Casual Mediterranean place where you order at the front and your order is brought out to you. I had the bbq chicken wrap with lentil soup and pasta salad. I need to try their pastries and other items on the menu. Such a filling and delicious meal. I will be back.

Visiting my sister in Burbank. The Food at Sotta is good and tastes fresh. Service was quick! Staff is nice ! Its ambiance is modern and casual. You have options of indoor and outdoor seating which to me is also a plus ! Prices a bit more than other similar places but not too too bad.

A very welcoming and spacious atmosphere, with plenty of seating. They also have outdoor seating. I was with my 7 months old daughter, and it was easy to bring the stroller and to find space to dine in. They didn't have a baby changer in the restrooms, but there was a storage cabinet in on the restrooms that worked as a baby changer. The service was warm and friendly! Parking is right behind the restaurant. I had the Thai noodle salad, ground sirloin kabob, babaganoush, and tomato soup. Everything tasted fresh and was seasoned well. The salad portion was generous, and the kabob portion was decent. I loved the fluffy, cloud like garlic sauce that came with the kabob. I would definitely go back to try their pastries and drinks!

Very yummy quality food also very expensive lol. Buttt I do think it was worth the price. The chicken was so juicy, the rice flavorful, even the side Greek salad had a lot of flavor to it which I enjoyed. Their lavender lemonade was delicious also and free refills! Also they have those viral mousse fruit desserts, expensive but delicious! Service was pretty good it's an order yourself place. They do bring the food to you, along with your drinks, etc which is nice, they were overall super helpful for our first time there! Inside is pretty big and nice looking inside. they have a good amount of options for seating. You do have to sit yourself so that may get complicated if they are busy. The only thing I did not enjoy was the parking, it was awful. Super super small parking lot in the back, barely able to fit in the spots, difficult to pull in and even more difficult to get out without it taking forever so you don't hit someone else's car. Only other option it seemed like was street meter parking. Maybe it's the typical in this area and I'm just a newbie but this was pretty bad lol. Overall though I do want to come back to try more of their food!

Swung by here for a quick dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality food they have. I got their chicken kabob plate. Their chicken nice and juicy and their garlic sauce felt very light - almost like a whipped sauce. It's a casual cafe and would love to come try their brunch/ breakfast items some time.

This place is casual and a little in the trendy side. Comfortable seating options inside and outside. Order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Really friendly staff. I had the filet mignon skewer with salad and rice. A little pricey for what it was, but the quality is undeniable. My meat was tender and flavorful, salad was fresh. Their desserts looked amazing, but I was too full to order one. Next time, for sure!

What a lovely place to spend a bit of my day! There is great indoor seating and outdoor seating! The staff are accommodating and welcoming. They have gluten-free options. Everything was freshly prepared - the salads were cold, the soup was hot, the Chicken Shawarma moist. The rice had the perfect texture- not rubbery or day old. The sauces for each item were perfectly spiced. Would I come back - yes please. And the WiFi - reliable! (Eating alone today so did a bit of work & reading).

Great fresh food and flavors. I had the kale salad with sirloin and my hubby had the Thai chicken wrap and we shared fries. Really wanted dessert but, we're too full. Staff was great too Will be back if ever in the area.

We found this place back in February when I was in the hospital and needed something fresh and actually healthy because the hospital food just wasn't cutting it. This ended up being a lifesaver. The Mediterranean chicken salad became my go-to right away. Everything is always super fresh, good quality, and consistently delicious. You can really taste the difference. It's now our go-to for Mediterranean salads and chicken. I usually stick to that salad, but today I tried the BBQ salad with filet mignon and wow... new obsession. Both are amazing, just different vibes. My fiance odded caramelized salmon to the Caesar salad and loved it. Their Caesar is great on its own, but the salmon takes it up a notch. * Staff is always really nice * Coffee is great the lavender latte is a favorite * Guava lemonade is so good * Prices are fair for the quality * Easy parking in the back and some in front we've never had an issue * Clean restrooms for customers We have another Mediterranean place closer to home that we love, but this one is next level. Totally worth the drive. Definitely recommend.

Mother's Day: the holiday where we express our gratitude for all the mothers, fur baby moms and those guiding posts in our lives who behave like moms with flowers, cards, relaxation and love. While a simple 'thank you' often suffices; even better with is a meal to warm a mom's belly! Whether this is a fancy affair or something made with love is up to the mom in question. This is how Sotta came into my life on Mother's Day when celebrating a lovely mother who adores Sotta alongside her sons (I have never been) and all she wanted was a Sotta dinner. Sotta is a Mediterranean kitchen located on Alameda in Burbank close to the Buena Vista intersection and St. Joseph's hospital.  Owned by Mike and Arman (they also have a small sister-café in Los Feliz on Vermont, "Sidewalk Café") with free parking located adjacent to the building; Sotta serves up traditional Medi fare such as kabobs, pita wraps, salads, sides alongside wine/alcohol and pastries and coffee. So, what makes Sotta stand out among the similar over-saturated LA restaurants? Sotta uses an open flame grill and wood-fire oven to truly elevate their flavors and dishes and this comes across the second patrons taste the food but without insanely breaking your budget. Sotta is very welcoming with an indoor and outdoor dining area with wood trim and tables, high ceilings, exposed beams and an airy, open concept with an order counter before finding seating. Our party of four entered a very busy Mother's Day crowd around 6pm (Sotta only accepts reservations starting with parties of five). A small spa water station sits by the door as you wait in line to place your order. Everyone in our party decided to order plates "from the grill" with one or two sides that also come with salad or rice. I went with the Filet Mignon skewer with one side ($23) choosing salad over rice and dolma (grape leaves) as my side. The rest of my party chose Lamb Chops ($23 with one side) with various sides such as lentil soup, hummus, and sautéed mushrooms. Two members of the party also ordered Arnold Palmers to drink. This is where the waiting game began because it seemed to take FOREVER for Sotta to deliver our food. Granted, again, it was a holiday and busy but it still seemed a bit long to me and I was hungry after getting over a flu and not having really eaten in days! First to arrive was the celebrated mother's lentil soup which arrived cold and she had to ask for it to be warmed up. How are you going to deliver cold soup to a guest? It's SOUP! Another weird customer service moment was the female associate calling over to our table from the counter asking if the drinks have been served versus coming to ask/check. It was very uncomfortable and obtrusive even if minor. When the dinner finally arrived; I was very pleased to see large servings with colorful, fresh ingredients. You eat with your eyes, first, and I ate these plate up visually. Did the flavors deliver as well as the plating? YES! My filet mignon was perfect, tasty and tender and perfectly accented with the garlic paste. The salad dressing for the salad was so heavenly that I could have taken a pail of it home to bathe in and the dolma was fantastic which I am usually very picky with because I had a college best friend from Palestine whose grandmother made the BEST dolma. I tasted the Lamb Loin chops which were also very tender and lovely with a semi-sweet glaze. Everything was absolutely wonderful (and better than Sidewalk Grill although the sister café is great, too). The food was worth the wait (I cleaned every crumb off my plate) and the mother was pleased. What can I really add to Sotta's Yelp presence when it already rides high with over 1k reviews and high ratings? Sotta isn't perfect but it is darn close and holds up to the hype being a must-try for Mediterranean lovers in the Burbank area.

Mediterranean food with a modern twist. Everything about this place is modern - or minimal - the decor, the service, the whole ambiance of it. You order as you come in on the counter, they give you a number, you pick a table and display your number. I ordered their chicken gyro plate, comes with a salad, rice and a side which I chose babaganoush (eggplant) - the chicken gyro looked nothing like a gyro - I think they gave me the wrong thing - but anyway, the chicken was tasty, so I didn't complain, because honestly I thought they were just being different. My friend had ground beef sirloin, which she loved and a chicken kabob. I also ordered a few falafels just to taste and that was good. You want dessert? You have to stand up and go to the counter and look and pay for it there. Their banana cheese cake is surprisingly good and so was their fresh fruit tart. There's parking at the back if you can't find on the street.

We've been doing that for a few years now, so that should tell you something right there. Our order is fairly consistent: we each start with a mimosa that comes in a highball glass, so one is usually all we need. Next, we share an order of kimchi biscuits (you get two). So delicious! Packed full of kimchi, bacon and cheddar cheese, it's a nice combo of flavors that play well together. The interior is usually soft and warm, with a nice crunchy crust. Top that with a smatter of the cinnamon butter that it comes with...yum! Our choice of entree varies, anything from avocado toast, to their kale and seaweed salad or any of their other selections they have from their brunch/lunch menu. On this outing, my friend and I both opted for the bibimbap. I opted for the pork bulgogi while my friend got the chicken version. It comes with a generous amount of carrots, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts, and is topped with a runny, sunny side up egg that serves as an excellent sauce when you mix everything together, along with the gochujang sauce. We upgraded and got it with brown rice in the hot stone bowl. Worth it! The regular bibimbap is good, but when you mix in the crunchy crust that comes from the bottom of the stone bowl, you get an additional texture that makes the dish really stand out. The flavors already come together nicely, and the crunchy bits just enhance the experience. For dessert, we like to share the "lemon pie", which is actually a scoop of lemon gelato that comes in a glass that also includes graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows. A nice way to end the meal. And the staff! We usually either have Justin or Ann as our server, but everyone there is super friendly and helpful. If nothing else, I always make an effort to squeeze in at least one new restaurant in their lineup. For one, I get to sample what each restaurant considers to be their most popular menu items or exclusive dishes. Also, it's often a tasting menu that offers a little bit more. More like a foodie's bonus prize, just for participating. Yakumi looked good this time around. Probably because I'd eat sushi any day/every day, if I could. And I was able to find a quick prix fixe style sushi solution without roshambeau'ing with myself for hours, deciding on what to eat. YAKUMI BOX + THE DineLA MENU On the regular menu, the Yakima Box is $29 and no drink's included. During DineLA week, this filling lunch choice was just $25 and came with a shōchū cocktail as a refreshing bonus. It included: + Sunomono or seaweed salad + 1 piece of tuna sushi + 2 pieces each of yellowtail, salmon, and albacore topped with fried shallots (Note: It's not the fresh green scallions with ponzu sauce recipe) + A choice of 2 classic rolls like 2-piece baked crab roll, or 4-pieces of yellowtail jalapeño, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, avocado, and California roll (Note: The crab roll was buttery and tasty; the spicy tuna was standard) + My bonus drink: Mango Lychee Shochu The fish was fresh, the mango lychee cocktail was refreshing. Both were on the lighter side and pleasant for a lunchtime meal. INDOOR SEATING + OUTDOOR PATIO Sit inside or outside? To settle the debate, I did both while waiting for my lunch date to arrive. The warm, sunny patio was lovely, but there are only a few spots in the shade during certain times of the day, even with the awning drawn. Indoors, it's quaint and mirrors the koi fish artwork that graces the corner of the restaurant's exterior. It adds an authentic seafood-centric, Japanese charm to the ambiance. Service was prompt, although it wasn't a very busy time. Just across the street at Alfred Coffee, however, the second wave of a caffeine rush hour--needing their daily fix--rolled by as we paid. Loved everything about the Classic Tuna Poke Bowl I ordered!…read more The black (forbidden) rice, yellowfin tuna, salmon, red onions, avocado, seaweed salad, bean sprouts, and pickled ginger were a great combination. I just added a banana chili pepper and it tasted fresh and delicious! There was an online promotion today so the bowl was $12.18 instead of $20.30 (without taxes). I thought the portion would be on the smaller side but it was not the case at all. I am full, satisfied, and would order again!!

Having spent $93.40, the quality of the yellowfin tuna is hardly high quality and the quantity of fish was about 1/3 the amount of regular poke places. Items ordered were the Classic Tura, Superfood Bowl, Spicy Tuna Bowl, Keto Bowl, and two different BYOB burrito - all barely had any flavour...can we say bland? Also, the bowls and burritos were filled with primarily the base ingredients (rice/cauliflower rice), sweet potatoes, kale and bean sprouts (depending upon the bowl selected). These items are not only inexpensive but fills up the bowl. If you call it a poke bowl, at least 50 percent of the bowl should be filled with poke and not filler. Otherwise, it would be called a rice bowl with poke! Street parking is difficult in this Burbank location and I was greeted with a hostile attitude even though I spent nearly $100.00. Both food and service is lacklustre.

If you're ever in Burbank and suddenly feel like your brunch standards are way too low, go to Wild…read moreCarvery. This place doesn't just make brunch--they make life decisions. We're talking about the steak and egg, which is so good it might ruin every other steak and egg you've ever had. Then there's strawberry banana French toast --because apparently regular French toasts just aren't dramatic enough. Everything's made with organic, natural ingredients, so you can feel healthy... while eating something the size of your head. Prices are affordable, and honestly, the portions are so big you might leave with dinner for later--or a new personality. It's got a chill vibe, friendly staff, and great people-watching. Basically, you come for brunch and leave questioning why you ever ate anywhere else.

Hugely disappointed after hearing so many good things about their ribeye and pastrami burger. The…read morefood ended up being bland, overly salty, cold, and honestly nowhere near worth the price. We came on a weekend for brunch and they had already run out of menus at the front, so people in line were just standing there trying to figure out what to order with nothing to look at beforehand. The tables took a long time to be cleaned. Parking: Metered parking on the main street, but there's free parking at the garage near the AMC. Food: We got the Chilaquiles and Ribeye, Pastrami Burger, and two coffees, which was $72. For that price, I expected the food to have good flavor and quality. The coffee tasted super watered down, the pastrami burger was way too salty, and the fries came out cold. The ribeye was honestly the biggest disappointment. After hearing it was "the best ribeye around," I had high hopes and ordered it medium rare, excited to try it. The ribeye turned out to be a really small, thin cut of meat that was overcooked and tasted pretty cheap compared to how it's hyped up online. The chilaquiles were bland and soggy, and the beans were too. The whole meal just felt really underwhelming for the price. Service: Pretty minimal and slow. You order at the counter, grab a number, and they eventually bring the food out. Nobody checked in on us. Overall, Wild Carvery felt way overhyped from all the online reels and food posts. The food definitely did not live up to how it's portrayed online. The only thing I really liked was the location in downtown Burbank.
