Although this place does get packed around noon, they do have plenty of seating inside, as well as patio seating. Now let's talk food: for breakfast they offer sandwiches, paninis, pancakes, oatmeal, wraps and various other items. If you're a health nut you'll find some options here. My favorite breakfast items are the All American Scrambler which is your standard American breakfast: eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast. The Anaheim Scrambler which is similar to the All American except the scrambled eggs have veggies mixed in like an omelet. Lastly, the Anaheim Panini, is a delicious breakfast sandwich, it's made up of scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato, avocado, green onions, and cheddar inside two slices of sourdough bread. Yummy. For Lunch you have options such as Rustic Grilled Cheese, Club, Meatball Panini, Uptown Turkey Avocado Sandwich, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, Chicken Carbonara Pasta, Shrimp Scampi Linguini, Roasted Tomato Basil Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, and various salad options as well as a kid menu. Every item my family and me have tried has been satisfying. The only item I do not enjoy here are their breakfast potatoes because they lack any flavor. Plain and simple, if your looking for a meal that isn't gonna leave you feeling sluggish and lethargic, this is the place. The portions are enough to curb that hunger but not leave you overstuffed. Their soups and sandwiches are tasty and their coffee piping hot and since it's self serve, you never have to wait around for that second cup. I don't understand what happened to this place but why TF do they have chicken in every salad? if I get a sandwich with chicken and I want half of that sandwich with a salad, all salads have chicken with the exception of the Caesar salad which is their worst salad. Their Caesar tastes fishy and wrong. My problem is that they won't charge less if I don't want the chicken in the salad. Feels like a trap. And they are now charging nearly $4 for a medium drink? Corner Bakery always reminds me of Target. It's an upper middle class restaurant that isn't too expensive but makes you feel better about yourself after shopping there. Their coffee is usually just okay. Cafe Europa is the best in my opinion. I got the Chicken Pomodori Panini with the Chicken Rosa Pasta and both were really good. The panini was super crisp on the outside and basically perfectly toasted. The taste is what you would expect from a chain, but higher quality because of the fresher ingredients. The panini itself was good but lacked depth of flavor. It even had oven roasted tomatoes which is usually my favorite but it added little flavor. It was also slightly colder then I would like. The pasta was good but the tomato cream sauce left me wanting more. Red pepper flakes toasted or fried before I think would elevate this dish even on its own. Overall, don't expect a 5 star rating experience, but definitely expect to feel bougie and more like the person your mom always wanted you to be when you walk out. read more

Wow it seems like I have not been here in awhile. I was doing some appliance shopping down the street at Best Buy and wadi. Need of some refreshment. A good cup of coffee and the blueberry hand pies or the cinnamon rolls from Corner Bakery are what popped into my mind. I went into the store and there was not much of a selection at 2pm on a Sunday- no blueberry pies, no cinnamon rolls- nothing that I remember from pre pandemic days except the coffee cake. This place is going to be my coffee, lunch, and study spot for the next year. The vibes are very relaxed and the inside is beautiful. Plenty of seating. The service was friendly and they have someone clearing tables and plates as you go. The food was delicious!! The avocado Cobb was light and fresh. First time stopping in after a flight from Dallas and I was ready for some brunch. After seeing good reviews, I decided to try it out. Customer service is good. I was greeted with smiles and they give you a card with a number, after you order, so that they can bring your food to your table, like a chick fil a. Food was hot and tasted okay. I expected more to be honest but the Anaheim Panini I ordered was way to oiled up with butter and that's what it tasted like. Not a lot going on in the inside of the panini either. They definitely weren't feeling generous. Next, for an extra $1 you can add a side of breakfast potatoes. From the picture, you can tell it's kinda sad. Overcooked and not much. The hazelnut cold brew was very watery and too much cream. I think I need a shot of expresso to add to it. However, I would give this place a try again . I will just have to try something different. Got pancakes that were cold couldn't even melt the hard butter. Bacon was all lard even my son couldn't eat it and he loves bacon. It's a shame I used to love to go there for their bacon. Manager Mrs. Trego asked me what would I like her to do and rolled her eyes. She brought me back hot pancakes and rubber sausage. I went on Saturday and had a BBLT egg sandwich. It was so phenomenal that I decided to go again the next morning. What a disappointment. The sandwich was cut in half and on the first side of the half there was nothing but toast, plus that half of the sandwich didn't have even one slice of bacon. Just another restaurant that can't get their sh*t together. We ordered take out -- 2 sandwiches with potato soup and chips. We payed full price only to get home and NO CHIPS. How does this happen. Yes I should've checked the order but I shouldn't have to. How hard is it to get an order right? So I live too far to go back and pick up the chips, and since we both ordered hot sandwiches by the time I get home the sandwiches are cold. So when I called to complain the little girl who answered said well if you come in tomorrow I can pick up the chips with my receipt. Oh boy! I'll save my sandwich until tomorrow and just go to bed hungry. There are so many places that have similar takeout problems that my one star ratings list is just growing exponentially. This afternoon I was treated to a lovely lunch and on this occasion I was more than pleased. We ordered the chicken pomodori and the green chili chicken paninis with a side of loaded potato soup. The flavors in both paninis paired so well with each other. The paninis are a bit on the small side but with the chips and potato soup it came out to a filling meal. I like eating here every now and then because their food is pretty good for a light lunch or breakfast. They have a few "ok" menu items but most of them are hits in my book. Their staff is usually pretty nice too and the place is usually really clean .The only thing that changed is the pick-up packaging. Instead of the old containers, they now wrap the food in foil and throw it in a brown paper bag, so every time I get a sandwich or panini, its always soggy :( not a huge problem. I was a little nervous seeing the other reviews but since El Paso doesn't have a lot of breakfast spots to pick from, i thought I'd give it a shot. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches to go, my order was ready to go when i got there which i appreciated. I ordered the BLT breakfast sandwich and i would say it was okay. There was a LOT of bacon on it and eggs were kinda sitting in one spot on the sandwich so had to redistribute the sandwich. I would say doing two fried eggs makes more sense for this one. I also couldn't taste the black pepper balsamic aioli on it at all. So i added hot sauce. Overall, i think i would be back. Definitely not the worst thing I've ever had. read more

I've come here multitudes of times and while the food is great and the desserts/pastries amazing...this place has the WORST customer service of any place on the Westside. The servers are usually really young and so inattentive that it's rude. Utensils? I have to ask for them. Food takes too long to get to my table? I get a barely audible & forced 'Uhm. Sorry.' Ordered a club panini today, which is what I always order by the way, and noticed that my panini had a white creamy sauce with green thing on it. So I tried it. And it tasted like garlic. Absolutely not mayonnaise like it's supposed to be. So I went to the counter and the employee told the manager what was going on with my sandwich. Little did he know that I was standing there. The employee had to tell him that I was there and could hear their conversation. Instead of saying "hi ma'am can I help you" or anything in that general description. He looked at me in a sort of shock that I was returning a sandwich. So I pointed out that my sandwich did not have mayonnaise and that the cheese wasn't melted and that the turkey was cold. I had to literally tell him or explain to him that regular mayonnaise does not have green things on it and does not taste like garlic. So after I had to explain to him how mayonnaise looks and tastes like he kind of said he'd replace it. Went back to my chair and prayed that no one would spit in my sandwich. I don't think they did, but when I got my sandwich back I don't think there was any mayo. Maybe a tiny drop. But I was hungry so I wasn't about to return it again. But! As me and my daughters we're leaving the restaurant we noticed that the manager was going to tables checking on how their meals were going. And I couldn't help but notice that on the last table right before we left, instead of getting to the customers level, he leaned over the table, on top of a baby that was in a high chair, with his hands on top of the table. In business school they teach you to always get down to your customers level and I'm pretty sure that common sense tells you not to lean over the baby sitting in a high chair. This review is 3.5 stars. I won't round up to four stars on this one. This was my first time going to this location. I didn't eat at Corner Bakery. I ordered the food for pickup online. I was disappointed it wasn't ready when I arrived. I ordered it at around 9:30/9:45 am and had to wait until 10:40 am. The website said it would be ready by 10:20 and it wasn't. No explanation or sorry for the delay from anyone. It seemed busy but that wasn't my fault. The web site should've said it would take longer. This would've helped me plan better. I was at work so I was on a tight schedule. I was a few minutes late to a prior commitment. The service was OK, nothing spectacular. The employees seemed like it was a burden for them to get my food. The food was average, nothing special. I ordered shrimp linguine and they didn't do it the way I asked them to. I asked for no tomatoes and cheese. Instead, they added tomatoes and no cheese. I also ordered broccoli/cheddar soup and a tuna salad sandwich for a friend. She enjoyed her meal. I tasted both but I didn't like either one that much. The bread seemed like it was whole wheat and the tuna had onions and celery mixed in. All of that is a NO NO for me. I like tuna but not prepared like that. I didn't like the bread either. It had little tiny seeds in it. The soup was also thicker than normal. The cheese tasted stronger than I would like. It was most likely a strong cheddar cheese. I would've preferred a mild or even a medium cheddar. The soup at Albertsons tastes much better than here. I doubt I'll return anytime soon to Corner Bakery, especially to this location. Their array of pastries, cakes, and cookies is actually baked daily (which is more than Whole Foods can say), and there is so much to choose from! You want a 750 calorie slice of coffee cake? You got it. You want a snack size apricot rugelach to pair with your afternoon tea? Don't mind if I order 3 (I can never eat just one)! They also have a solid breakfast menu. Savory options like the Anaheim panini are filling and delicious. My personal favorite is the Pumpkin Spice Pancakes that come out around Thanksgiving. Totally underrated and always fantastic! The only downside that prevents me from eating here more regularly is the super high sodium content of their sandwiches and pastas. It's so high you can feel your blood pressure rising hours after a meal. But, once in a while, it's worth indulging! Many may disagree, but I absolutely love their Baker's Blend coffee.
