We enjoyed the pork skewers, deliciously flavored, moist and yet grilled with a nice crustiness. I had ordered grilled pork with fried rice and as I was eating the fried rice I had noticed there was mold on the vegetables in the fried rice. I lost my appetite after picking out two pieces with mold on them and did not eat the rest of my meal. What a neat place. It is a bar and a restaurant with good food and beer. Many things on tap but I came for lunch so just had the food and a sample of a dark beer. Food is fair I guess...several "trendy" attempts fail in my opinion. The fully metal spoon in the pho is weird. Tiny glasses that have to be refilled often are a nuisance. I never get the egg add-on cause I could make one at home for less than a $1 but if you're dining in and you want one, go for it. Meat is thinly sliced, veggies weren't pickled which is traditionally pickled carrots and daikon and cucumbers. Meat doesn't have usual charring and yet you taste it. We called in to order take out here. We ordered the family special of four entrees for $38. We ordered the shaking beef (bo luc lac), shaking tofu, stir fried noodles with beef, and combination fried rice. Both shaking dishes came with your choice of fried rice or steamed. So glad we choose fried. Their fried rice dishes were delicious!! The best we've had in a long, long while. The other dishes were really good, too, but the crispyness of the tofu couldn't last by the time we arrived home (our fault for living so far away). I would order again but maybe eat it in the car so that we don't miss out on the yummy, crispy tofu. The portions are very big and we had plenty left over to eat for dinner.
