Have been here only once before and I had the brioche French toast. My recollection is that it was "different". I also recalled the risque picture of Burt Reynolds in the ladies room!! I was able to park in a handicapped place a couple of storefronts down. I was greeted with a "just one?", which as a single diner always gets my hackles up, do better!! The folks were friendly, it was pretty crowded. I considered the Eggs Benedict but was disappointed to see that the Hollandaise was "creole" flavored. I ended up ordering a basic breakfast: eggs, bacon, potatoes, english muffin. Can't go wrong with that, right? I ordered my eggs "broken over-hard" but they came out over-hard. I order this way to have the yolk spread out into the white. The english muffin was grilled, so not hard on the outside, but it was still good. The eggs were rubbery. The potatoes were a bit too spicy, I needed ketchup to eat them. Bacon was OK. Thin napkins, needed more. Plate was chipped. Had to use the restroom before leaving, it is now a gender neutral bathroom and Burt Reynolds is still presented in all his glory!! I must have a totally different sense of humor. Won't be back here, nothing on their menu appeals to me. Sorry.

Such a neat place by the water, especially to sit outside in the morning with the fog. So many things on the menu looked delicious, not your average plain menu. Sexy coffee was so yum, Chilaquilles had great flavor. Very friendly service too!

I had to take a picture of the motherland.

I had the Leroy Brown Potatoes. Sorry no picture, I dug in immediately. If you like loaded potatoes, then you'll love these. Ask for an extra salsa. My family also had the This Toast is Bananas . The cafe was cute, clean, and home-y. We'll be back next time we visit!

Free parking in large lot outside. Line up 20 minutes for table to clear for us. Food was excellent and good value for price. ABC scrambled eggs onion bacon was excellent, avocado sprouts on top. Pancake whipped butter was very good. Service great, refilled coffee as needed. Ambiance excellent for breakfast. 5 stars out of 5.

Such a charming little mom and pop breakfast spot! The location is fantastic with a beautiful view of the rock and easy access to everything in the area. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the customer service truly stood out. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. I ordered the Ivan sandwich, which was okay, but my boyfriend's eggs Benedict was delicious. The real highlight for me, though, was the Sexy Coffee, which quickly became my favorite. Between the wonderful service, cozy atmosphere, and beautiful setting, this spot is definitely worth a visit

We were able to try their cinnamon rolls since we stay at the hotel next door. Staff was nice and treats were good. Definitely will return to try their full breakfast. Plenty of parking spaces.

This place is awesome, from the vibe, decor, to the food and staff, just all around cool. I went there for breakfast on a monday morning, I read they have tofu, plant based sausage and soyrizo to substitute in the dishes. We walked in and were seated within a few minutes. We got the last indoor table. There is outside seating with an ocean view. It was a bit cold, so I chose indoor. The indoor decor is super cool. The server was friendly. They also had someone that came around to refill our drinks while our server was busy. They worked as a team, as a restaurant should and it made service great. I ordered their veggie breakfast burrito and substituted tofu in place of egg. The portions are huge! My niece got the Abba dacca and she loved it. She also got "the fancy" coffee. It had whipped cream and I think mocha in it, it looked really good. The food came out timely. I want to go back and try more dishes!

Arrived here on a sleepy morning to get some grub before hitting the road. I chose this place because my best friend's dogs are named Frankie and Lola! The service was great and friendly. The food was also delicious and unique. Ambiance is in a cute, calm, refreshing place. Cute otters nearby.

This place had fantastic service and great food! So much local charm too, with drawings and art and slogans decorating the place, it really is a special place to enjoy breakfast when you're in Morro Bay. We had a few things and it was all great - from the breakfast burritos to the grits to the pancakes, there were lots of classic and unique options, and everything was done right!

This is a tough one, I was searching for a breakfast spot that had high reviews. And this was one of them based off of what people were saying we thought we'd try it out. This is a very small restaurant and I mean small, if you had 5 or more people you wouldn't fit in there. The coffee was decent, the service was okay. The food was alright, I had a grilled cheese with chiles in it and I really liked it except the potatoes. The bathroom had a very hairy Burt Reynolds that I really didn't want to see after eating my meal but unfortunately I did was grossed out. I personally love supporting local restaurants but this is one place I won't be coming back too, unfortunately.

We came here two days in a row. Hadn't been in Morro Bay for several years but this place is still the same. Very yummy. Very consistent. Staff is the best. If you are vegetarian or vegan you can't miss this place.

Easily THE BEST Benedict, I've ever had! Can't remember it's name, but it had a delicious hollandaise sauce, grits, fried green & !

The food is SO GOOD; the service is AMAZING; and the ambiance is FUN!!!! Even though it was a bit windy & chilly, we chose to sit outside and enjoy the view of Morro Rock. However, if you opt for indoor dining, you are treated to an eclectic array of decor full of witty sayings. A portrait of Burt Reynolds will greet you in the restroom. The staff is fun and will happily tell you their favorites. In fact, it is often shared that the owner married her husband for his hollandaise sauce recipe. Don't worry if you add your name to the list amd wander across the street, you'll hear your name called...no megaphone or buzzer necessary. My wife went with our server's favorite the Crazy Ivan Sando. She didnt talk much and nothing was left on the plate, so I'm guessing it was pretty good. One of the many things I appreciate about this place is they do not charge extra for you to swap meat for a vegetarian option (i.e. avocado, tofu, etc.). I went with the one of the best Benedicts I've ever had! Sadly, I have forgotten the name. However, the textures & flavors are still fresh in my memory. In lieu of a bread, the base of grits gave it completely different spin. The perfectly cooked fried green tomatoes were the best part, crispy &delicious! The eggs were also cooked to perfection. It was all topped with the aforementioned hollandaise sauce that had just a hint of spice. The side of potatoes were also crispy yumminess! Y'all. SO. GOOD!

Turkey sausage, chorizo, egg and potato burrito. It came with a side of guacamole and salsa.

The clam chowder is something you do not want to miss out on. And the complementary sourdough bread that is included is exquisite. We tend to always be a larger party, somewhere between 8 & 12 attending. This year there was a bit of a snag in that they have few larger tables that can accommodate us, and that was being used when we arrived. The issue was not the fault of the restaurant, just a thing that happened, causing the wait to be significantly longer as those before us were deeply engaged in conversation. The staff made other accommodations for us by creating a large table out of numerous two tops, which we appreciated very much. Our server was Kathy, and she was absolutely delightful; could not have done anything better. She was pleasant, humorous, very accurate and efficient. I let Kathy know it was my brother's birthday and she arranged to have a beautiful chocolate mousse delivered to the table and we sang happy birthday to him, making for an even increased great experience.

AMBIANCE: the decor was nice. We actually got a table with a view of Morro rock, but it was half covered with fog. There's also outside seating that have space heaters and umbrellas. FOOD: the seafood omelette was topped with one shrimp and filled with 75% mushrooms and bits of crab and a little more shrimp my wife ordered scrambled eggs, but with the option of three pancakes instead of potatoes, however we did notice a textural difference in the eggs. I'm not sure whether they use liquid eggs substitutes because they were a bit runny but we thought they were very thin not thick and fluffy, but they did taste OK the coffee was good. The tea. My wife ordered was just luke warm so she asked for another pot and it was still not hot. NOTE: the Embarcadero and front Street has become extremely overcrowded on the weekends and that stands true with Pismo and Avila and Cayucos. i'm glad we were able to enjoy these places before they got this way.

Unfortunately, each visit has felt a little less impressive than the one before it, and this most recent experience was disappointing enough that I probably would not return. Parking is usually easy, and I have never had to walk more than a couple of minutes. There are also a couple of EV spaces nearby. When my girlfriend and I walked inside, the restaurant felt unusually warm, humid, and stuffy. It was uncomfortable enough that we briefly considered leaving. We chose outdoor seating instead, but that comes with its own drawbacks. The tables are exposed to the afternoon sun, pedestrians walk just feet away, vehicles pass close by, and the working dock is nearby, so you hear forklifts, unloading equipment, and active fishing operations throughout the meal. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which I have ordered on all three visits. They were good and are honestly one of the main reasons I have continued returning. They are not easy to find where I live, and this version is enjoyable, even if it is not on the level of what I have had in places like New Orleans. My girlfriend ordered the clam chowder with bacon. We have been comparing clam chowders around the Central Coast, and unfortunately this one ranked last among the several we have tried so far. She described it as average and nothing memorable. I ordered the steamer clams, and this was easily the biggest disappointment. The very first clam I ate had noticeable grit in it, and unfortunately that continued through most of the bowl. I would estimate that the majority of the clams had some amount of sand or grit, which made them unpleasant to eat. I also found one clam that remained completely closed after cooking. I left it untouched. At a restaurant specializing in seafood, I expected more careful preparation and inspection. The broth was also surprisingly bland. I ended up adding hot sauce just to give it more flavor. As I worked through the broth, I also noticed three small hairs. I cannot say where they came from, but finding multiple hairs in the same dish was understandably concerning and further reduced my appetite. The service did not help. Our server took our order, delivered drinks and food, and eventually brought the check, but there was very little interaction between those points. No one checked whether we needed anything or asked how the food was going. That was especially frustrating because if someone had checked in, I would have had an opportunity to mention the problems with the clams while I was eating them. Overall, the Oysters Rockefeller were still good, but almost everything else about this visit was disappointing: the uncomfortable indoor environment, noisy outdoor seating, average chowder, gritty clams, bland broth, cleanliness concerns, and minimal service. I have enjoyed this restaurant more in the past, but after this experience, I think there are other places around Morro Bay where I would rather spend my money.
