I've been going to Coral Dental for 15 years!! Dr. Isaac was great and recently sold the practice to Dr. Ravi Patel!! I've already seen him a few times for procedures and he is SO nice, welcoming, and funny!! He actually listens to your concerns and makes you feel super comfortable the whole time which is HUGE for a dentist!! He's also planning on revamping the office space and I'm honestly so excited to see everything he does with it!! If you're looking for a local dentist, definitely give him a chance!! I have Aetna for dental I went here as new patient. Everything should have been covered by my insurance. I received a bill in the mail trying to get $120. from me. I had to contact them to say I checked my Aetna account and I owe nothing. They gave me some excuse about X-rays but then said I was all set. read more

Man, oh, man, how I wish I'd read these reviews before going here. The first few times were fine: cleanings, maybe a cavity or two. Everyone is super-nice there. I did have one problem though, and I know this is going to sound odd. But she has this habit of putting you back so far in the dentist chair that my head actually felt lower than the rest of me and I found it hard to breathe (I have sleep apnea and can't sleep on my back at all.) Whenever I mentioned this to her, she'd just pat my shoulder and say everything is fine. But I was really starting to develop this anxiety around going to the dentist since I knew I'd spend the whole time feeling like I couldn't breathe right. And believe me, I've had some bad dental experiences, but nothing that created this ongoing level of anxiety. So, on to the bad stuff. Dentists have been bothering me for like 15 years to get a bridge to fill in for a missing molar. I always say no because I feel fine, no pain, etc. Unfortunately, January comes around, insurance is replenished, FSA replenished. So I stupidly say OK. That was 13 months ago. I got the bride done but I kept having to go back and things just didn't seem to be going normally. Seemed to be a problem with the fitting, they kept putting off permanently cementing it in. Then I start developing pain and she tells me I need a root canal on one of the teeth she shaved down for the bridge. I still don't get how she shaved it down, caused a problem, and now I have to pay to fix said problem. And all the while, with me feeling like I can't breathe in that chair. My wife even started saying this doesn't seem right. This should have been done and over with by now. So I came on here and saw the reviews. Have you noticed that every single person who mentions a major dental procedure has given her one star? And all the 5 stars are like "they're polite"? Man, I wish I'd looked here first! So I go to another dentist. Because I'm still experiencing pain even after her root canal. He tells me I need a root canal in the other tooth she's filed down. He also shows me pics showing the bridge isn't fitted correctly and food is getting under it and it will eat away at my tooth under there which will eventually just break apart. So now I'm pretty terrified, I get another root canal (at full cost since both my insurance and FSA are tapped at this point). I go back to her with this knowledge about the ill-fitted bridge. The new dentist even calls her. And she "can't see what's wrong". She even shows me a picture that she takes of the bridge fitting snuggly all the way down to the gum line. When I go back to the new guy and show him the picture, he tells me that pic is from a completely different spot. So she lied, basically. Well, I have waited until the new year since I can't afford any more of this nonsense. I have spent the 9-10 months of 2023 brushing my teeth several times a day and using a water pick, since I'm terrified of losing these other teeth. I have taken tons of Naproxen and Tylenol to fight the pain (scared I'm rotting out my stomach, BTW). I figure the second guy might be wrong too. So I've gone to a 3rd dentist. They removed the bridge and told me the thing was not on correctly at all. They couldn't even get it back on. They said that there was tons of food debris under there. They took x-rays and the root canal she did left some debris in there (dentists seem to use the word debris to describe a lot of different things). So I am currently waiting for my appointment with a root canal specialist, have to get that taken care of, then the bridge done ASAP. This 3rd dentist told me not to chew on that side of my mouth. That because of the teeth being shaved down and the nerves pretty much gone, they are very weak and could break easily. So in the end, I've had 13 months of pain, spent almost 5 figures (with who knows how much more on the way), and am worse off in ever way because of listening to this fool. All I can say is, this lady reminds me of that spinal guy from the podcast Dr. Death. Just thank god she deals with only teeth. read more

I was told I had 10 cavities and needed to be prepped for a root canal. I was giving a temporary filling and it fell out two weeks later. Terrified to go back I went to a new dentist for a second opinion. The new dentist looked at the X-rays they took and did an exam. I only had 2 cavities and he said I didn't not need a root canal according so the files coral dental sent over. He said it was just a surface cavity and they did not need to drill to my nerve. The new dentist filled it up. Fast forward 2 years later now the tooth that was prepped for a root canal is infected and dying. read more

I first want to say that the receptionist and dental hygienists were wonderful. However, I can not continue to go to a dentist I do not trust or like because of them. Dr. Isaac is rude, does not explain things very well and was very rough and the procedures I had done were painful, when they didn't need to be. Unfortunately I stuck it out and was with them for a full 2 years because of the convenient location, but I finally had enough. I feel that she does not care about her patients, only the bottom line. And I am not the only one who thinks this. I have heard the same feedback from anyone else who has tried this office. Again the receptionist and hygienists couldn't have been better. I went to Dr. Isaac because I had gotten a flyer in the mail shortly after moving to Salem that they had Saturday hours. How convenient, I thought. Only to find out that getting a Saturday appointment is almost impossible, and when you show up you will be waiting at least thirty minutes to be seen by the dentist because they jam pack the schedule so tightly that not only will you waste your Saturday afternoon waiting, but Dr. Isaac will continue to interrupt your appointment to check on other patients. This doesn't happen on rare occasions; no this happens constantly. Dr. Isaac cannot focus on her patients because she's trying to see several of them all at once. I went to Dr. Isaac at first for my terrible TMJ pain. Dr. Isaac said that I would need a nightguard but that I needed to have a bunch of work done on my teeth before that could happen. I believed her because my teeth had always been problematic. My anxiety when it comes to the dentist is so great that I had not gone in many years when I was younger and now I pay the price for that fear. If you have any anxiety about the dentist I can promise you that Dr. Isaac will make it worse. Not only did Dr. Isaac make up issues in my mouth that simply don't exist, according to other dentists, but there was a problem with every single filling she ever put into my mouth. I have seen other dentists and received other fillings but never had to go back repeatedly for adjustments, never had problems flossing after because of the pain. Dr. Isaac spent an entire appointment once convincing me that I was making up my own pain and everything was fine. I went to a different dentist in Boston who filed that filling down for me so that I could stop taking handfuls of Ibuprofen every day. It was such a simple fix but Dr. Isaac's focus is so split, it's no wonder that it was easier to mess with my psychology than it was to fix the actual problem. Dr. Isaac insisted I needed four crowns and while drilling for one of them, a root canal happened. This was the most miserable experience because Dr. Isaac could not keep me numb. She would numb me up and then go visit four other patients so by the time she came back to me the Novocain had already started to wear off. I had to see her several times for this procedure and when she wanted me to come back for a fourth time, I could not do it. Instead, she "accommodated" me by staying after the practice closed to finish up my root canal. It didn't stop her from guilt tripping me about how she had to stay late to finish the very expensive work on my teeth. The last straw was when the receptionist called me to remind me about an appointment I had to get a filling done. I told the receptionist I did not want the filling done because I was still in pain from the last one. I only wanted Dr. Isaac to look at the work she had already done to see if it needed an adjustment. The receptionist said she would convey the message to Dr. Isaac. Ten minutes later I was getting a call from Dr. Isaac insisting that the filling she had given me was just fine and that I couldn't waste a Saturday and not get work done that was scheduled because "everyone wants Saturday appointments". I was guilt tripped into agreeing to get work done that I did not want done. Dr. Isaac ended up apologizing to me a lot that day because she was over an hour late to see me because as usual, she had overbooked. I was done with her at that point, but I let her do that last bit of work on my teeth. I saw my new dentist and explained to them I couldn't have a real nightguard because I needed two more crowns. They could not figure out why Dr. Isaac thought that I needed two expensive crowns when there was nothing wrong with those teeth. Worse yet, they discovered that the homemade nightguard that Dr. Isaac had made me was an Invisalign tray. It was hardly surprising given how hard everyone in that office upsells Invisalign. She still managed to charge me over a hundred dollars for it anyway. The new dentist told me it was useless and that I should have been given a proper nightguard a long time ago. They could not say whether the rest of the work Dr. Isaac had done on my mouth was unnecessary as that damage was already done. But it's reasonable to think that at least some of it was unnecessary given that she wouldn't make me a proper nightguard because she wanted to charge me for more work I didn't need. TL;DR Dr. Isaac is a terrible person who will gaslight you and play on your anxieties. She will try to charge you for work that is unnecessary. You will sit for over thirty minutes after your appointment time because she is so overbooked. She will walk out of your appointment to check on another patient at least twice. Patient care means nothing to her. She is only after your $$$$. She let me live with terrible TMJ pain for over a year just so she could make more money from me. read more

This place offers aweful costumer service! Tried to cancel an apt with them and they refuse to cancel it, said I better make to the apt because either way I was going to be charged. I told them the only thing they could charge me was a cancelation fee, they can't charge me for service they didn't provide. The lady (Sharon) hung up on my face when I said that. I called back and she hung up again. I spoke with my insurance they said it's illegal for them to charge for the fillings I didn't have done, and since they called me to confirm and I didn't confirm the apt that is considered a cancelation so I shouldn't be charged a cancelation fee either. Had my fiancée call them, and they hung up on him too. They said they weren't going to explain it to us, looks like they will get a sue if they charge me, and i still don't know what the cancelation fee is. DO NOT GO THERE!!!! read more

CRIMINAL This dentist has a hygienist who discussed my personal medical history with a local pharmacist who intern voided my pain prescription. Without going into detail, my complaint has been registered with the Ma. department of public health. CUSTOMER / PATIENT SERVICE Constantly being interrupted during treatments by other patients typically regarding pricing quote problems. PRACTICE QUALITY The dental assistant who was handling the suction tool jabbed the bottom of my mouth so many times and so abruptly that I was in bad pain for many days. The extraction took well over an hour and a half, meanwhile no guard or personal respect to the area's of my mouth, or other extremities were taken in consideration. My jaw was in extreme pain for days and days after and still is. COUNTER PRODUCTIVE / JUVENAL TACTICS My initial appointment I arrived for without the complete funds to pay for the service. I was pretty much threatened that I was going to be billed $75 for not rescheduling with a 72 hour notice. read more

In the beginning it was ok. I went here as a recommendation of my boyfriends family member. During my initial appointment the woman who works the desk also cleaned my teeth and did my X-rays. They were all over the place. She stopped in the middle of my appointment atleast three times to help someone else, take a call or talk to another patient. I had to have a root canal and was given a printed out price of $350 (what my insurance wouldn't cover) this was totally fine and I signed it set up a payment plan and made the appointments for treatment. After my root canal my bill was over $690!!!!!!!!! The woman at the desk, who is all over the place, told me "well you needed filler and that costs more" after I refused to pay the remainder because one I was misquoted, and two because my tooth STILL has issues that they wouldn't fix, they tried to bring me to small claims court!!!!!!! I will NEVER go back here and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!!!!!! Now I am in the process of having my tooth that I had my root canal on FIXED and having to spend more money to do so!!!!!! RIDICULOUS!! read more
