As a local, I can say that San Luis Obispo has only a small handful of restaurants that fall into the category of "hole in the wall with good food". This is one of those places. It's just *barely* outside of downtown (still within walking distance) so the onsite parking lot is wide open after 5pm on a bustling Friday evening. Staff is warm and friendly on each of my three visits so far. The food inexplicably feels homemade. Their green curry is good. Perhaps very good. If it had wild mushrooms and was a tad less spicy then I would say it's nearing absolute perfection. This place rocks! I had the opportunity to cater a lunch from hungry mother for a Office recently and the food was delicious. Healthy portions, reasonable prices. Healthy food. The arugula was so fresh and peppery, the pickled vegetables were right on point. A great blend of flavors. You would be missing out if you don't try the spot out a few times. The shrimp rice bowl was delicious, the shrimp and grits were a hit, and the bahn mi sandwich looked fantastic. Everybody loved their meals. What a pleasant experience! I ordered the hot noodles with pork and chili hoisin sauce. It was delicious! The pork was tender, juice with crispy edges. The fried shallot on top just completed the dish so well for me. The owner so a total gem as well. I was asking about the butter mochi dessert and she sent me home with one. It was butter and chewy and also absolutely delicious. I thought it wouldn't be sweet enough for my husband as he typically likes really sweet treats, but his response was "What is this?
