Service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. Classic eggs benedict - Eggs were perfectly poached and hollandaise sauce was thick and heavy. I opted for grits instead of potatoes and thought its consistency was perfect. Andouille and shrimp scramble - We really enjoyed how bell peppers were shredded because they were a lot more flavorful than usual. It is a little spicy but overall was tasty. We used to love this breakfast spot but we were a little disappointed by our last visit. Potatoes were really over seasoned and very small portion of them. Kids pancakes were odd, there was one very large one and one very tiny, but seemed to be enjoyed all the same. Just didn't look very good. The French toast was not our favorite. Tasted burnt and was undercooked in the middle. Very wet, and odd flavor. LOVE that there are vegan options! Super accommodating and of dietary restrictions which is so helpful and really appreciated. Eggs were cooked really well, bacon was yummy, food seemed fresh. Our server seemed to forget about us for most of the meal but we are low maintenance so it wasn't a big deal. We did ask for a refill of coffee at one point and the staff took the cup and just never brought it back which was a bummer. Great location although we sat outside this time and we were freezing even with jackets. An outdoor heater would go a long way for this place being so close to the water! Have been here only once before and I had the brioche French toast. My recollection is that it was "different". I also recalled the risque picture of Burt Reynolds in the ladies room!! I was able to park in a handicapped place a couple of storefronts down. I was greeted with a "just one?", which as a single diner always gets my hackles up, do better!! The folks were friendly, it was pretty crowded. I considered the Eggs Benedict but was disappointed to see that the Hollandaise was "creole" flavored. I ended up ordering a basic breakfast: eggs, bacon, potatoes, english muffin. Can't go wrong with that, right? I ordered my eggs "broken over-hard" but they came out over-hard. I order this way to have the yolk spread out into the white. The english muffin was grilled, so not hard on the outside, but it was still good. The eggs were rubbery. The potatoes were a bit too spicy, I needed ketchup to eat them. Bacon was OK. Thin napkins, needed more. Plate was chipped. Had to use the restroom before leaving, it is now a gender neutral bathroom and Burt Reynolds is still presented in all his glory!! I must have a totally different sense of humor. Such a charming little mom and pop breakfast spot! The location is fantastic with a beautiful view of the rock and easy access to everything in the area. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the customer service truly stood out. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. This place is awesome, from the vibe, decor, to the food and staff, just all around cool. I went there for breakfast on a monday morning, I read they have tofu, plant based sausage and soyrizo to substitute in the dishes. We walked in and were seated within a few minutes. We got the last indoor table. There is outside seating with an ocean view. It was a bit cold, so I chose indoor. The indoor decor is super cool. The server was friendly. They also had someone that came around to refill our drinks while our server was busy. They worked as a team, as a restaurant should and it made service great. I ordered their veggie breakfast burrito and substituted tofu in place of egg. The portions are huge! My niece got the Abba dacca and she loved it. She also got "the fancy" coffee. It had whipped cream and I think mocha in it, it looked really good. The food came out timely. I want to go back and try more dishes! read more

This is a tough one, I was searching for a breakfast spot that had high reviews. And this was one of them based off of what people were saying we thought we'd try it out. This is a very small restaurant and I mean small, if you had 5 or more people you wouldn't fit in there. The coffee was decent, the service was okay. The food was alright, I had a grilled cheese with chiles in it and I really liked it except the potatoes. The bathroom had a very hairy Burt Reynolds that I really didn't want to see after eating my meal but unfortunately I did was grossed out. My wife went with our server's favorite the Crazy Ivan Sando. She didnt talk much and nothing was left on the plate, so I'm guessing it was pretty good. One of the many things I appreciate about this place is they do not charge extra for you to swap meat for a vegetarian option (i.e. avocado, tofu, etc.). I went with the one of the best Benedicts I've ever had! Sadly, I have forgotten the name. However, the textures & flavors are still fresh in my memory. In lieu of a bread, the base of grits gave it completely different spin. The perfectly cooked fried green tomatoes were the best part, crispy &delicious! The eggs were also cooked to perfection. Super busy Saturday morning so we had to wait about a half hour. Well worth the wait!!! We had our dog so we ate outside, although I did go inside a the restaurant was clean and organized. Ok, let's just start with the ultimate, best, over the top corned beef hash and eggs!!! Came here passing by morro bay to see the rock on a road trip to go up north! And it literally has the perfect view of it! The inside is very small and they do have seating outside also. I like that inside they have dogs posted for adoption I believe and just seems like a family vibe restaurant. I did feel some of the workers came off kind of rude but not sure if it was just an off day for them or if I took it the wrong way but besides that everything else was fine. We have been here twice while visiting Morro Bay. This restaurant has a cute vibe and charm to it, with an amazing view of the rock directly across the street. The staff is very friendly, and while their may be a wait to get seated, the turn around time is fairly quick (tip: while waiting, walk directly across the street to see if the otters are out at the "otter nursery") On our most recent visit, I had the Diggler breakfast burrito and my husband had the Chilaquiles. The burrito was very large and definitely enough food for one person. The sausage in the burrito had a very strong taste to it that I couldn't identify, after my husband took one bite he said that the sausage has fennel in it. I was not a fan, so I picked around the sausage. My husband's Chilaquiles was good, but they drenched the plate in the sauce and it became overwhelming half way through. Would ask for light sauce, as you can always ask for more if you need it. In general, their menu is more eclectic and healthier than the standard breakfast options we are accustomed to. We will still likely return when in the area, and stick to the classic breakfast, their toasts, or their pancakes and cinnamon rolls. read more

I wanted to sit at an empty table outside and I was absolutely willing to clean the table myself. I asked the girl behind the counter if I could use a squirt bottle to clean the table, and she said she would come outside and clean it herself. I waited and waited for her, but she was busy with customers which I understand. Finally my order came up in my table still wasn't clean. Again, I asked the girl behind the counter if she had a squirt bottle I could use, and the man from the kitchen said he would clean the table for me. He then removed a towel that he was already carrying, which was very likely unclean, and use that to clean my table. I ordered the breakfast croissant based on how it was described on the menu. When the sandwich came out, I was surprised to see that it had lettuce and tomato, as these items were not listed. I am a recent transplant recipient, and cannot have fruits or vegetables out from public restaurants so I threw the sandwich away. Have those items been listed on the menu for the sandwich, I obviously would have asked them to hold the tomato and lettuce. I also tried using the hand sanitizer attached to the wall, but it was empty. It is because of places like this. I do not like tipping until after I get my meal. read more

Enjoyed their All in Good Fungi - perfect if you're a mushroom lover. A tasty twist on the classic Eggs Benedict. What a treat this place was! We were staying in an Airbnb right next door and noticed there was a line out the door every morning, so we decided to give it a try. Be prepared for a bit of a wait in the mornings, but it's absolutely worth it. The zucchini pancake was delicious, and the chilaquiles were to die for.
