I arrived at 11:38AM on a Saturday morning, and the place was quite packed, but we were still able to find a table for five indoors. I placed my order on the kiosk, which I found very easy to use. I ordered Smoothie 5 and Panini 6. This came out to $36.97. For the smoothie, I subbed out strawberries (because I'm allergic) and added bananas. I found that to be a really great option that they have at no extra charge. For the panini, I didn't realize they had half and full orders until I got up to the kiosk. I opted for the full order, and then realized once I sat down that I probably would have been better off with the half option. My smoothie arrived at the table at 11:49, whereas my panini arrived at 11:53, so the wait in total was about 15 minutes which is not bad at all for how busy it was. My friends ordered the Greens 5 with prosciutto, Toast 4, Bowl 1, Bowl 6, and everyone agreed that we would definitely come back. One thing that was funny to us is that we felt like the photos on the menu looked smaller than the portions that actually arrived. My friend ordered the Greens and a Bowl thinking it would be small, and she realized very quickly that she was going to need a takeout box for her salad. (This is a good problem to have, rather than the other way around!). The service was also top notch. Even though I ordered on the kiosk, I was still able to interact with the employees, as they frequently came around to ask if they could clear off plates from our table. I also went up to the front to ask for a box, and she kindly directed me to where the boxes were located that I could just grab. Next time, I would definitely mentally prepare myself for how busy it is, but for the quality of ingredients, and the portion size, I think it is great and would definitely come back. read more

We stopped in here our first morning in SLO. There is a Starbucks across the way, but I always try to support local and small businesses as much as I can when traveling. So, we decided to go here instead of Starbucks. I get Starbucks often for the convenience but wanted a good cup of coffee, not my mediocre "usual." We were a group of five, with three kiddos; two were on the younger side and a bit picky. Once we figured out what the kids wanted, we went to the counter to order at 11:03 AM. As you can imagine, getting two little girls out of their comfort zone for our late "breakfast" took a little work. When we reached the counter to order, the cashier told us, "Oh, sorry, we stop serving the bagel sandwiches at 11 AM," as she removed the bagel menu that had been sitting on the counter. That's fine, if that is policy, then that is policy. The rest of us placed our orders. I was able to get my daughter to order avocado toast but my sister had to take my niece across the way to Starbucks for a bagel. So, when I came in to grab my food and saw bagel sandwiches on the counter prepared, I assumed someone had ordered them before us. I was wrong because, while I was waiting for our food, a man who had been in line behind us came up and grabbed one of them. Shortly after that, I noticed a woman came into the café as I was getting some napkins eating a bagel sandwich. That was an even bigger shock because she had come in at least ten minutes after us. On top of that the cashier seemed incredibly annoyed with us when we asked questions about the menu and made substitutions. Long story short, the food we did get was great, however, the entire situation was super frustrating. The avocado toast with prosciutto and burrata was delicious, and my chai latte hit the spot. Due to running to multiple places to get everyone else situated, I didn't really get to sit and enjoy my meal, and neither did my sister. Food: 4.25. Came by on a Wednesday just after 2 pm. I never thought of coming to this place because of the name. I thought this was a vegetarian restaurant but they had flatbread with pepperoni and chicken sandwiches. Place had only a few customers at the time. There is inside and outside seating. Great selection - açaí bowl was perfect size. Avocado toast had a generous portion of sprouts. Panini was good, could have been toasted a little more. Seating options inside or outside with plenty of umbrellas and shade. We went on a Saturday late morning and they had a DJ playing music that was so loud we couldn't hold a conversation inside. It's got a "healthy hipster" vibe, which can be cool, as they have an indoor/outdoor patio with both communal and private tables.
