Had our food tasting set up for over a month and the day of we show up time and the tasting isn't ready. Under normal circumstances, we'd be understanding of someone being behind schedule at an apt, however the chef came at in such a rude, distasteful, and unprofessional manner that SHE made the situation become unforgivable. The chef was abrupt, short, demanding and "expected" us to wait two hours for her to prepare the food that was promised. We had driven from San Francisco to San Jose to meet our apt on our day off and the manner in which she handled her being late and running behind was terrible. She made us feel as if WE were intruding on HER. At that point, without even an apology for so carelessly wasting our time, we wouldn't even consider reschedule with this venue. We used them for our wedding for centerpieces, flowers, and food. Food was delicious, 5 stars, Centerpieces were not as discussed but what can do on the day of. They were beautiful but not what was asked for, discussed or even presented when she came out to my home to show me. So I was definitely confused on that. My bridal bouquet and bridesmaids flowers and flowers for the groom and party were not as discussed or presented as well. Luckily, my awesome hubby took care of it and they brought the correct flowers back that morning. A little stressed but it all worked out. I was disappointed in the service at the reception. Very little in clean up and they forgot to cut the cake. You definitely get what you pay for and they were budget and wallet friendly. read more

Lulu and her group did a terrific job at our Fiesta for 200+ people. Cornejo's saved the day for us as our other caterer dropped the ball....Lulu jumped right in and matched the price of our previous caterer...and on very short notice. She was helpful, timely, responsive and offered linens in addition to food - a big help! And her prices were 30% less (for linens) than other places. The linens weren't of the highest quality (a few stains) but for our needs, the price was right! Their mexican food was plentiful and delicious. Amazing experience using Cornejo's and would highly, highly recommend them. Specifically Orlando whom we recently used for my daughter's quinceanera. We were very happy with everything from the great recommendations in advance of our event to their quick responses to our every question. The end result was absolutely beautiful from the decor, delicious food and a smooth flowing event. Honestly can't think of a single thing that went wrong, Orlando had everything covered. We used Cornejo's Event Planner for our wedding in April. We bought the cake from them, they seemed to have a contract with El Buen Gusto Bakery, and that is actually where we went to do the cake tasting (cake was delicious). We also got our flowers from them, centerpieces and bridal bouquets and boutonnieres. Finally, we had them do the decor at our reception. Everything came out exactly how we requested, Lulu was very helpful and attentive, she personally delivered the bouquets to me at the hotel I was staying at and then headed to deliver the boutonnieres to my husband at the hotel he was staying at, and then headed to the reception venue. My bouquet was a little pricey, but then again it was all peonies and it couldn't have been more perfect, so I didn't mind the price on it. The one thing that we wish we would have know was that the uplights were actually bigger and brighter than the ones we had seen, so our reception was pretty lit up when the dancing started, it wasn't towards the end when my husband went around turning some off so that the room could be dimmer. I do not recommend this business for catering. We had booked this Cornejos for an event of 100 guest. We went into the office to select the menu and sign the contract. We selected two meat dishes, arroz blanco, beans, mixed green salad with vinegrette, and a pasta salad. On the day of event they were not only 1 hour and 1/2 late, but they brought ALL the wrong dishes. They brought two incorrect meat dishes, arroz rojo, green salad with ranch dressing and the incorrect pasta salad. The entire menu was wrong. The owner did not take responsibility for nothing. rather than trying to correct this unacceptable mistake, on top of being late, she argued with us. An appology would of be acceptable. but instead the owner sat in a meeting with us trying to justify the mistake, and pointing the blame on some else. I can go on and on, instead i'll wait and leave this in the hands of Carma. Or maybe Carma has already hit Cornejo"s Catering !!!! read more

Will keep it short and sweet the decor on point was beautiful even though the were late setting up and getting it together!! The food I went all out had pasta veggies rice salad bread two proteins !! Also had shrimp ceviche and asked for fish!! The chicken squeezers dry dry!! Dessert table with chocolate fountain!! First bread they said they baked BS was cold and hard!! All the food was cold meat dry as hell!! The fountain had some cheap syrup type chocolate!! Ruined my moose that I paid Extra for!! Bottom line people got sick from the food !!food poisoning they were calling me the next day like what the hell!! Here is the kicker I only had 65 guest to feed!! Everything at the private tasting I paid for was not the quality I got the day of!! Ruined my mood but hey I made the best of it!! I did speak to Aracliy I believe her name was she was gonna do a little dinner party for me on them of course nothing like the menu I had at my wedding but I decided why bother !! So they can get more of my friends and family sick!! Everyone at my wedding told people they know not to ever use Cornejo's catering!! So scrolling threw yelp seeing they have four stars is a JOKE sori it just is !! Get the menu rite and give the customer what they paid for !! Our wedding was 08/27/16 and it was by far the BEST day of our lives. I was of course a nervous wreck. All the planning, the dress, the shoes, the food, the decorations, photographer, DJ, bridal party. I was going Crazyyyy. My husband found out about Cornejo's and that was the best thing that could happen to us at that time. Orlando is a #boss when it came to all of our wedding components. They covered everything you could possibly think of for ANY event. From the food to the drinks to the servers to the cake to the decorations to the centerpieces to the bartender, it was a ONE STOP SHOP. Orlando was hired on as my wedding planner and that was the moment I could finally breathe and relax. He took care of every little detail even of things that didn't even occur to me. He added soooooo many little details and different touches that made such a huge impact on the whole event. Imagen Latina was also a part of my wedding such a huge part actually. They work hand in hand with Cornejo's to take care of all photography needs. They were beyond what I expected and trust me I was not the easiest bride to work with. The photographer, Daniel was beyond fantastic. He was very patient, on time, broke things down to me, and most of all captured amazing moments that we will treasure for ever. We recommend Cornejo's and Imagen Latina for ALL your upcoming events and we mean ALL because they're truly the best and trust me I'm not easy to please. Even though she was late to go see the premier of Transformers 4 with her son at no time did she rush us. Do not use them if you want your event to go right. They ruin my wedding because of them I was late to my reception and didn't even get to take pictures with brides maids and grooms men. They ruined my wedding. They ruined my pictures and where extremely rude to my guests , served the food cold, and didn't even apologize for the trouble they caused. read more

Cornejo's did an awesome job with my Wedding decor and Cake. I got exactly what I asked for. I admit I was a little hesitant at first, I did schedule several meetings with them to confirm exactly what I wanted. The staff was very accommodating and answered all my questions each and everytime. My wedding was in Morgan Hill and Lulu herself followed my husband (then fiance) and I all the way to our event location to assure she and I were on the same page. The day of my wedding the ceremony decor, reception decor and the cake looked absolutely phenomenal. I was very happy with everything they did for us, our guest were amazed at how the decorations and the cake turned out. I would definitely recommend this place to help with your upcoming event. We just recently had our wedding on 9/27/14 (we had about 135-140 people attend) and everything that was provided by Cornejo's was great! My husband and I found Cornejo's through a referral. They offer really good wedding packages, they are flexible and try to meet your needs/expectations and it's very affordable which is a PLUS! We were beyond happy with their price and service. They traveled all the way to Oakdale, CA for our wedding. Everything from the food (which was amazing, all of our guests commented on how good the food was), the decor, the flowers, their team's service. The servers that we had were on top of everything. They set up, served the food, cleaned up in an organized manner. They used the kitchen at the house we had our wedding at and we were surprised and amazed at how CLEAN they left it, as if nothing had happened there. We are genuinely very happy with their service provided. We would totally hire them again for another event and truely recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer that provides almost everything you need for any event. I used Cornejo's for my wedding on 7/05/13 in SSF, I know a little late in writing my review..... Griselda was the planner I worked with and she was EXCELLENT! I cannot stress enough how professional, responsive, and easy she was to work with. Basically whatever I wanted she was on it and made it happen. Cornejo's handled my entire wedding, from church decor and practice to reception decor, linens, centerpieces, cake, master of ceremony etc the entire thing. The food was delicious, we opted for a buffet and had about 290 people in attendance, and it worked just fine. We had a couple set backs in the itinerary due to the chuch starting late, and Griselda ensured we stayed on task and stuck to the timeline, and things moved along smoothly at the reception. I was so happy walking into the reception hall, it was absolutely beautiful! Everything we planned and then some. I did however meet with Griselda at least 5 times, and we were always emailing and confirming details etc. I even had her set up a mock table appointment because I wanted to see exactly what the linens and centerpiece would look like, which she did no questions asked. It is up to you to do this, they have tons of events, literally, so you do need to take the initiative to follow up as much as possible, which in my opinion you should be doing anyways for such a special event. I received many compliments on my wedding, and even referred some family members to Cornejo's for their events. I used this vendor for all the flowers I needed for my wedding. I read the reviews, good and bad, after I met with them. I sympathize with those who weren't happy with this vendor's service, because you only get one wedding. However, you must realize that this vendor holds many events, and if you do not specify exactly what you want, they will do what they think is best. Since they were the most affordable ones I had met with, I decided to pay for a demonstration, which I absolutely loved. What I made sure to do is communicate constantly with Lulu, and reiterate what I wanted, and any changes I needed made. I am a very picky person, and she managed to work with me. I kept changing up the church décor, up to the day before my wedding, and she followed through. I had her reduce my already absolutely GORGEOUS bouquet on the spot, because it was much bigger than I wanted it to be, but again, it was just gorgeous. The flowers for my reception, and the candelabras were an absolute success! Exactly the look I wanted, very beautiful, fresh, and romantic, I got a lot of compliments. Again, I am a very picky person, somewhat difficult to work with, but I got exactly what I wanted, because I made sure I kept constant and open communication. This is something I did with every vendor I worked with, and I had several. I recommend this place as I am very pleased with the flowers I got from Lulu. read more
