.
