The food is delicious, I'm not even done with my meal and felt prompted to write a review. like I said, the food is amazing, anything you get will taste delicious. even if you're a picky eater, there's still stuff for you. the service was incredible. yes they were super busy, but they informed us of how long the wait would be. we didn't mind. we overheard conversations of people becoming impatient, which doesn't make sense when they tell you the wait time. and even with a busy store, and impatiently rude customers, everyone was still extremely sweet, and very friendly. people that go here need to remember that your waiters are only doing their jobs, they can not make your food come out any faster. be patient and just wait. your food will come out and it will be delicious! p.s. FUCK the guy in the green shirt behind us. He said he's leaving a bad review because his pizza was taking too long even though the nice waitress informed them about the wait and complained about "incompetence". Food and service need improvement. Particularly the food, but better training for food runner, etc would help. I had been here once before maybe 4-5 years back and it was great. Today, not so much The redeeming thing is the pizza was very good and the staff was pleasant. Now for the issues. No refills on drinks, no request if it was needed (it was). Several times other tables food was brought to us. They were very confused. Nice enough. The food was not good unfortunately. The ravioli, the pasta was gluey, horrible. And, sadly the broccoli rabe was near raw, very hard. The eggplant rollatini swam sadly in a lake of bland sauce and a flood of mozzarella- why? Went here last evening as my husband always loved the scungilli. Well last night and the scungilli was 1/2 of what he had last year and the price went up to $24.50. Others had linguini with marinara sauce for $13.95 it was so small it could have fit on an appetizer plate. Also our linguini came out barely warm and way ahead of the scungilli. They might have good pizza but do not get the meals. I gave it a 2 star because our waitress was pleasant. read more

Yes, parking is at a minimum and if you show up on a Friday night in the summertime, yes, you will have to wait to be seated. This is a BYOB establishment, so bring your alcoholic beverages (beer) with you. Our table enjoyed the eggplant tower and garlic knots appetizers before our thin crust mushroom - pepperoni pie hit the table. It was a delight, the cheese was perfect as was the crust and toppings were delicious. This place is a pizza legend. Let me start out by saying, I absolutely LOVE Deninos. Huge fan. We would go often to the original location on Staten Island. Calamari, wings, a garbage pie & a white pie are my absolute favorites. The food is consistently good and has been over the years, so when we heard there was one in NJ, we knew we would have to come one day. That day finally came and i was totally underwhelmed. Service was great and what we've come to love at the SI location-fast, friendly and efficient. Ordered buffalo shrimp, it was good. No complaints. Ordered half pepp & half garbage. The crust tasted familiar, but everything else was just different. It didn't have the flavor profile we have loved over the years. The sausage was definitely different. Perhaps it's the water, or maybe they use a different distributor for their ingredients. Either way, it did not taste nearly as good as the SI location. I can either drive an hr to this spot, or an hr to the SI restaurant. Hands down-I'll take the original location for great pizza. To all who love this location, i get it. Theyre not used to GREAT pizza down there, so this is better than the rest. But I also encourage you to try the food from their Staten Island restaurant. It's worth the toll. read more

Very upset. Ordered here today for Mother's Day thinking we picked a great place to order from and impress our extended family. It was terrible. Chicken Francese tasted like old pasta water. Pizza's (3) were burnt and no taste, Meatball sub was so dry and never got the side of sauce we asked for. The vodka parm sub just tasted like marinara sauce. Salad had no dressing with it. The eggplant parm was absolutely terrible, more breading than eggplant. The eggplant was sliced less than 1/8 inch thick with a huge amount of breading on both sides. Ordered it with penne pasta which had no sauce. The pasta was bare without sauce. It's disgusting they charged 26.00 for this dish. We ordered a cheese pie which was not even cut. 1/3 third of the pie was not cut. Don't waste your time at this place. I'll never order anything ever again from this money hungry establishment. Since moving to South Jersey, it's been a journey looking for good pizza spots. Well, we might have found one in Denino's South and pretty close to home too. The pizza has a thin, firm, crispy crust and the plain cheese pie was delicious. I'm a big Dave Portnoy guy and follow his pizza reviews religiously. I'm pretty sure he'd like this pie and put it up in the 7.9 range. Have to say I was a bit disappointed our waitress didn't know who Portnoy was since he's been to their other two locations in Staten Island and Greenwich Village and gave them an 8.1 and a 9.1 respectively. Anyway, we also tried their Fried Calamari which was lightly battered, tender and delicious and their Riceballs also very good, no meat inside but stuffed with rice and cheese. Our Margherita pizza was very good, with a crisp crust and savory tomato sauce. We drove out of our way for Denino's, and in retrospect, that may have been foolish. The pizza was very good, but not necessarily memorable. Inland from the ocean, Denino's is not located in the most salubrious area. In fact, the neighborhood looked more like Mississippi than the Jersey Shore. Service also was more Mississippi than Jersey. Our server was stuck at the register as we waited and waited and waited to be escorted to a table. Finally, the young woman at the take out counter yelled out to get her attention. The one server would disappear for long periods of time, and to get the check, we had to ask the young woman at the take out window to look for our server. Then, she forgot our sodas on the check. When we pointed this out, she said "oh," took the check back to the register and added the cost of the two sodas. Sadly, she was clueless, and I was reminded of Mississippi again. As we left the manager was chewing on something as WE said goodbye and thank you - MississippI. Denino's interior space was not reflective of the okay exterior. It was dark, sad, and designed to hide dirt with much use of the uplifting color of brown. Yet, the pizza was good. If you're in MississippI, oh I mean Brick/Lakewood, grab a slice. read more

Heard so much about Denino's and finally made the trip. It was a VERY good, solid pie! The sauce is perfect, not too much cheese and the dough was fabulous. A fairly spacious modern looking pizza place, that serves up some delicious pies. Pizza is nice and thin sprinkled with some semolina which adds a nice crunch. The crust had a lovely chew and flavor that didn't weigh you down. We were a group of 8 and ordered 4 pies, which we finished all but about 4 slices. The white pie with mozzarella and ricotta topped with arugula, which was dressed with olive oil and some lemon juice, was my favorite. Just delicious. The cheese pie was wonderful. We also ordered a sausage, pepperoni & onion pie; this one got kind of soggy and I felt the sausage was only so so. There was a parking lot across the street which seems ok to use also, it had a empty building there. We never went inside deninos so I can't say what it is like in the restaurant . The pizza was ready when they said it would be. We got half plain, half pepperoni and sausage. Ate it at home. Loved the ratio of cheese/gravy/crust/toppings. The crust was delicious.
