    Crunchy Peanut Salad
    Aprille C.

I hadn't been here since a Yelp Elite event a few years ago. The food here is always delicious. There was no wait on a Sunday night. I had the Crunchy Peanut Salad which was yummy. My husband had the pastrami sandwich which came with a salad that he liked but will probably get something different next time. We'll return.

Great food just super pricey which makes it hard to want to come here often lol. They do have a lot of healthy choices, everything seems fresh, lots of options for sandwiches and otherwise. Their aguas frescas was yummy. Service was really nice, if you eat there they take it to your table for you. And it's in a private parking lot so there is plenty of spots available. Again I overall really enjoy the food but it may be too expensive to justify eating here often.

I placed my first order online and it was super easy from the beginning to the end. I ordered the UC Banh Mi and my daughter ordered the Cranberry Brie but she substituted the turkey for chicken. You just select the location and time to pick up then pay online when you're done. Also, they gave me a free cookie since it was my first time ordering online. There were plenty of place to park since it was a shopping center lot. There are two spots at the front entrance but it was for curbside pickup. It was around 4:30pm on a Friday so it wasn't too bad to find a spot. Anyway, our order was ready and placed on the pick up shelf. I didn't spend much time inside but it was very nice, clean and spacious. Our food was super yummy and they never disappoint. My UC Banh Mi had the pickled vegetables like the Vietnamese Banh Mi. I love how they Americanized it with their bread. The extra salad that came on the side comes with dressing. I just put all the salad in my sandwich and it's perfect.

My daughter take me to this welcoming café for a quick salad for lunch. And when I say quick, they were really quick with our food and it looked amazing! I ordered the crunchy peanut salad That came with marinated cilantro chicken Mixed greens, cucumbers, edamame Mandarin, oranges And peanut. It was amazing. My daughter ordered the café salad and it looked so delicious. my Husband ordered the chimichurri steak sandwich and it was delicious! The bread was so soft mouthwatering. This is a must try. They have great customer service very kind and quick with your food. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. I will be back.

Live flies still moving around inside the food.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but after my recent experience, I will never order from here again. I received a salmon bowl that had live flies still moving around inside the food. It was absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. I was shocked that a restaurant I once trusted could serve something so unhygienic. I lost my appetite immediately and couldn't eat anything. When I contacted the restaurant, their response was disappointing -- there was no real apology or sense of urgency to fix the issue. It's extremely concerning that food is being prepared and delivered in these conditions. Until they address their cleanliness and quality control, I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Came here New Year's Day right out of a Barry's workout and starving. I came in wondering how filling this meal would be going off a friend's recommendation. Nobody was in line, I know it's new years so maybe not the best representation of the norm but easy and quick to order and the food came within the time it took me to get drinks lol. Is this fast food?? Lol The Mediterranean bowl was fresh all around from the sweet potatoes to the tomato cucumber salsa. The red pepper hummus. Plenty of seating inside and out on the patio. A huge parking lot in this shopping center. This might be my new spot for healthier protein bowls

Love this location. First came here when it opened and couldn't be happier. Very clean inside, plenty of tables inside and out on the patio facing Verdugo. Love ordering online and picking it up. They are very quick. This time we ordered inside and it was not long before our food was ready. I am a HUGE fan of the Mediterranean Bowl! I got it with the roasted chicken and extra pickled onions. Plenty of parking in the lot. Employees are very friendly.

(Dined 10/12/24 SA @ 2:00pm): The food served by this cafe was certainly urbane in nature at an affordable price! A final meal with her sister before she went back to the east coast, my dear friend chose Urbane Cafe's Burbank location for something healthy and light... and I agreed with her! This was to be my third meal of the day that started at a baseball field, to Bob's Big Boy, and finally this place. When I worked in Santa Clarita more than a decade ago, I often went to their location on The Old Road. Since then, this was my first time back at any location. Obviously, I liked them, so I was looking forward to this even though I was nearly stuffed. Would this cafe's new-to-me urban location be as good as I remembered it to be!? PURCHASE Bundaberg Blood Orange Flavored Sparkling Fruit Drink 12.7floz Bottle ($3.95): I was more partial to their ginger beer for mixing cocktails and such, but I generally liked all of their flavors, and this one had a nice sweetness with a hint of tartness - pucker up! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=rnj1MT3Xr2mZq5GEfboi-Q Ahi Salad w/Japanese Dressing ($13.95): Crafted with sashimi grade seared ahi, mixed greens, coleslaw mix, avocado, feta cheese, edamame, cucumbers, red radishes, grape tomatoes, and sesame seeds, served with Japanese chili dressing and a piece of fresh baked focaccia bread, this was an extremely welcomed healthy and filling entree (I was already full from two earlier meals). The ahi was plentiful, lightly seasoned, thick, and tasted wonderful! It was succulent and settled nicely on your tongue. The dressing was light with a hint of heat, and paired well with all of the ingredients. The focaccia bread was fluffy and great. I'd honestly buy a full loaf if they had it! A damn good salad! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=z5fjwNwfsT_tP80WT9mYGg SERVICE I was warmly greeted by a friendly young woman behind the counter who quickly took my order (I was sold on the banner that advertised this new dish!). I was immediately given my drink and a table top order number. About five minutes later, my food was delivered to our table and that was it. There was no need for any table service as you threw away your own trash and returned the tray to the rubbish area - easy-peasy! PARKING (FREE) Located within The Ranch at Hollywood & Verdugo outdoor premiere shopping center nestled in close proximity to major entertainment studios that included ABC, NBC, Walt Disney Studios, and Warner Brothers Studios, they shared a spacious lot with several businesses such as CycleBar, Menchies, Verizon, and Western Bagel - 'nuf said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A spacious boxy layout inside filled with many chairs and tables in addition to a smaller outdoor patio (where we sat) with plenty of chairs & tables and umbrellas for some shade. With the exception of the highly legible and visible menu on the wall next to the order counter once you entered, there was little else of decorations; it was a very clean place. Plenty of natural lighting came through the surrounding glass walls and doors while an assortment of hung and recessed electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while pop music quietly played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Burbank's Urbane Cafe location was a very nice place to enjoy my lovely meal, and I would make sure to return for another (this was also conveniently close to one of the rental properties). It may've been over 10 years since I last ate this brand's food, but all the amazeness quickly came back once I walked in and then took my first bite. The prices were very comparable, the portion size wonderful, and the service was easy and straightforward. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL would-be paid experience was around $20.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

Pastrami Tri Tip sandwich and house salad

The Pastrami tri tip was amazing and such friendly service!! Hailey is such a sweetheart and made our first time so welcoming we came back the next day!!

These sandwiches made me realize I need way more focaccia in my life! Truly game changing, everything was so fresh and DELICIOUS I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu. My boyfriend ordered the chimichurri steak sandwich and I had the UC banh mi. While imo a banh mi is still best on a classic baguette, this was a very enjoyable and unique way to experience the classic flavors of the sandwich! The atmosphere is bright and casual, order at the counter and take a number to your table style. Our 2 sandwiches took at least 20 minutes to come out but it was worth the wait.

I was hungry last night and I wanted something light, so I made a drive to this location. Ambiance felt calm and not too loud as it wasn't packed either. They also have outside seating, so there plenty to sit. Staff was friendly as well. You place your order at the register, then get a number to add to your table. My food did not take long to come out and I was happy about that turn around. I ordered the "Chimichurri steak" it has: tri tip steak, house made chimichurri sauce, feta, arugula, cranberry chutney aioli-- and a house salad on the side. The sandwich itself was very tasty, and I actually added sriracha sauce to it and that made it taste better. I initially thought my sandwich would come with small chunks of steak, but no they were slices of tri-tip. I am used to eating tri tip on the warm side, however, this didn't make a difference since I still enjoyed my sandwich. I'd come back and try their other sandwich selections for sure. Parking lot is big plenty of spaces.

Where to park wasn't clear to us but it didn't take long to find free street parking a short walk away on Weddington. Ordering at this location is through a walk up window. However today it was fully occupied by a team member handling pick-up orders. There was another team member who seemed to be taking orders as customers walked up, but was also helping with pick ups. This was a bit confusing so we just waited until someone approached us which didn't take long. The husband chose the Bruxie SmashBurger (+ egg), opting to make it a combo with Waffle Fries and soda. I had the Chicken & Waffles. It all came out pretty quickly. The husband said his SmashBurger was fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. He loved the waffle fries. My chicken tenders were nicely fried, moist on the inside and seasoned well. The waffle was light and crisp. It all came together with the whipped butter and pure maple syrup -- so good! Service was great. Team members checked on us and refilled drinks. I do appreciate that they have packs of moist towelettes easily available for customers.

Thankfully we finally caved in because we've been sleeping on this place for years! It's located off of Lankershim Blvd & Academy Way, basically next to the Laemmle Noho 7 and the Saban Media Center. Bruxie was kind of hard to gauge on how to order - there's a walk-up window for ordering and pick-up orders, but employees can also walk right up to you and place your order for you. You can also order online ahead, so yeah slightly confusing but as long as you put your order in you're golden. They have four big tables outside along with counter seating on the sidewalk. If it gets too hot or cold, they also have seating inside an old train car that is purely counters only. We sat inside the train car, but the only caveat is that people are constantly going in/out and they sometimes leave the door open. They also have a water station inside the train car if you want to cool off. My wife and I both ordered the Kickin' "Nashville" Hot Chicken Sandwich and we shared the Loaded Waffle-Cut Fries. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time - if you're dining there, the employees bring out your food wherever you are and provide plastic utensils along with sauces. The hot chicken sandos live up to their namesake, packing quite a kick! The loaded waffle fries hit the spot. If you're in NoHo looking for some good chicken & waffles, Bruxie will satisfy! We can't wait to come back and try more of their menu! They're open late too if you have some late night cravings (they close at midnight Thurs, Fri & Sat). There's street parking or you can park at the garage of the Saban Media Center.

Got here early Sunday afternoon because the line was not absurdly long -- about 6 ish parties in front of us and waited around 15-20 minutes. The interior was really small and there's really only room for to place your order -- if you ordered a drink or sandwich you'd have to step outside to wait. There are a couple of small round tables covered with umbrellas for small parties if you want to do a small meet up or wait for your goods. We had wanted some croissants and apple tarts but unfortunately they had run out of the Apple tarts by the time we ordered (another excuse to return next time). We were convinced by the nice lady at the register to pick up not one but two almond croissants because they were fresh out of the oven and I'm SO GLAD we did. It was still hot/warm when we took our first bite after walking back to our car -- flaky amazing lamination with a steaming frangipane filling, for sure the best almost croissant I've had. The regular croissant was also good but not fresh/warm like the almond croissant so it left less of an impression but I can imagine it also tasting amazing if we got it fresh. Burbank is not necessarily close to where I live but I'm so glad we happened to stop by to finally try this spot out! I'd love to try the sandwiches and tarts next time!

The Line Told Me Everything I Needed to Know…read more Stumbled upon this spot after nearby Japanese BBQ, and what immediately caught my attention was the line -- probably around 20 people deep. Naturally, I asked a random customer what all the hype was about, and they told me this place was famous for their croissant pastries. Well... next thing you know, I'm standing in line too after a very full lunch. I ended up trying the Chocolate Almond Croissant for $6.50, and let me tell you something -- I am a HUGE croissant girlie. While I'm not normally the biggest chocolate person, Spain and Portugal recently changed my perspective on dark chocolate, and apparently now I'm in my dark chocolate era. And honestly? This croissant was BETTER than the super popular pastry we had in Barcelona, Spain. The chocolate wasn't overpowering at all -- it had the perfect amount of dark sweetness without being too rich. But the real surprise was the almond filling layered at the bottom. Oh my gosh... chef's kiss. Nutty, creamy, not overly sweet, and perfectly balanced. Chocolate Almond Croissant -- 9.2/10 I can only imagine how life-changing this would taste fresh out of the oven piping hot. Service was fast despite the line moving constantly, but just know there's no indoor seating. It's very much an order, pick up, and go type of spot. Ambiance was welcoming and super friendly gals. Definitely a must-try, and I'll absolutely remember to stop by again anytime I'm in Burbank. Happy eats!!

We've been doing that for a few years now, so that should tell you something right there. Our order is fairly consistent: we each start with a mimosa that comes in a highball glass, so one is usually all we need. Next, we share an order of kimchi biscuits (you get two). So delicious! Packed full of kimchi, bacon and cheddar cheese, it's a nice combo of flavors that play well together. The interior is usually soft and warm, with a nice crunchy crust. Top that with a smatter of the cinnamon butter that it comes with...yum! Our choice of entree varies, anything from avocado toast, to their kale and seaweed salad or any of their other selections they have from their brunch/lunch menu. On this outing, my friend and I both opted for the bibimbap. I opted for the pork bulgogi while my friend got the chicken version. It comes with a generous amount of carrots, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts, and is topped with a runny, sunny side up egg that serves as an excellent sauce when you mix everything together, along with the gochujang sauce. We upgraded and got it with brown rice in the hot stone bowl. Worth it! The regular bibimbap is good, but when you mix in the crunchy crust that comes from the bottom of the stone bowl, you get an additional texture that makes the dish really stand out. The flavors already come together nicely, and the crunchy bits just enhance the experience. For dessert, we like to share the "lemon pie", which is actually a scoop of lemon gelato that comes in a glass that also includes graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows. A nice way to end the meal. And the staff! We usually either have Justin or Ann as our server, but everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They are consistently good at checking up on you and making sure you have everything you need. Just another 5 star reason of why we keep coming back!

It was actually hard to decide on just one bakery item - everything looked delicious. Next time the coffee cake will be happening. I got poached eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. Husband got a hash omelette. Both come with a lovely little side of greens with a great dressing. Brunch isn't brunch without a little libation, so I had a lovely French white wine and he had a French red. The wine list though small by the glass is chosen very well. We were hoping they sold their bread at the bakery because it's absolutely delicious. Service is warm and friendly. Price point for breakfast with tip was $100. We will definitely be coming back soon to this great neighborhood spot.

Got the short rib and it was so delicious, perfect amount of cheese, grease, meat, and again delicious bread. They give a lot of fries as well. Service wise they are nice but I really don't like how it's expensive yet you don't get sit down service. It's all order yourself get your own water, napkins etc.. For the price that makes it a downgrade in my opinion. Inside is super large and spacious, pretty atmosphere. Tons of seating and they have their own parking lot! The best! lol
