We've been going to Corner 17 for years now and our whole family enjoys coming here together. We were able to sit at one of the large tables, as we had 11 people. I highly recommend using the online waitlist before showing up. We've learned our lesson and have had to wait with 5 kids, which can be painful. This time we put our name on the list about 45 minutes ahead of time and it worked perfectly for us. Our table was waiting for us when we arrived! Our service started out a bit slow but once we ordered our food everything started coming pretty quickly. We typically get the same items and they never disappoint. First off, the hand made dumplings are by far the best we've ever gotten out. They make them fresh at the restaurant, which makes a huge difference. We get both pork steamed and pan fried. Both are so good. Our kids loved the hand pulled and shaved noodles. We also always get the beef stew noodles. Everyone devoured the sweet and sour flounder. We tried the black pepper chicken this time too and it was good. Another favorite are the green beans! We were celebrating a birthday so the restaurant sent over a mango shaved ice and everybody loved it! Only downside is it is usually a bit chilly inside, so we bring jackets incase. The bathrooms are not very clean either. We will continue to come back, especially for family celebrations. read more

Ok yum! How have I never been here before?! I don't think there is anything better to get on a cold day than some soup + noodles. We ordered take out (so you could imagine how excited I am to dine in) and got a bit of everything. General Tso had just the right amount of heat. Veggie Hand-shaved Stir Fried Noodle + tofu is going to be my next go to, WOW. So good. If you like tofu I recommend adding! Each soup dish had great flavor and was extremely customizable. We of course got a side of of both noodles plain to be a fair judge- shaved and pulled. One of us voted pulled and one votes shaved, so you can't really go wrong with the noodles. Corner 17 is the creme de la creme of Chinese Food in the St. Louis Area. Get in your car and drive to Corner 17 now. Everything from dumplings, hand pulled noodles, bao, and even bubble teas is off the chart amazing. My favorites are the hand pulled noodles, bao, pan fried dumplings, spinach dyed dumplings, wontons in chili oil, and fried chicken shumai. Our family orders take out from here often. So surprised by how good this place was! They have so many different options from hand pulled noodles, hand made dumplings, vegetarian options such as mapo tofu, to your staples like orange chicken. Plus they have all different kinds of boba: fruit tea, regular milk tea and even offer different options for lactose intolerant folks! Today my boyfriend and I decided to try Corner 17 again as we are both foodies looking for some date spots. We noticed that people recommend the wontons in chili oil. It was indeed bussin! I love that everything came out really hot and fresh. Crab Rangoons were great as you can't go wrong with them. The stir fry was good as well. The noodles had a nice bite to them and were fun to eat. It was a good mix of sweet and savory. I wish the beef was more seasoned but I will be craving this dish for sure. The general tso's chicken heavily reminded me of the orange chicken from Panda Express. Honestly I'm not complaining but it could have been less sweet. I think that the texture and flavors were good enough for a 5/5. It scratched the spot for real. The servers looked exhausted honestly and were still nice. It was super busy and we still got great service just didn't knock me out of the park. I'd give it 4/5 The vibe is super fun, entertaining, friendly. Stupid delicious!!!! I wasn't expecting it to be so large inside, but lots of tables. There is a section you can order from a screen for to go options, or you can have a seat. Corner 17 is a very efficient restaurant with dine in and take out. The hand made noodles are delicious and can be eaten by themselves without much sauce. The bubble tea area has an extensive list of teas, slushies and milt teas. Plus you can have non dairy milk. The cool thing about the dining area you can watch the cooks make the noodles. It's super busy here too but the waiters still check in often. The food is delicious! The sweet and sour cucumbers are fresh crunchy and has good seasoning. This is the first time my husband and I have eaten at Corner 17. I have a gluten allergy and even though they have a very expansive menu, there were only 3 dishes that were gluten free. I chose the Singapore Rice Noodle and it was delicious! My husband got the Handmade Sticky Rice Chicken Shumai and Pineapple Chicken. He said they were both really good. The portions are huge so we both had leftovers to take home. I also got a Mango Pomelo drink. I have never had anything like it and it was so good! We were seated near the window where the food is prepared and it was neat to see the process. All of the staff were very nice and helpful when we were trying to decide what to eat. They also have large round tables for big families with a lazy susan in the middle that can be spun around, I assume so you can share food. I look forward to eating here again. read more

We were staying St. Louis for the 2nd time and we loved this restaurant so much we went back on the first night there (and went back again another night). The servers were notified of our nut allergies and they made sure our order didn't have any nuts in it. We always ask to be sat at a place where our kids could watch the noodle making men. My lil one interacts with them by giving them a thumbs up! They are super nice and gives thumbs up back~ Between our two recent visits we tried the following : House fried rice, mapa tofu, hand made soup noodle, asisan sweet and sour pork, Spicy Boiled Fish, Mala soup bowl and many orders of pan fried original dumplings. Asian sweet and sour pork (BEST!!!): I think this is the reason we keep going back to this place! Kids just love it! It has good enough tang in the sauce to overcome the sweetness. Its a REAL good balance of sweet and sour as it is called. Many get this wrong and mostly its just sweet, but they have a good tang in there and its a good balance. Pan fried original dumplings: We had 3 orders of it each time we went. it was crispy on the bottom and juicy and soft. Good flavor and not too salty. House fried rice : It was light and fluffy kind of rice. It was flavorful and had other toppings in it where it wasn't just rice. Three cut chicken: Very good, but it definitely had a very strong Chinese herb taste in the sauce. It was too strong for our kids liking, but husband and I liked it. It was sweet and salty and just really good. Spicy boiled fish: Every time I saw other asian people eating this dish and wanted to try it and it was very good. the fish is very soft and the sauce is not too spicy and has a good salty flavor. It was oily like mapo tofu, but it was actually good because the fish was so light. We packed some home and we had it again for late night snack. It was really good with just plain white rice. Hand made soup noodle: noodle was chewy and well cooked. the soup was warm with a good amount of meat and bok choy it in. Kids liked the noodles too, and it was very filling. Mapo tofu: wasn't too spicy and had a good amount of pork it in, but it was a little too oily for my liking. Mala soup bowl : I've never tried mala so i wanted to try it. It has a distinct numbing effect and its more numbing feel than spicy. It was weird, but it wasn't bad. Just something I've never had before. read more

This is a fun and delicious place to go, although it can be crowded. The best place to sit (especially if you're on an uncomfortable date like I was, lol) is a small table against the window into the kitchen where you can watch them pull the handmade noodles or put filling into the wontons and dumplings. The menu is HUGE and everything I've had there so far, including tastes of my friends' orders, has been not just good but delicious! They also have big servings, so go hungry or take some home for later. There is a free public parking lot around the corner so even though this is in the popular Delmar Loop area you can usually find parking. read more

This place is always PACKED with people because it's fantastic! They have a drink take out area in the front and a dining room in the back where you can watch them make hand pulled noodles! The only requirement if you go to Corner 17 is you HAVE to get a dish with noodles. They are so fresh and make whatever dish they are a part of that much better. We opted for shaved noodles but the pulled noodles also looked delicious. To start off the meal we got an order of crab Rangoon and an order of chicken shiitake mushroom dumplings. These were both delicious. We also tried an order of orange chicken. You have the option of getting it spicy or not spicy - we chose spicy and it definitely had a kick. There is a large dining room that will accommodate quite a few folks, but still you may find yourself with a short wait. Our server was very friendly and helpful considering how busy she was taking care of other tables. We ordered the Dim Sum buns and Crab Rangoon as appetizers which were excellent and very tasty. So happy to have found this place in STL. There doesn't seem to be a lot of south Asian restaurants in the area. The food was comforting especially during the dark stormy rainy days. I've tried their cold chili flat noodles, salt and crispy chicken, and their sichuan spicy beef stew. My favorite was the crispy chicken, the sichuan spicy beef stew was also pretty good. I wish I could give this place a 4.5 star rating. The food, in general, was pretty good; the boba was also good. There were unique finds on the menu which was super cool, like vegetable dyed bao and dumplings. I ordered spinach dyed veggie bao, carrot dyed dumplings, tomato egg noodles and lychee boba and shared all these with my partner; it was so much food! Luckily leftovers are the best. I was able to sample some of our friends' food too, and everything was tasty. I remember really liking the cucumber appetizer. While it was super nice to actually find veggie bao at a restaurant (it's impossible I swear), it ended up being pretty bland; the dumplings were better but still could use more flavor or a different dipping sauce. The tomato egg dish was great and I'd recommend to a friend. In fact, I'd recommend the whole menu to a friend.
