From the moment you walk in the Service is amazing, ambience amazing, food fresh and always amazing!

We came in for pizza and ended up ordering sandwiches, wings, and appetizers just based on the live interactions we witnessed with Al and his patrons. It's very nice to see the restaurant welcoming everyone, serving everyone with this neighborhood, community vibe and Al was really nice and he always told us "...it's delicious, you're gonna love it...try this!" He was really nice and our family had a great lunch here on Saturday, May 9th. Al made sure to get to know us as we chatted over the meal and I even had to opportunity to see the fine dining restaurant room ( Gorgeous!) and I also saw the Soprano Room, with a beautiful painting of the cast! The Food: 10/10 Cheesesteak on a 10" Italian bread roll. The Mozzarella sticks were 10/10 with their house sauce, Wings were so delicious, our kids LOVED them and the blue cheese was soooo good. The prosciutto sandwich with the house made roasted red peppers are excellent- if not the best roasted red peppers I've ever eaten! The pizza is a thin style, similar to NY ( Brooklyn ) pizza. Took Another (Long anticipated) trip here. Love it love it love it. Food is amazing, staff is wonderful. Nicky, our waitress, was so attentive and wonderful (& it was a very busy night) ; the place is nice & clean. We shared mussels marinara (medium heat) for appetizer special & they were PERFECT; the mussels were on the smaller side which we prefer bc they're more tender, and the sauce was delicious--not too much heat, a little sweet, just right! For dinner I had the absolutely delicious stuffed pork chop from the menu, hubby got the "best-ever" fettuccine Alfredo special (w/peas & prosciutto added) tossed right in front of us in the huge cheese wheel. We went to celebrate a couples wedding anniversary. What a great meal. The server, BOBBY was professional, but nice to talk with and took care of us. I had the Mussels in mild sauce for an appetizer. We attended a company party here again this year last Saturday night. The food could possibly be the best food I have ever had at any restaurant in my life. To start we had two green salads, spicy shrimp, clams oreganata, eggplant rollatini, pasta alfredo, and calamari all served family style. Then the entree we picked-Filet Mignon and a Lobster tail with potatoes and greens. EVERYTHING was AMAZING! For dessert there was an assortment of sweets including Tiramisu and Cannoli's. The owners are so nice and were on the floor the entire time ensuring everything went the way it should. I thought I left a review 6 months ago about how incredible our experience was dining at Cordi's! On a very cold winter night, my husband and I were unexpectedly served on the pizza side as the restaurant was full and though we thought we were out of luck, that night will always stay in our memories! We were treated like family by the charming Dominic, sweet Agio, and kind Frank! I felt like the restaurant had closed just for us. I ordered the penne and every bite was scrumptious. The wine complimented it perfectly and the garlic bread from Brooklyn was crispy, hot, juicy and mouth watering. A warm thanks and round of applause to this family-owned business as the chef is Dominic's son and is oh so talented! I just had the greatest meal ever . I started out with the Italian Long Hots , they serve it with a cream sauce that pairs so nicely with the spiciness of the peppers. Some of them are mild, and some of them are blazing hot. You never know what you're gonna get. But the bottom line is when you get a hot one, it makes your whole meal taste better. Then came the eggplant rolatinni ... not even gonna tell you how delicious this was. OK. Next was a wedge salad with the most delicious creamy peppercorn and bacon dressing I've ever had. This is so ridiculous. I cook at home all the time, but I can't make anything this good . Yet. Finally, the main course is here... It's a Baramundi filet , which is like a flounder . This fish is perfectly cooked., it's francese style .... capers, cracked pepper, sea salt, So good . In the background, we have Frankie Ciccala , playing guitar --on top of all of this incredible cuisine, we have live music played by a guy who is so Italian , his right and left hands must be made of mozzarella . It is a rare pleasure to see such hard-working people in the restaurant business, who are always always present in the dining room, coming out to visit , going table to table... So I'm in the minority it seems but did not enjoy. Started out with waiting until a foyer with no real idea what to do. Says to wait for hostess who never came. After several minutes I went inside the dining room and found her. Why have a desk and hostess see if no one is there. Got seated. Server seemed nice. Ordered drinks and she gave us specials. Came vs k shortly and took the order. Still no drinks. Apps came out ( separately). Still no drinks. Finally flagged her down for drinks. Apps were good. Food came out. Chicken parm and a veal chop parm. Chicken parm was good although a little thin and dry. Veal chop was dry and really thin and to my surprise when the bill came $73! Never received or was asked a refill. On top of all that the restaurant desperately needs sound proofing. It was really loud. Got the bill and even that was annoying. They process at the table which is fine but the server runs the card then hands it to you and waits for you to choose the tip amount. No pressure there. It seemed looking around that if they knew who you were service was great. Otherwise it was very weak. PURE EXCELLENCE!!! I brought my mom here for her birthday yesterday and was treated like royalty as soon as we walked in. The owner, Dominic is caring and accommodating. Service was impeccable. We ordered shrimp sambuca and escargot for appetizers. Magnificent!!! For dinner we ordered fettuccine Alfredo, linguini, and white clam sauce, and the stuffed pork chop. All of the dinners were fabulous but we all praise the stuffed pork chop. The best I've ever had marinated all the way through and cooked perfectly. So, coming from a family who own and run two italian restaurants I can tell you if it was just one thing that went awry we might not be writing this review but unfortunately here we are.. for our 10 year anniversary we decided to give cordi's a try.. my wife and I walked into the vestibule where the host stand and seat is, there was no one to greet us and no sign to instruct us to walk through the second set of doors where guests are dining literally a few feet away and where they DO greet you at a fold out table, very confusing.. our table was halfway into the aisle where staff was doing a dance around us until they asked if we wanted our table to be moved about a foot into the dining room.. her entree came out four to five minutes before mine which is uncalled for.. there were tongs placed across our plates on almost everything we ordered including her fettucini alfredo, just weird.. and literally half the entrees on their regular menu was MP so I suppose they could charge whatever they wanted and they did.. our biggest gripe was we felt very rushed at the end.. the girl who was bussing our table asked if she could take our plates and if we wanted boxes to go and I wasn't even finished with my main entree yet.. didn't ask us if we wanted dessert or coffee (we had to ask multiple people) which is highly unusual and it took the waiter FOREVER to come out with the check after we asked for it which tells us they were definitely behind the eight ball.. the ambiance was excellent, presentation was beautiful and the staff extra friendly although they were unorganized and things felt VERY rushed.. the food was good including my steak which was perfectly cooked, but the garlic bread was saturated with oil and the seasoning on everything was lacking.. bottom line.. they fell short of the mark you want when going out for fine dining.. sorry but we won't be back anytime soon. read more

Soooo good and exceptional service. Every time we come to Cordi's we feel like we're having dinner with family. The owner always comes to check on you throughout the meal. Definitely one of our favorite hidden gems. They always have live music to set the vibe for a nice romantic dinner. I had the pasta alla ruota special with truffles and it changed my life. I'll be dreaming of it for weeks. My boyfriend got the cavatelli entree and absolutely loved it. We typically order the eggplant rollatini because it's perfection. A Disappointing Experience - Never Even Got Seated! I go out to restaurants all the time--popular spots, classy fine dining, trendy new places, and even small family-owned gems. Never in all my experiences have I encountered something like this. We had a 7:30 PM reservation on a weeknight and arrived promptly at 7:25 PM. Upon entering, we saw a sign that read, "Please wait to be seated." There was a hostess podium, but no one in sight. We waited 10 minutes before even seeing an employee. What made it worse? The first person we did see, who appeared to be a manager or possibly the owner, was engaged in a casual conversation about hosting parties and how much space the restaurant had. They then casually walked up to the front, grabbed a business card, and completely ignored us. By this point, it was 15 minutes past our reservation time, and still not a single person had acknowledged us, let alone seated us. At that point, we were furious and decided to leave. How does a restaurant run like this? No greeting, no service, and no regard for reservations. I understand being busy, but this was completely unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We didn't even get to sit down, let alone enjoy a meal! Absolutely terrible experience. Zero stars if I could. read more

My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and the staff was extremely nice, as well as the food being amazing!

Everything was perfect....from the parking to the desert....we couldn't have asked for more. The fettuccini alfredo was absolutely the best that I have ever had, with homemade pasta noodles and a to-die-for alfredo sauce. Add to that a very good calamari appetizer and an outstanding cannoli (the best around) and the dinner was most memorable. But to top it off, the service was lights out. Gianna was a wonderful mix of personality, menu knowledge and a strong attention to detail. We couldn't have asked for a better evening, and we look forward to a return visit, sooner rather than later! read more

The place is amazing - Dominic, the owner, is a special man warm and welcoming. I retired from a 40+ year career in the fine wine industry in 2017. In that capacity I was fortunate enough to eat in many of the great restaurants around the US and the world. Cordi's shares one important trait with those restaurants. Dominic, the owner, truly cares and is honestly pursuing excellence. For example, he sources his bread from 5 different bakeries in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Newark, you will not find better veal anywhere, and the red sauce is bright and delicious - feels like Nonna whipped it up especially for you. However, the gluten free penne vodka was cooked to perfection and so flavorful. The grilled chicken parm was not only healthy but delicious. We came for dinner on a Saturday night and were seated immediately in the stylish dining room which was pretty with stone tiles on the walls and a wall gas fireplace. Service was attentive. The bread was ordinary although served with excellent olive oil with herbs and red pepper flakes in it. The calamari appetizer was very good. The waiter warned me that the dish I ordered, Chicken Frangelico, which had figs and cream in it, was very sweet and he would give me something else if I didn't like it. He was not kidding. It was so sweet I didn't like it at all. I was going to send it back until one of my dining partners tasted it and said he liked it so I gave him mine and he gave me his chicken Parmesan. I did not like that either because it was overly salty. My food came with choice of pasta, or potatoes with asparagus and cherry tomatoes. My other dining partner had the ravioli which I tasted. The tomato sauce was delicious, the raviolis were just ok but she really liked them. So it seems everyone had a different palate when it came to these choices. I might come back again just to try some other dishes but wasn't overly impressed with the food this time. Wheelchair accessible.
