A friend if my convinced me to check out the 1 week unlimited use to see if this would be a great place to practice my new yoga addiction. I initially started my yoga practice at a hot studio. So walking in a non heated room was different for me. The first class I took was a fusion power class, which was packed wall to wall. Literally mat edges touching. But this was a special class, as the instructor/studio manager was moving to NY to open up 2 other studios. With my busy schedule, I could only take 2 more classes, which was a CorePower 1 and a CoreRestore class, which sounded similar to a Yin ( the Restore class) class I've taken at other studios. I got used to a 75 minute class at the heated studio, and walking into this 60 minute class obviously didn't feel the same. I did get a good stretch from this class, but didn't feel I got the best. The instructor was great good though. Very thorough in walking us through each position and what it should expect doing. The facility is very clean. No issues with the studio and the locker rooms. The locker rooms have a sufficient amount of lockers, and the have free loaner locks at the check-in counter. The shower stalls are a bit tight, but they provide the necessary shampoo, conditioner, and body soap to get squeaky clean. They also provide lotion, mouthwash, cotton swab, and a few other amenities. There is CorePower merch up in the front. I didn't check it out, so can't really elaborate on that. Not a bad studio for only visiting this location three times. The CorePower 1 class was awesome. I don't remember the name.of the instructor, but she had a great class.oved everything about it. I have been a frequent participant in the hot power fusion classes at 10am since April. I go about once a week and really enjoy them. I always arrive at 9:59 or 10am exactly due to my work schedule. I arrived today at 9:59, put my stuff in the cubby and it was 10:00am and the guy at the front desk said class had already started and refused to let me in. This has never happened before. I have two issues with this. One, I have never heard of this policy until now and two I have seen people walk into class 5 minutes after it has started, I have seen people leave for the bathroom before class starts and then walk in. If this is really a policy it should be posted somewhere in the studio in the front, unless I missed it. My main issue is that I feel marginalized because I know have seen people walk late into class several times and I was not late. I guess they play favorites. This isn't going to deter me from continuing to attend the classes. I will still go and try and arrive around 9:55, but this 1 star review is for the marginalization I experienced....And if I do see someone walk in late again, I will point it out. read more

Everyone who I met here was so nice and I was given a thorough explanation on how everything worked. I fell in love with their hot yoga classes and decided to try Yoga Sculpt for the first time in my life and it kicked. my. ass. I've heard lots of good stuff about CorePower Yoga but was never interested in taking a class. I'm that type of student who can't stay for an entire yoga class because I get bored. I've taken plenty of yoga classes but have never understood the benefits of deep breathing and meditating. Oftentimes, I went to class and was frustrated because the classes were so big and the instructors were doing their own thing in the front. I started having really bad low back pain a month ago while training for my marathon. I figured I had nothing to lose in trying out CPY since the first week is free for new students. I went to my first CP 1 class and I frickn loved it! First time ever for me to stay through an entire yoga class! The instructors are so helpful and I love how they give hands on adjustments. It makes me more confident in my practice and helps me improve each time I come. They're very detailed in the different poses and provides modifications if you're not as experienced. I have a difficult time connecting my breath to my movement. It's been extremely helpful that the instructors tell you when to inhale and exhale. I'm much more aware of my breathing and my back pain is significantly better. The studio is squeaky clean and the entire place is very zen like. It's pretty expensive for a membership/class packages. But I've realized that since I started coming here, I've been much more in tune with my breathing when I run and I'm able to deescalate my stress when I'm at work. It's kind of my escape from the world because I feel soooo calm once I've finished a class. They offer a wide variety of classes. I love the CP 1, CP 2 and sculpt classes! I am a lazy person and working out is my biggest fear. I got in to yoga because I took a course for college credit then I fell in love with it. Well well well, yet another amazing CorePower studio! I live in the East Bay and frequent the many studios scattered throughout Berkeley and Oakland regularly (I've been hooked since the first class I took years ago). The classes and instructors in the Bay have always been solid, reliable, energizing, motivating, challenging and FUN - and I'm happy to report that the Brea studio is no different. As soon as I stepped foot inside I was greeted with several bubbly hellos and welcomes. Right off the bat I felt super comfortable! I explained to the instructors at the front desk that I was from out of town and that I had been meaning to check out the studio for quite sometime (basically every time I make it to the area to visit family and friends). They were so enthusiastic to have me there and personally showed me around ensuring I knew where the showers, restrooms, lockers, and studio rooms were. I just want to say that this place is NICE. It combines all my favorite aspects about my preferred studios up north into one - i.e spacious, lots of apparel and accessories for sale, good music, large and clean locker rooms, good sized class space, plus a comfy lounge area! The instructors I had were also amazing - I took one C2 and two Sculpt classes! Overall, I want to express not only my love for CorePower, but my newly found love for this studio. Like all CorePower Yoga studios, the classes and instruction here are exceptional. This is a smaller studio located on the second floor above Urban Plates. The parking is shared with this shopping center, so come a little early as it can get crowded during peak hours. They have lockers here, as well as a couple showers and cubbies for your personal belongings. They also offer free water bottle refills and a drinking fountain here, so refilling your bottle is quick and easy. What I like about this location is that once i n a while and especially during their teacher training season, they offer free classes, not just for the CorePower 1 class, but for Level 2 and Yoga Sculpt classes as well. It's a great way to give feedback to the instructors and get your sweat on. The location for this studio is less than ideal for me since it's shared with an always crowded shopping center, but it's one of the closest to me. So, there's yoga.... and then there's CorePower yoga. Emphasis on CORE, since my core (and arms... and legs... ok, everywhere) were sore for the next 3 days after my initial trial class. They center around the Vinyasa style, with both heated and non heated levels available. Mats and towels are available for rent. Complimentary locker door locks are available for use (first come first serve), just make sure to remember to put them back for the next person to use! The changing room and bathroom were very clean and the studio itself was a lot bigger than my previous yoga studio. I loved that they had multiple studios available here! Their method of teaching is a bit more about correcting your pose and talking you through it, rather than just being at the front and demonstrating it all. They do demonstrate some of the poses, but only enough to show you the correct form. This actually ended up being a good thing, since I learned that I had been doing a few poses wrong my entire life! If you don't like being touched/corrected, don't worry. Around the beginning of class, the instructor asks who would like to opt out of this and you can raise your hand. Did I mention the studio smells refreshing? There is an almost light orange citrus smell that wafts here and there which is really lovely. read more

I love Yoga Sculpt! I have been doing birkam yoga before I found out about sculpt. Tried their free 1 week offer and am addicted. I never would try myself to a work out unless someone accompanied me but I fell in love with yoga sculpt. You can get your cardio and stretching all together. I've taken Patty, Macey, Amber, and Katherine's classes and one word "Wow." They are all so beautiful and sweet people. Their classes are challenging but wonderful because you will always feel GREAT coming out of the classes. you will sleep so well at night. Plus I love how they have work out clothes and cute items for sale all the time. Makes me want to drive the distance so I can get some shopping + work out in. I broke my yoga cherry with Core Power & I'm glad I gave it a try! I've attended two sessions so far and enjoyed both so far. Instructors - The instructors are very mindful of everyone's personal comfort levels and physical abilities. For tougher poses, they'll demonstrate alternative ones that may be more comfortable for those that struggle. Ambiance - Calm and relaxing. Once a class begins, the door is shut and you can really focus on what you're doing. Both instructors I've had also had soothing voices that helped me get into my zone. Facility - Ah-mazing. Clean, trendy, and accommodating! From water stations to shampoo and hair-ties for the hairly-challenged, they thought of it all. Pricing - Here's where the dilemma hits. I'm on the free two week trial right now, but definitely considering sticking to this long-term. Out of the last 55 days I have attended 47 classes at CorePower Yoga. The majority of my classes were taken at the Brea location, so my review is primarily based on that experience. I'll be honest -- the monthly membership price is not the easiest thing to swallow, but I made sure I got my money's worth. I started off with the 7 days for free. I did all 7 days and tried all their classes from Hot Power Fusion, Yoga Sculpt, to CorePower Yoga2 (my favorite). IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING! The studio is high end and clean. It's immaculate. I love that they don't allow late comers in; it keeps the class in a flow. They offer so many different classes at all times during the day. I have a weird work schedule so the variety was great for me! CorePower is one of the few yoga studios that is a franchise. They have locations EVERYWHERE in Southern California. It allowed me to keep my yoga routine if I was vacationing in San Diego for the weekend, or just running an errand in Los Angeles for the day. Lastly, I was highly impressed with the quality of instructors at the Brea location and what they bring to the mat. Each instructor was supportive and authentic, bringing their own unique touch to the different classes. They even learned my name. I was totally irritated by the assistant manager there today! I signed up with my ClassPass membership for 430pm class and I was late "1 mins" due to traffic on the road. I told her just mark me as show up even I can't go into the class so I don't need to be charged no show fee. she didn't even do so as courtesy. none of any gym or studio I've been so far has this kind of bad attitude staff! One time their staff allows me to go to next session class since I was late couple minutes but this lady today was just giving terrible unfriendly attitude! I don't know how your studio train staff for customer service and this kind of attitude can be a branch assistant manager without doing something to help client? I have to say that even though the facility is super clean and nice, the quality of the teachers is not. I attended several classes from different instructors during the trial week and most are like coaches, memorizing what to say and not offering adjustments while they all mention they are hands on instructors. You can tell they all came from same teacher training and just giving oral directions to what to do even if you do it wrong. read more

I was getting lazy with yoga and just working out in general and I wanted to get back on track and into something a little bit more consistent. I'd always try to schedule a class after work, however, once that time came, I'd make an excuse to why a cocktail or cheeseburger was a better use of my time. The studios that I usually frequent don't have many early morning times and I wanted to do something to start the day. CorePower fit that equation nicely as they have both 6AM + 7AM opportunities which really helps me get it out of the way at the beginning so there are no excuses later on. The classes are all sculpt at 7AM which is a flow class with weights. Not gonna lie, it took a few days to adjust to not only waking up early, but being in a warm room doing some pretty intense stuff. I've learned to love it. The great thing is that all the instructors are different each morning so that the flow gets changed up and different parts of the body are focused on. You never know what you're going to get. Though all the instructors I've had have been great, Heather on Friday mornings has been my favorite. Who knew I'd look forward to waking up at 6AM to sweat my ass off. Her upbeat attitude, flows and great playlist are a great way to start the day! A huge plus of this location is that it's in the same shopping center as a Whole Foods, Urban Plates and SlapFish if you want some healthy (or not-so-healthy) grub post sweat sesh. There's an additional parking lot behind the studio as well so you don't have to fight as hard for parking. I liked my intro month so much that I've signed up for the Black Tag membership so that I can take my practice with me wherever I may be at the moment! Sure it's a corporate place, but each of the teachers bring their own sense of flare to make it unique! Tip: First week is free for newbies if you want to try it out! read more

I love the workouts, but you can't be 1 minute late to class. No is ever available to answer the phones, give you refunds for previously purchased classes. They can cancel last minute and it's no big deal, but the customer can't cancel last minute without a cancellation fee & be late 1 minute because they lock the doors. ‍ ... Was a member for 2 months and loved the classes. Only reason for the 3 star instead of 5 is sometimes the heated classes are so packed, there's barely any room to move. You are literally touching your neighbors when you stretch. Hope you would add more classes or move the heated classes to the more spacious room. read more

I bought a month membership and went in the mornings to the beginner classes. I love yoga!!! But this was so boring and repetitive. I would know exactly how long was left just by the pose. There's no yoga experience either, one instructor was awesome. The rest were really cold and snobby. No spiritually, no help. I saw so many women struggling and got no help. I ended up getting a personal trainer instead that incorporated yoga and it was a better workouts and more rewarding, plus half the price. read more

I started going to corepower in irvine during college and thoroughly enjoyed the hot yoga classes as well as the other c1/1.5/2 classes. I stopped going for a while and when I heard they were opening in brea, I was really excited! So I made my mom come with me and we both got the membership and we go about three times a week. It's made me more flexible and I feel a lot better overall. I would say that MOST of the instructors I've taken a class with were nice and super accommodating! However there are some instructors (I've not taken a class with them, but they were sitting at the front) were a little standoffish. Some that I've taken classes with talk a lot, some seem to be reading from a very specific script, and some do their own thing (which I prefer). My only real gripe with this particular location is that even with the doors closed, it is really loud out in the main lobby area! Especially days when there is teacher training (?), it's really crowded and loud out side and it's pretty distracting. Also, during some classes, it becomes ridiculously crowded and I'd wish that if a class was completely filled that some of the teachers would voluntarily step out so that others could have some space and not feel like they are going to hit the next person. oh! also, I saw it mentioned in other reviews, but I've had a teacher or two tell (semi-rebuke) the class to not talk while inside the studio room. I definitely understand, but what I do not get is that when classes have a bunch of teachers in it, they are laughing and chatting all throughout class and it's "okay". So all in all, clean space, mostly nice teachers, wish there were more classes/times, wish the teachers would be quieter inside and outside the studio rooms. read more

The motivation inspired by the instructors is unparalleled. The energy in this studio is like no other. I did 4/7 classes during my free week and honestly...IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY. I've never found a more enjoyable yoga studio-a variety of classes for all kinds of "yogis". UNFORTUNATELY, I live in La Verne. If you don't know where that is, it's about 22ish miles northeast of here. I can some how justify the price (charrrge it-can't put a price on mental health) but I can't justify the drive. I've tried a handful of yoga studios in my area and unfortunately NO WHERE (and I mean no where) even comes close to what I got here (form correction, instructor energy, essential oils smell, variety of heated classes that aren't freaking 90 minutes long). Hoping someday this chain will make it out to the SGV/IE because I'll be the first person to sign up. If you're close to here and you're on the fence about this-GET A MEMBERSHIP. Addicted from DAY 1. All of the instructors are so wonderful. They guide you through each class gracefully and inspire you ! I am a fan of Sculpt and after a year of practice I have become stronger and more agile. Occasionally I use the shower which are always well equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They have a blow dryer available ( only one)along with some basics like q- tips, mouthwash and tissue. Something to keep in mind is you are only allowed 30 mins to shower and get ready after class. Sometimes I feel a little rushed to get ready after a nice peaceful shavasana. Nevertheless, I recommend Core Power to all my friends and those that take me up on it become addicted too! read more

I am obsessed with CorePower Yoga! I live for yoga sculpt and core power 2. Every single instructor has such an uplifting energy about them. The classes are challenging, but in a good way. I needed to find a form of exercise that kept me engaged, sweaty, and playful. CorePower Yoga did that for me! I have to commute 25 minutes to get to the brea location (closest one to me), but it's worth it. I'm in love with CPY! I signed up for a 7 day free trial and everyday, I look forward to going the next day. This location is situated in a newly built plaza with Orange Theory Fitness, Slapfish and some other stores that are still under construction. The facilities are brand spanking new and so clean. My favorite classes thus far are C2, sculpt and hot power fusion. I definitely do have to say that not all classes are equal.. I have been about 4-5 times now and the teacher really makes a difference. Some classes I am sweating like crazy the entire class and other classes I just feel like I am not doing much.. As for the amenities, there are two studios one larger studio and one smaller studio (both heated) there are lockers, showers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, mouthwash etc. all you have to do is bring your body, mind, a yoga mat, water bottle, towel and you're all set! My first yoga experience ever was at this studio during their grand opening. I was 32 weeks pregnant then so I was intimidated for several reasons, but the instructors were friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I appreciated them offering modifications, adjustments, and the occasional, "How are you doing?," during class. I ended up going 3 to 5 times a week once I was on maternity leave. Fast-forward to 4 months postpartum and I'm still there at least twice a week to help lose the baby-weight and relieve stress. If you're a beginner, the C1 (Intro to Power Vinyasa) classes and guides are awesome. Poses are broken down, instructions and demonstrations are included, and alternatives are offered. I still find the sequence challenging in a good way. NOTE: even though C1 is unheated, the studio is often still warm from the previous class. You get used to it (especially if you start taking the really heated classes), but if I had it my way, I'd be a nonfat frozen yogi :) read more

Been going to this new studio religiously for just over a year now. The work outs are as zen (core power 1) or intense (hot power fusion) as you like. My favorite classes are core power 2 and hot power fusion. Great variety of classes and the diverse schedule means you'll find a class that fits your busy schedule. Teachers are the best. They encourage you but also bring mindful relaxation into each practice - each in their own way, which I like. What I love about core power yoga is you sweat and tremble through a tough workout but feel relaxed and peaceful throughout. Was lucky enough to have Chelsea (the studio manager) instructing our class tonight! It was my first sculpt class and I really enjoyed it :) Great upbeat music to keep your energy up even though I felt like I was dying half the time (I'm new to yoga/ any kind of exercise really) and Chelsea is great at motivating the entire class and giving clear instructions while creating a positive, fun atmosphere! This studio recently opened near my home, so I thought I'd give it a shot with the 1-week free trial. I did not expect to completely fall in love -- but it happened. Corepower Yoga has completely changed my relationship with yoga and taking class at this studio is now my daily treat/retreat. I love the heated rooms, the use of music, and the community of welcoming yogis :) The studio is lovely and offers all the amenities you'd hope and wish for: lockers, locks, water, spacious bathroom stalls, showers, etc. I've enjoyed every instructor and every class I've taken, but it's all a matter of preference and finding what classes jive best with you. Tip: Look out for groupons! I recently bought a 1 month unlimited pass for $75! Also, if you're a student, ask about the student discount! I love Corepower! I signed up for the free 2 weeks & I've been going almost every single day. I went to C2 the first week & during the second week I started going to sculpt, which has become my favorite class. I always leave sculpt feeling like I got a really good workout in & I always look forward to going again the next day. I have yet to try hot power fusion but my free trial ends this weekend so I'm not sure if I'll have time to go to one of those classes. I am really considering signing up for unlimited monthly membership, but it's a lot pricier than other yoga studios so I'll still have to think about it. I've found my happy place, and it's at CorePower. The instructors are very positive and encouraging. I appreciate that they try to make a personal connection with every student that walks in. The best part is that no two classes are the same -- the flows vary by instructor, by class and by session. I like that classes are offered almost every hour and that there is no advance signup required. Left this place feeling fully recharged, revitalized and realigned with myself and everything I stand for!! I went to the C2 class with the instructor Maria, who was really nice and her class was amazing. I love that she spoke about intention, and made us feel at ease with wherever we were in our practice. Some classes elsewhere can feel like a total catty, competition vibe, but not here! The music was great and not overbearing. It was a hot yoga class and boy did I sweat tremendously! But, it felt so good to sweat out all my stress and tension! It wasn't a really advance class, I think beginners can do this class for sure. I really loved my first class here and I definitely plan on coming back! They are having an awesome promotion of your first week free! So come on down and take advantage! The prices are a bit steep but definitely seems worth it. The place is really nice also. It's small but they have showers and lockers and the bathroom feels like a spa. I can't wait to meet the other instructors and try out the other classes. They have yoga sculpt, C1, and hot power fusion, not sure what they are but this class left a great impression. Great that core power yoga has so many locations, I was able to take a sculpt class at the Brea location. Nice clean club, very friendly staff, Victoria taught a challenging class. The only negative was that they don't have wipes to wipe down the weights. I just assumed all clubs were like Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach. I thoroughly enjoy all the classes I have taken at this location. The instructors are helpful and well trained. The yoga rooms are clean and well ventilated. The locker area and restrooms are spotless and I could easily go to an early class, and get ready for work. I have taken yoga and Pilates for many years and highly recommend Corepower yoga. read more
