Today was my first time at Prego's. I was in Burlington for work and the restaurant was recommended. It was delicious and a great lunch! I ordered the Veal Marsala with pasta and a minestrone soup. The flavors of everything were excellent! The restaurant was beautifully decorated and would make a great date spot. The servers were attentive and brought out more bread right away. Definitely recommend and can't wait to go back!

The food was great! It has a really nice and calm environment. Our server was AWESOME! He handled 15 people wonderfully by himself. I got the fried mozzarella. I thought it would be like mozzarella sticks, but it was actually in bread and fried like a fried sandwich. The bread was really good as well as the carbonara. It was really creamy! I do wish I had gotten the risotto though because it was even better! (A friend got it). The experience for my daughter's birthday was amazing!

I visited here for a working lunch. Ambiance was delightful! I was very surprised. From the welcome message on the marquee by the road, I can tell they recently moved to this location. It's absolutely beautiful! The service was great and very professional. The warm bread and fried polenta are complimentary. The chicken parmigiana was HUGE for a lunch plate. It was enough for two! I had enough left over for another meal. He chicken was blanketed with mozzarella, yet still had the proper crispness beneath. The tomato sauce was good as well. My coworker had the soup and the chicken pallard. She kept raving about the soup. It looked amazing!!! My other coworker had the penne alla vodka and she said it was delicious - also a lot of food. I would definitely return for a romantic dinner with my hubby.

Where do I start... Food AWESOME Ambiance AWESOME Service AWESOME There are no words to describe how amazing this place is, everyone treats you as if you are family. Our server Christian was amazing, being our 1st time here, he gave us recommendations and time to decide what we wanted. A week later, we came back and had Christmas Eve dinner with our girls and again, everything was perfect. I absolutely love this place

After walking in you forget you're in a space off one of the busiest thoroughfares in Burlington. The decor and ambiance convey a fine dining style with a hint of "this is going to be good". Pro tip: Don't read the menu. Wait for the specials. For this trip the specials sounded awesome. I just had something else in mind for lunch. We received warm crusty bread followed by a peppered olive oil dipping sauce. Now, this good southern gal loves butter. Not a pat to be found. Nor did I ask. After a couple bites of bread swirled in oily deliciousness, the waiter placed a small plate of tan cubbed oddities in front of us. Crispy outside. Creamery chewy inside with a hint of graininess. Yup! Fired polenta cubes. No pic. I forgot to take one and forgot about the butter. Entree comes with a soup or salad. I selected a Caesar. Crisp lettuce. Not over dressed. Pro tip: Ask for the fresh cracked pepper. The waiter brings cheese & pepper grinder out together. He/she readily offer the cheese and moves to the next person. There is no starting back at the beginning asking if you want pepper. Entrees? Very good. Food comes out quickly and hot. The menu seems super simple; however you can customize your pasta dish with any available protein or veg. Be creative! The lunch prices are reasonable so treat yourself a few times a year to tasty homemade pastas and/or sauces. I ordered the penne alla vodka with chicken as my entree. The pasta dish was crowned with tender juicy chunks of chicken. The rich sauce was the perfect consistency. Loose enough for me to stir in my chicken and not too thick as to leave a clumpy mess in the bowl. There is bacon in this dish and you can taste it. The smokiness of the bacon piece were a nice pop of flavor that cut through the sauce. Yes, a very generous portion. I visited this restaurant once many, many moons ago when they were located near what used to the the "Sears end" of the mall. It was a company lunch. Food was good. I never went back. I didn't have a bad experience but it wasn't that memorable either. The current location will definitely be part of my 2023 lunch rotation.

Prego's is a great local Italian restaurant that has been around for years in Burlington. They have been in their new location for a few years now and they really did a great job making the inside very classy and inviting. They have a "private" room that you can reserve - it's an extra $50 - but just note that unless you have around 25 people you can't reserve it on a weekend night. I have, however, reserved it for evenings during the week for business dinners (~around 10 to 12 people), and it's a great option. On this night, we made reservations on a Friday to celebrate my oldest daughter's birthday. There were 9 of us, and while we couldn't get the private room, they did honor our request to be seated in that room; we just had to share with some other tables :-). Our server, Christian, was just absolutely phenomenal. He was polite, attentive, and was wonderful with my 5 year old granddaughter. I could write an entire glowing review just about him! When I made reservations, I requested that bread and app orders of calamari and the empanadas be on the table as soon as we arrived. They weren't quite ready right away, but Christian made sure they were brought out very quickly. The empanadas were awesome - we had to order another plate of them - and the calamari was also excellent. The bread was hot and delicious, and was served with dipping oil. For entrees, I ordered the featured Pork Chop Marsala. It was a thick pork chop stuffed with mozzarella and prosciutto (I believe) and topped with a delicious marsala sauce. Wow it was good!! I really liked the fact that I was able to order the pork chop with veggies as my side instead of pasta. My two sons ordered the shrimp diavolo (one extra spicy and one normal heat) and they both destroyed their food! Other entrees included chicken broccoli alfredo (delicious), salad with crispy chicken (good reports on that), chicken marsala (yummy), and lasagna. The lasagna, oddly enough, is the reason for only 4 stars. My husband ordered that and was disappointed that it had too little meat or cheese, and lacked a true hearty lasagna flavor. It is also worth noting that the chef was quite accommodating to my granddaughter, who wanted spaghetti noodles with butter only. Christian also brought her lots of lemon wedges when he discovered that she loves the sour taste of them! We also brought our own birthday cake...Christian cut and served the cake for us. He really went above and beyond. The bottom line here is that we had a really fun evening with great food, and the only disappointment was the lasagna. Price point is fair for what you get. I would recommend this restaurant.

When you walk in, there's a bar area to your right, walled off with a 4' wall, and the general seating area to the left similarly partitioned. I went to meet a friend for a late lunch, but they never showed, so we couldn't sample more of the menu. The only waitstaffer greeted me and guided me to a seat with setups for two - nice heavyweight utensils in a wax paper envelope. I nursed a glass of water for thirty minutes while listening to a pop music playlist. (I was surprised at this choice, but I don't know that Neapolitan music would fit with this region!) I finally ordered the calamari appetizer - a plateful of fresh-fried rings and things served with a good portion of steaming hot chunky marinara sauce. The breading was light, and I couldn't get enough of the sauce!! It was amazing!! After another 45 minutes of considering the lunch specials, I decided to just get the tiramisu and call it a day. The dessert arrived nicely presented on a porcelain plate dusted with powered sugar. The lady fingers were soaked properly, and may have been house-made. I know the rest of it was. Amazing melding of flavors!! I'll even forgive them not dusting it with the traditional cocoa powder. I might stop back here just for dessert sometime! It's worth the trip. And, judging by the sauce, I'll bet the rest of the menu is just as fresh, well-seasoned, and tasty.

I was across the street at the Mini Dingo (a local bar) and the counter person said they'd deliver the food to me. I was quoted 10-15 minutes. After 25 minutes, I went to check on the food and the entrance way was crowded with no employee in sight. After another almost 10 minutes waiting, the counter person finally showed up with my food. I should have known better since I order here pretty regularly when I'm downtown, but I highly recommend not bothering with them delivering it and just going to pick it up. Now on to the food... the baked ziti came with a side salad and a ton of bread. The baked ziti was really good, but the star of the show was the bread. All in all, decent Italian food, but budget some extra time when ordering because it may take longer than quoted.

I used to visit them often but after paying $20 for one sub because I wanted pickles and black olives, I will not be going back again.
