This bowl was so good I built my own and absolutely devoured it. The ingredients and vegetables were all so fresh and then it was the perfect meal after playing some tennis. The employees were so helpful since I hadn't been here in a while and the restaurant was super clean. I was a huge fan of the flavor and taste and I will definitely be back soon to try more!

Delicious + Healthy This is my second time eating from Corelife Eatery, the first time being in Indiana. I was happy to find that they have one in Ann Arbor, so my coworkers and I ordered this for lunch. You get a yummy meal without the guilt because the ingredients are fresh and healthy. There are so many options, it was hard to choose what to get. You can customize from the menu or build your own. The are lots of options for bases, toppings, sauces/dressings to make it your own. We enjoyed this healthy lunch option and will be going back to try more of their menu! These bowls are filling!

This has become one of my top choices when in Ann Arbor. They have a huge variety of bowls......grains, purple rice or rice noodle. This is my sister's favorite Friday takeout meal. There's such a wide variety of combinations that even the pickiest eater should be able to find something satisfactory. All the ingredients used are of the freshest quality and everything can be customized. My dear sister has a one note palate so for her the Southwest Chicken Bowl-mixed salad greens with purple rice, corn, avacado, shredded cheese and a Lime Cilantro Vinaigrette is her consistent choice . I've been working my way down the menu. I've enjoyed the soups, especially the carrot ginger and I order a small soup and small size bowl when they have that. I am particularly fond of the ingredients within the Greek bowl and the Korean bowl. -I've tried the Tofu, and I like all their greens but I also generally choose the purple rice, as it's unique. I love the fact that you can order online as it gives you time to study all the standard ingredients and do your subtractions and additions of how you want to customize it . Service is very good and they do a huge takeout business addition to diners that eat there. They also make wraps and we have tried the beef wrap and it was good quality beef, and very tasty. It's talk to him a large shopping center near the Kroger grocery store so very easy to access . Don't hesitate to give it a try!

I used to think this was an exercise place because of the name "Core Life" not realizing it's a restaurant. Ordering is similar in style to Chipotle and Subway. Order in line, pay, take your food to go or dine in. The bowls start with a base of rice or greens. I ordered the Korean BBQ pork bowl. Sides were confusing because I didn't see them listed on the menu but they are listed on the glass when you walk by the counter (Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, sweet potatoes) The bowl had good flavor. Purple rice, pulled pork, veggies, kimchi, and a fried egg. Their take on the classic Korean dish bibimbop. The kimchi is much more mild than traditional kimchi. The downside was the wet and soggy ingredients. I think the pork should have drained more before throwing it into the bowl. If they had been patient and let the pork drip more before adding it I think my bowl would have been much more enjoyable. Out of three gals working the counter, the first gal was disinterested and not helpful. When I said this is my first time here she said, "Ok let me know when you're ready to order." Instead of introducing me to how everything works, suggestions, etc. the second gal that put the protein on the bowl wasn't rude but wasn't friendly either. The third gal that was working the register was very friendly and approachable. She offered lids and bags for any leftovers. I would come back for the healthy fresh ingredients.

Seemed like just a healthy place to try out but I was wrong! CoreLife eatery was amazing! They take salads and bowls to the next level with so much flavor and unlimited toppings. Personally, I ordered a "Pick two - Create your own" so I didn't experience their house bowls but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't disappoint. I was very impressed by the different dressings as well. I got the choice of picking two so I got creative. My favorite was the ranch! I poured it all over my bowl. Also, I was hesitant about the purple rice but it was so good and made me feel good. Then with the deal I order I got to pick a side and I decided to splurge on some extra carbs. I ordered the Mac and cheese and WOW. The Mac and cheese was literally perfect. It was so creamy and cheese I was very surprised by how delicious it was. After my meal I didn't feel overstuffed so that was the best part about it. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I told them it was my first time around here and they helped guide me while creating my bowl. One of the gentleman even gave me his own recommendation on protein options! Sadly, I was just traveling for work so I'm not sure when I'll be around this area again but I really wish there was a location in Orlando, FL!

Went here for lunch randomly because I got excited that there was a place that actually had decent sized food for less than 1000 calories for once that wasn't a salad! I ended up trying the chicken tinga taco bowl, it was like a healthier version of Chipotle for only 500 calories. It tasted much fresher and more filling than what I get a chipotle and I loved that I got fresh avocado slices instead of guac. And since bowls here are on average less than 1000 calories, I can get a side without feeling guilty. Looks like I found my favorite new lunch spot!

CoreLife has a variety of super fresh, very filling, and always tasty food. You can get bowls, wraps, and even tacos. Their sides are really good too! They have bowl/wrap options to choose from, but there is also an option to build your own. Their dressings are also all really good. They have fresh made juices that are great flavors and are not at all overly sweet- they're just right! The bowls are very filling and it's such a great option when you want something healthy and light, but doesn't leave you hungry. Very satisfying.

I made a few customizations to this bowl, and it's just what I wanted.

Corelife has been on my radar for many months, but thanks to an Official Yelp Event, I was able to meet the local franchise owner, general manager, and chef. That's when I realized how great this chain actually is and vowed to return. These days, there are lots of places where they say everything is made from scratch. But at one of the "better burger" joints, their from scratch aioli is simply chopped garlic mixed into an industrial vat of mayonnaise. At Corelife, they go so far as to even make their own buttermilk for the ranch dressing. For realz. The one thing I can't resist is a salad that eats like a cheeseburger. So when I returned on my own dime, that's exactly what I ordered. Except I decided to be clever. Instead of getting a full sized bowl, I went for a smaller one. Mostly, that's because I don't find salads to make for good leftovers. But I also hate waste, so I'll eat all the food that's served to me. Plus, I didn't feel like stuffing myself, even if it was on "healthier" food. While I love that Corelife offers a smaller option, I can't say I'm thrilled about the value proposition though. It feels like a lot less food, for close to the same price as a full sized bowl. That said, it was the perfect portion. I left with my hunger abated, and without feeling full. That feeling of fullness is a sign of overeating. I did order my salad, which came with steak, bacon, blue cheese, and walnuts, with a scoop of whole grains. I got a bit of rice and some quinoa to increase the fiber portion of the salad, and make the whole thing more filling. Based on my conversation with the owner on my first visit, I was under the impression one could add a scoop of grain for free. But that wasn't the case in practice. The cashier wasn't sure how to ring it up, so she charged me for an extra vegetable topping. The few cents wasn't worth fretting over at the register, but the menu and the process of ordering can be pretty overwhelming for the neophyte. There are so many options, so many customizations, and lots and lots of choices. If you aren't careful, your bowl could get very expensive very fast. A pro tip from the GM was to start with one of the pre-built bowls, and swap out items as desired. It's a good tip. And to make things even easier, the awesome employees on the line will gladly let you sample any of the ingredients, dressings, proteins, or toppings. On my salad, I swapped out sweeter cranberries for julienned beets, and that made me very very happy. I also went with a different dressing after giving it a taste, and finding it super delicious. All told, Corelife is a great place. I would go there more often if the discount on the small bowl was more in line with the reduction in size of the base bowl. But until then, I'll probably just stick to the standard sized portion and only visit when I'm hungry enough to take one down. Because this is delicious, clean food, made from scratch, by on site chefs, in a fast food setting. I love what they are doing, and fully support Corelife's mission. It totally lives up to the promise of that burrito place which somehow lost its way over the years. Hopefully Corelife will be able to stay true to its values as the chain grows. And grow it shall, because they are doing things right. I'm very impressed, and I don't impress easily.

100% a fan of this place! I was asked to try this place out and give an honest review and I can honestly say, I loved it. Corelife Eatery is located right by Plum Market on N. Maple on the west side of town. There is ample parking and it's a lovely space that's bright and modern. While this is a bit of a chain, this is the fifth location here in Michigan, which is nice! I think this might be the only location in SE Michigan (so far!). The concept of the restaurant is fresh food and the entire menu is gluten-free. Many of the options are vegan and vegetarian or can be made as such so it's very accommodating! It's a make-your-own style place where you can watch your food being made and prepared. They have tons of grain bowls, green bowls/salads, and some plates as well. They list all the nutritional information and have refreshing fruits lemonades and juices to choose from. I ordered two vegan/vegetarian items to try and review: * Tofu plate * Ancient Greens Salad with Tofu Both were delicious! The tofu plate was filled with marinated, sautéed firm tofu, roasted sweet potatoes and beets and a side salad. You have the options of having quinoa or other grains as your side, though. The ancient grains bowl had greens, tofu, other veggies and a really yummy dressing. I also tried their beet lemonade which was so refreshing and not too sweet! Overall, a fantastic experience and I would 100% try this again and recommend this to friends. It's not near my house, but it's a great healthy option here in Ann Arbor and very accommodating to different diets. Definitely give this place a try!

CoreLife Eatery is a major amenity for the residents in the west side. I'm suuuper appreciative to have a HEALTHY fast meal option, conveniently near the LA fitness, plum market... Forgot to go grocery shopping because you are a busy-ass-working-person? Don't have the energy to cook a dinner because f*3k it's been a crazy couple of years? CoreLife to the rescue with vegan, vegetarian, paleo, gluten-free, low-carb options super fast in your hands and on the way to the tum tum. I think the staff generally give off a good vibe, and I really like the manager, Marnia, who helped me navigate the wide range of options and introduced me to the sweet Korean BBQ sauce, which I HIGHLY recommend. The Caesar dressing is also really good, and they have house-made pickled vegetables. I Pictured here is the Steak, bacon, blue cheese walnut cranberry salad with added pickled broccoli, green onions, sub romaine for kale, Caesar dressing instead of the default.

So delicious! Inconspicuously hidden near other stores in the plaza this place is a gem! For 10.55 (that's with tax!) u can get a freshly made (and grilled) wrap and side?!?!? I decided (after much indecision) to get the chicken Caesar wrap (no pineapple salsa) but subbed another ingredient. They make it right in front of u, all the ingredients are made fresh - literally chicken and eggs being cooked on the flat top. I changed my mind 3 times from broccoli cheddar soup to white bean chicken chili to the gluten free Mac and cheese WHICH WAS AWESOME! The staff was friendly and answered all my questions I will definitely be back and I'm bringing my fam!

The space is rustic and simple, with fresh cut flowers on the tables. A majority of the walls were occupied by floor to ceiling racks of wine, as that is their award-winning product. Their brunch menu changes weekly and is extremely tight and cohesive. My party ordered the entire food menu sans olives (2/3rds of us don't like them), and two plates of the potato pelmeni. My thoughts below: Amaro Apertivo: mocktail based on the namesake dessert wine. This tasted like candy but not too sweet, and we enjoyed it a lot. Lovage soda: Google told me that lovage is an herb that tastes like citrus and celery. I am a huge fan of drinks with a twist, and I'd say that celery is a pretty big one! Crisp and not too sweet, the citrus flavor definitely balanced the Celery, and both flavors kept the soda fresh and crisp. This was great paired with the rest of the herbaceous menu and balanced out the richness of some later dishes, though it's not necessarily something I would enjoy by itself without appropriate accompaniment. Pickled egg, fried shallot, dill: I had only heard of pickled eggs in the context of strange British food on YouTube, so I was a little hesitant about this dish. The concept of an egg floating in vinegar brine is a bit off-putting, but once I powered through that mental roadblock, I found myself enjoying this bite. The egg is perfectly cooked with a slightly jammy yolk, and the shallots added a much needed crunch. Dill enhanced the pickled taste while cutting through the richness of the fried shallots and yolk. Sourdough focaccia, whipped butter: Never in my life have I ever made focaccia this tall. This focaccia was raised by a loving family and nurtured to develop a golden, non-greasy, crisp crust protecting its tender, pillowy innards. The classic sourdough tang is a novel addition to each bite, and cuts through the creamy, whipped butter to keep me wanting more. I could eat a whole pan of this alone, but we had many more plates to sample. Saucisson sec salami, pickled carrot: This is a simple, charming, carb-free mini charcuterie; place a slice of salami, some of the mozzarella (next dish on this list, below), and its oil atop a pickled carrot base, and you are in for a perfectly balanced treat. My favorite part of this dish is the fact that the salami was incredibly savory, and not too salty. The more you chew it, the more the flavors express themselves, so be sure to chew slowly and thoroughly! The crunch of the crisp, dill-pickled carrot and the soft chewiness of the mozzarella give each bite a lot of good contrast. Mozzarella, green garlic oil: Fresh, hand-stretched mozzarella is something that even I, a notorious cheese-hater, can't say no to. It is not sharp or funky at all, nor is it too salty. Most of the flavor comes from the green garlic and olive oil smothering each bite. Fresh and floral with a little bite, this was delicious with the salami and carrot above. Potato pelmeni, asparagus green adjika, sour cream: Given the portion size of the previous dishes (small, tapas vibes), we were not expecting the platter full of double carb heaven that met our eyes. And we ordered two!!! This is a gorgeous dish with plump, quarter-sized pelmeni nestled in a vibrant green asparagus and herb sauce with a dollop of sour cream on top. This was a classic comfort dish with a verdant twist! The pelmeni were stuffed full of creamy potato, and the dough was cooked perfectly al dente for a satisfying, pillowy bite. The sauce was homey but packed with zippy flavor and tender asparagus. The major feedback I have for this dish is that it was way too salty, to the point where the flavor was a tad too sharp because of it. Lettuces, radish, pumpkin seed, caraway vinaigrette: It was through this dish that I found out what caraway tastes like and through this dish that I figured out that I'm not a caraway fan. The lettuces were bitter and when combined with the slightly medicinal caraway taste, wasn't for me. The crunch of the radish and the nutty pumpkin seeds were great in this dish though! Fennel cornmeal biscotti, rhubarb compote, cream: This was a single biscotti with generous dollops of compote and cream. We were quite full when this dish was set in front of us, so I was frankly relieved for the small portion size. The fennel in the biscotti paired wonderfully with the tart rhubarb, and the rich cream rounded things out nicely without tipping into cloying territory. The savory cornmeal complimented the fennel and provided additional depth of flavor. A great small bite to end on! Overall, Spencer's strong fundamentals allow them to take risks with in-season local produce. Some things worked for me and some didn't, but I would love to come back to see what they can create next!

I want to preface this by saying, I still recommend Spencer. The food is incredible, the wine…read morepairing with the menu is divine however, we had a bit of a downfall with them. For background, my boyfriend and I are from Ohio and ate here around the same time last year and have been talking about our experience ever since. My boyfriend suggested we go and get Spencer again for lunch and saw that they do not take reservations online. That is important to this review, that they don't take lunch reservations online. We got to Spencer around 2:06 and it was busy which obviously is no issue at all. When we first talk to a server, she said it would be about a ten, fifteen minute wait. Then a man came over and said about 40 minutes, again no problem at all. The issue is that they don't "do callbacks", so they don't take your number. You are expected to literally wait around the restaurant in order to hold your place, however the man said to just come back within 40 minutes. We were willing to wait, again with it no issue at all as we were expecting to wait anyway. We walked around downtown for about 30 minutes and went back just to check in. The same man said it would take a little longer, 15 minutes but that we were first in line and would be sat first. Again this is no issue, you can't gage on how long people will stay and eat so we were willing to wait. We let him know that we will be waiting outside then so we don't miss our reservation. A couple were actually in the same boat as us waiting outside. Finally, after about another addition 30 minutes a couple left the restaurant so the couple outside with us walked in and we were behind them. The man saw us, apologized and said they were in front of us because they "made a reservation online." Then crossed off their name below us on a sheet of paper. I'm sorry? I checked and you cannot make a reservation until 5 PM. So what in the actual world was that? I wish I was kidding and I know how I sound here but it was so obvious that he let them in before us. At this point we were in a catch 22, leave after waiting for an hour and thirty minutes at this point just to have them come out and look for us or stay for another promised "fifteen minutes". We waited since we did drive 2 hours and 30 minutes specifically for this restaurant. Finally, after almost an hour and forty five minutes we were sat. Almost half the menu was sold out. I just HAVE to laugh at this point. Apologies were said and at this point like what were we supposed to do? We ordered everything that was left, bread, olives, salami with carrots and a celery salad which they had to make a substitute with the salad. Whatever I would've eaten scraps at this point. I had one glass of wine and after all was said is done, they gave us last call. I am still laughing at this point. We ate our small dishes and promptly asked for the check, which was 58 dollars including gratuity. I am not even going to mention the countless people we talked to outside asking us to hurry up and eat fast so they can get in. This review is for no one BUT the management at Spencer. As someone who works in the service industry and understands set backs, you NEED to figure out your reservation system. Either you have one or you don't. Talk to your staff when these things happens so they don't lie to costumers when they accidentally seat someone before them. I loved the food, loved the atmosphere, but my God please figure out the seating and waiting system. I wish you all the very best!
