Very unpleasant experience and won't recommend to anyone. This cafe is a total mess, they cannot handle lunch hour crowd. I thought this a not so bad place based on previous visits. Around noon today two of is visited this place. Today the cashier took my order incorrectly and he assigned my reciept number to the wrong buzz. I waited n waited hoping the buzz might brrrrrr, but it never did. The tables were not cleaned up in time that we had to be standing next to a wasted n messy table for about 10 minutes and then I had to wait for my food yet another 15 minutes. I went to the serving desk n asked whereabouts of my order and i found my orders have been sitting there over 10 minutes. The n they found that they input the buzzer to thebwrong number that i never got notified. The spaghetti was completely swollen, the pasta was cold, and they served me meatball linguini, instead of shrimp scampi. We hesitated to leave and request refund but we were so hungry that started just swallowing. The hall manager approached and asked how are things. I didn't want to talk to her, but my wife explained and the manager managed to bring us the correct dish after ten additional minutes or so. I've met a friend for lunch a few times and have always enjoyed the salads. Decided to come here for a late breakfast. Latte is serviceable but even though it's supposedly whole milk, it seems fairly watery. Espresso shot seems decent enough though. Small side of steel cut oatmeal was also decent. It's an addition to power flat so it doesn't come with the regular currants, dried cranberries, walnuts or almonds but it was good and I'd try the regular version sometime. Power flat was on regular whole grain because they were out of whole wheat flats but the bread turned out to be the best part of the sandwich. Spinach was raw versus wilted or sautéed with the egg but I was the one that had assumed the spinach would be cooked. There were three spears of avocado and tasty cheddar cheese. The worst part was that the egg was burnt but I still ate it because it was edible and I have a movie to catch. Alex, who brought the food and latte, was very nice and I probably could have requested a redo for a no burnt egg. High chairs look clean and are near the beverages. This place has pretty good sandwiches and pastries that are priced reasonably. I like getting the combo and usually order the Chicken Pomodori Panini on Sourdough with a Mixed Green salad. The Mixed Green salad is actually really good and super refreshing. I usually top everything off with a sweet treat. Their Chocolate Bundt Cake, M&M cookies and Cinnamon Creme Cake are tasty. Just beware of their small parking lot. Can be hard to get in and out of especially during peak eating times. read more

10/21/10 Adorable little place. It is a chain, but I didn't even know that until later because it feels like it could be one of a kind. French black and white decor makes the place unique and comfortable. A good handful of vegetarian options (that are also yummy!) will keep me coming back. read more

First of all when we walked in, it was very tempting to grab one of their baked goodies, but this time I resisted. We had chopped salad and pasta shells with chicken and cream sauce, both were delicious. In Burbank there are many options. I've driven by this many times and never really been moved to go in. Today I thought it would be a good opportunity to do so. From the moment I walked in I was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted at the door by a very nice female employee, cashier was helpful, and the food looked good. Ordered coffee and a Chicken Apple Sausage breakfast power flat that had scrambled eggs with cheddar & Parmesan cheeses in a grilled multigrain flatbread. Average in taste but the salsa that it came with was really tasty. Perfect in proportion size. Coffee was amazingly good since I'm not a big fan of the popular one. This was a good cup of coffee and menu items were average. For dessert I had the cinnamon roll and that was good. Plenty of parking and you can't miss it at the corner of San Fernando and First. Now I want to try more menu items and take some home. Definitely coming back but with an extra stomach. As for customer service they get a 10! Love this location. They're nice it means everything when when you need help figuring out how many of what to get for the picky eaters and persnickety gmo gluten-free vegan staff and executives. I ordered the night before for delivery and they were honest enough to tell me they were 25 orders scheduled already and could not guarantee my 8am delivery. That meant everything to the logistics of how to get the pastries on time. I picked them up and guess what? All was ready when arrived. Moral of the story, plan ahead for the unexpected. It's too bad I love the food here because this it literally the third time I had to wait 20 min or longer just to place an order. After waiting 20 minutes the manager had to close the register and had the only cashier use another register. Well it turned out they were all locked so the poor guy couldn't open the register to take my order. Finally the assistant manager shows up and she can't open it either. So she leaves to the back. This whole time the managers never looked up not even once to apologize. The only one who did apologize was the young cashier who had no control over the situation! The time before this was a pleasant experience but prior to that I had called in an order and when I showed up it took another 30 minutes to get my take out order. Again no apologies!!!! Oh wow. I'm not normally a lemon or crust girl, but the Lemon Bar from the Corner Bakery completely swept me away. Sweet and creamy lemon curd melds right into a buttery soft crust that's totally iresistable. I intended on having only a few bites, but ended up eating the whole bar. I've passed by this place several times uninterested. Yet, one night I decided to patronized it since I was seeking something healthy relative to everything else in the Burbank-town square. While it offered healthy options and the food was enjoyable for the price range, it was not as healthy as I envisioned. Customer service is what you would expect at a mainstream dining establishment. Associates are welcoming and I have witness them go beyond the scope of their duties to accommodate customer's concerns. Overall, this place is good for pretty much casual dinning at any time of the day. I gave it a three because I am still ambivalent towards going back. But by far this location has the cleanest bathrooms, best-tasting food, friendliest staff and all-around best quality for price of any of the Corner Bakeries in the Los Angeles/Orange County region (trust me, I've been to all of them). Here's my general info for the Corner Bakery: Harvest salad is AWESOME! Chicken pomodori is my favorite lunch... Great chili, sweet crisp salad, berry almond Swiss oatmeal!!! Yay! I love corner bakery! The only complaint is the paninis are always cold in the middle (chicken pomodori) - even if I say extra hot... Couldn't you grill the chicken first so it's hot in the center? Client corrected you twice. When the mother went to pick up the food for her son. LeBron again put the order name wrong. Client informed Lebron to not disrespect the name and he disrespected her again on her way out. Client dropped off her son's lunch at school and she immediately talked to the asst. Manager Jessica and discussed the issue. Corner Bakery is a customer based establishment. Be respectful of your clients and your neighbors that frequently support you. After spending several hours in Ikea 2 days in a week (that's too much Ikea for me), I didn't want to eat bland Ikea food again. I also didn't want to pay an arm and a leg to eat at Chevy's or any of the other overpriced eateries in the area, nor did I want greasy yukiness from In & Out - sometimes you're in the mood for that, sometimes you're not. Then I spied the striped awning of the Corner Bakery. I've eaten breakfast at my local Corner Bakery and not been impressed. There are Paneras in my area that do soup and pretty well, too, so I tend to go there when I want soup and. But I thought, hey, let's give Corner Bakery a try, and hoped the lunch would be better than the breakfast (breakfast was bland and unseasoned when I ate there). I was pleasantly suprprised. I'm a huge tomato soup fan, but for me that means I 'm super picky about tomato soup. I loved, LOVED the tomato basil soup. I had the soup and half a panini, selecting the chicken pomodori, and loved the chicken pomodori panini. The flavors were great. My lunch partner had the same sandwhich and a greens salad and also loved it. We also both felt the portions were generous; not overly so, not huge, but enough to be satisfying. I liked the black currant iced tea as well. Didn't try the pastries, but I'll save that for next time. I am already planning to go to one of my more local Corner Bakeries this week, and I'll probably order the same thing! Also, the service at the Burbank CB was great. Friendly, patient, and attentive. Is this gourmet food? No. But it's good food, and not, I feel, over-priced. For the people who feel they're paying too much for soup and a sandwhich, well, they must be used to Souplantation or something. The only criticism I'd have is, looking at the nutritional information on Corner Bakery's website, the sodium content for most of their items, including (and especially) the tomato basil soup, is outrageous. The food was pretty good, but I could not believe how long I had to wait for a few sandwiches. The place was completely overwhelmed by Uber orders and seemed to prioritize them over the customers that were standing right in front of them. It was also nearly impossible to even find out the status of my order because they were so confused by how many orders were coming in. I finally got them to figure it out after waiting 25 minutes, but that was only because I told them I wanted a refund if they couldn't figure out where my order was. Then, it turned out that the sandwiches had been sitting on the counter for like 15 minutes already. I think they need to figure out a way to streamline their in person orders. Where do I start? We took advantage of a BOGO sandwich coupon we got over the internet from Corner Bakery to have a pleasant dinner after work without the kids. One would think Corner Bakery would be on its best behavior to try to make us regulars, right? Not quite. The order taker was apparently relatively new, and she was overwhelmed. Not her fault - she was very nice and she tried hard. No backup or help or anybody else up front for her even though during the time she took our order she had to answer phones, talk to and help children sent up to get carryout boxes, and talk to and help adults who wanted water glasses. She took our BOGO sandwich coupon at the start of the process, and forgot it by the time she ran our credit card several minutes and many interruptions later (understandable considering she was being pulled in so many directions all by herself). During all of this, the manager was in the back in sight of the register talking to the cook or someone who was not visible. When the BOGO error was pointed out, the order taker said she would get the manager to adjust the charge. The manager hurried up to the register, told the order taker he would take care of it, did something with the register, and hurried back to his conversation. No eye contact, no acknowledgment we were there, no apology, nothing, nada, zip. The order taker gave us our receipt and credit card. When our order came, the server was pleasant, but distant. She gave off the vibe that she wanted to slide through the shift without any trouble. The "bowls" of chicken noodle soup tasted good but approached cup size without any price break. Both sandwiches came bone dry even though the Uptown Turkey had been ordered with the usual mayo plus extra on the side, and the chicken salad should have had at least some mayo on the bread. The turkey sandwich had a small serving of mayo on the side. When the dryness was pointed out, it was met with a sort of confused "deer in the headlights" look. We suggested another side of mayo and some butter for the bread that came with the soup. While the server was getting that, we noticed that we had received one bag of chips, not two as we should have. We pointed that out when she returned, and received a similar look, a profession to some confusion about whether both sandwiches came with chips (they did), and the information that she thought they were out of chips. In fact, she returned a while later with another bag of chips. The sandwiches were good. The server came by several times thereafter to be sure we were doing okay as she cleaned other tables and went about her business. She was pleasant. We finished our meal and departed with the manager still nowhere near the restaurant floor. And after more than a week, the erroneous charge is still "pending" on our credit card. read more

A few weeks back, I was responsible for ordering lunch for a small movie shoot (crew/cast). Due to Covid, we needed to order individually boxed meals for 20+ peoples. The manager and team at this Corner bakery were extremely helpful. They helped me place the order (everyone in the group wanted something different) the lunch boxes arrived on time with names written on each box. The crew loved the food! I love this Corner Bakery! I don't get what all the sourpusses are whining about, it's a deli type place that is casual fast food. If you want gourmet, go elsewhere. ANYWAY, my coworkers and I come here about once a week. We all love it. I get the Santa Fe Ranch almost every time and it's always good. Sometimes I also do the club panini, also always good. Just enough food to be filling but not enough to feel like you ate a bowling ball. I sometimes get a cookie if I have a coupon for one, they're pretty good as are their lemon bars. Tried their bundt cake and it was fairly dry but that's generally the case for any commercially baked good so I don't get it. Parking can be a pain since it's a small lot. Go park up in the Office Depot lot or across the street at the mall. Plenty of free parking all around the area. Every person I've encountered there has been very kind and helpful. Everyone pitches in to help out and there's always someone to take your trash away. This is one of my go-to places! read more

Anywhere on Corner Bakery Cafe's website didn't say you couldn't order breakfast items after 11 Am. I decide to order their soup but I couldn't see the menu. My boyfriend even said I couldn't see the menu(I'm near sided). The girl taking our menu said the soup was up above. I have many complaints. One I ordered Chicken noodle soup but it was too salty. Two I order off the kid's menu I got PBJ sandwich cause Bland diet(not enough jelly and a Capri Sun). Three Too much cantaloupe in my fruit bowl(i'm allergic to cantaloupe). Walked in and was helped immediately. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from that point. I ordered two half sandwiches on Ciabatta. The man at the cashier wasn't sure whether or not they carried the bread or if the substitution was possible. He asked and of course it was possible. My order came out rather quick but was missing my side order of jalapeño pickles and the sauce that normally comes with one of the sandwiches. They also forgot to split our order so they had to bring out a plate and then never got the chips included with the second order. The cinnamon roll came out and they forgot to heat it. I sent it back and the other staff member on the floor was pretty efficient in getting it back to us fast and warm. I went to the women's restroom and gosh was it completely disgusting. There was toilet paper all over the floor and the toilet seat covers were all pulled out of its container and just sitting on the rail of the stall. I go to wash my hands and the soap box was broken and just hanging. I noticed that their quick remedy was to tape it but that didn't work. Now as far as the quality of the food? Well, it tasted old. The turkey had a weird taste to it. The manager at this location has plenty of work to do. This isn't the standard that all other Corner Bakeries are at, by far. read more

My friend and I were here last night around 9:20pm. We've been here before without incident. Last night we ordered and received our food without any problems. The food tasted good! As friends do, we were talking and eating slowly. I finished before my friend. I guess they closed at 10pm. Instead of just kindly letting us know that they were closed, one of the servers came to our booth and just started taking my friend's food away WHILE she was still eating! I had to kindly tell her that she's not finished and could she please give us a to-go container. She did, but begrudgingly. To me, this was beyond rude. Next time, just let us know you're closed and ask us if you could get us a to-go container. We understand that you probably were ready to clean up and go home, but this is not an excuse for your rudeness. read more

Went in for breakfast and decided to get some pasta. They have a very wide range selection of food and I'm sure it's all very good.
