I've been here once and I was rather impressed. The bison or buffalo bites (can't remember) were different from your normal appetizer but are flavorful. When people tell me they hate seafood I would highly suggest them try the Tuna Steaks here. That would change even a Vegans mind. I've only been to Corndance 2 times, and the first was back after they first opened. I thought while it was pretty pricey, that it was worth it. Recently, I returned with some co-workers from Sweden for a dinner on a Tuesday evening. The atmosphere was great and while the parking lot was so full that I didn't think we would get a seat, we were seated right away. The food was great, as well as the drink selection. Our Swedish guests were looking for a good steak, and they got it! However, to be honest, the largest filet they offer (I believe it was 8 or 9 oz. but don't quote me on that) was pretty good. The one reason why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 4 is something that caught me really off guard: One of our guests ordered the ribeye and the waiter asked if he'd like to try it dry aged, making it sound like it was a free option and never once mentioned the upcharge. I didn't see anything in the menu about this costing extra, but when we got the bill, a $49 steak was $89! While I understand that this type of steak might cost more, they need to do a better job of letting customers know about this. In looking back through some other Yelp! reviews, I now see that others have complained about the same thing. So, a dinner for 4 with 2 small appetizers and we all had steaks and 2 drinks each cost almost $400. for that kind of money, I would take them to Ruth's Chris or to the Copper Rock at the casino. but, with that being said, I thought the food was good and prepared well, I just thought it was a little overpriced. Great restaurant- one of the top 3 in the south bend area. Loved the elote corn and the bison bites. The filet was cooked perfectly. The garlic crust on it was a bit strong, would probably order without next time. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic. The birramisu was pretty awesome, loved the idea (tiramisu in a beer can). My wife and I went here for our anniversary and everything was incredible! My wife mentioned it was our anniversary when putting in the reservation and they set us up beautifully with a private table in the wine room. The server was top notch, very knowledgeable and attentive. We had the quail and John Adam's sword which were cooked perfectly with the potatoes tying everything together really well. The cocktails had a nice balance between sweet and savory. We were pretty full after the main course but had the banana neapolitan and ended up eating it in a minute flat. It was just that good! We don't typically get excited about dining out but we really had a great experience and the service was on point. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family! This was our first time visiting Corndance and the food was fabulous! I had the regular ribeye (the smaller aged ones posted on the board were sold out!). It was cooked to perfection and soooo tender and flavorful. It was served with some kind of lingonberry steak sauce served on the side and it put this fabulous steak flavor "over the moon"! I'm VERY fussy about my steaks and have sent more than just a few back in steak houses e have been to all around the country. My Corndance steak wasn't going anywhere except in my tummy! It was served with broccoli that had some kind of sauce with multiple cheeses in it and it was spectacular as well. Also served with it was some roasted potatoes that were (honestly) just ok, so I ended up not eating those because everything else was so good! Thank you Corndance! read more

Like other's have said: the food quality here does not justify the high prices; and the food quality is about the same as TGI Fridays (but pay triple the price). I'll assert that the quality is actually not as good. The food is simply not on point. Either lower the prices, or get serious and step up the quality. It was some time ago, but I had ordered a special: Barbacoa in salad with tortilla strips (something like that). All I tasted was salt. We had ordered the green bean fries as an appetizer-- once again too much salt; it was gross overall. It was too oily; it was like taking a swig from a vegetable oil bottle, then putting a raw green bean (with a large pinch of salt) in your mouth and chewing it. The other in my party said their food tasted okay (but didn't remark that it was great or anything). So, after everything is over, the bill shows up with $90 as the total. My stomach turned, at an almost $100 price tag. To be clear, I really wanted to like this place, but it's not nearly up to the level it should be. I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

This is our favorite dinner spot in South Bend. The service and food and atmosphere are consistent every time, you can never go wrong! We love sitting at the bar, corndance has great bartenders! The coconut shrimp and steak fondue appetizer are extremely tasty. Solid wedge salad. Steaks and fish entrees - Best in town! Also the summer Cornett dessert is one of a kind and my favorite dessert maybe ever!! They also have amazing sushi! It tastes so fresh. This has been one of several trips we've made to Cordance. It is one of the Best restaurants in Mishawaka, Indiana. Most of the food served is local sourced and very fresh. Tonight we had the Brazilian Bison Ribeye, cooked medium rare. It was very lean but still very tender. My wife had the Truffeled Chicken Carbonara, which she loved. One of the nice things they have is the wine auction board. Wine from half bottles are sold by the glass, so you get a chance to try a wine that you may have not had there before. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Even though it was very busy, our meal was served quickly. For desert we had the Dulce De Leche Creme Brulee, a delicious custard with caramelized flavor notes read more

We're from florida but our family farms in Michigan every summer. We have been to Corndance twice while visiting our family up there. Both times it has been IMMACULATE. We have a "top 5" list of our all time favorite restaurants, and Corndance has been #1 since our first visit. And that's saying a lot for only going twice! Love this place! Went a few weeks ago and ordered the diablo pasta with the shrimp and sausage. It was Delicious! And the to-go container is an adorable glass mason jar that you can take home. we also ordered just about every appetizer on the menu - none disappointed. Food had eclectically wonderful flavors, taste and was cooked to perfection. Born and raised on wonderful Indiana corn but the corn elote was outstanding. I came here on a busy Saturday night with my dad, sister, and my 5mo son. Even though they seemed very busy, the hostess was able to find us a table very quickly and bonus! It was in a back (quieter) room, super helpful for the babe. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. They had a John Adams sword special with pork chops, sausage, and bell peppers that looked fantastic! We ended up ordering a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir- fantastic! And an order of the bison bites to start. The bison bites were thinly sliced bison rolled around fresh, crisp green onions with a savory (maybe soy?) type sauce. A perfect yet light starter. I ended up ordered the smaller filet mignon au poive style and it was fantastic. The steak (ordered medium rare) was cooked perfectly. The potatoes and sautéed veggies were a nice accompaniment, but the potatoes were the standout winner there. We finished the night off with a shot of espresso. Delicious! Made reservations for Easter Sunday, not wanting a buffet or prix fixed menu, and they did not disappoint. Our waiter Herman was great, very knowledgeable and attentive without a bit of annoying. All of our food was absolutely delicious. We started with the spinach artichoke dip with warm pita bread and moved on to the stuffed pork chop, meatloaf and 8oz filet. Cooked to perfection. If your friends and you want to treat yourselves or if you have family visiting, I definitely recommend taking them here! It's a fancier take on American food that does meat right. My boyfriend got the 85-day aged steak and it was one of the best steaks he said he's ever had. I got the meatloaf and I personally find it to be one of the best ones I've ever had too! I think we could've been satisfied with just ordering a ton of appetizers too. We ordered so many because we couldn't choose. My favorites were the fondue and steak and the corn. They also treated us to dessert which turned out to be cake in a can. The service took a while when we went but not sure if it was because it was busy or the meat dishes were taking so long. Came into Corndance with very high expectations as it was recommended highly to us. Our waiter Tony was amazing. I work in the restaurant industry and have very high expectations and he exceeded all of them. It was about a 55 minute drive from where we live to the restaurant. Totally worth it! We came in with the intention to try their dry aged steak but it was Monday night and they had Tapas for 3 for $19 and we are suckers for tapas. A few items had an additional upcharge for the premiums but so worth it. This place has their own butcher shop on site and it's out of this world. The signature cocktails we tried were amazing and so was the German chocolate cake for dessert. This is our new favorite spot for dinner even tho it's a hour drive it's completely worth it!! read more
