Went for brunch on a Sunday and ordered 2 kids pancakes plates, overnight oats, and meatball panini. The pancake plates and meatball panini were served cold. The panini wasn't even cooked thoroughly! I brought it to the attention of the staff, and they just took half the sandwich back, heated it up, brought it back on the plate. Who knows what went on while the food was out of sight. Stopped by recently for a quick brunch with my hubby. They are still serving food on paper plates with plastic utensils with a limited menu, but we were able to get breakfast around 1pm which was nice. The avocado & spinach wrap was ok. Not much flavor and the portion was very small. We also got a breakfast panini on an everything bagel that fell flat. I would recommend sticking to the pastries. So our initial plan was to hit up Kerby Lane today to get the Strawberry Confetti Pancakes for breakfast. The line at Kerby Lane was ridiculously long, we should have known better for a late Sunday, but oh well! My husband found this place on the map close by and I have always seen these places and never went inside. I honestly thought it was just a bakery and I never did research on the place. It reminds me of a McAllisters Deli! You order at the counter, and are surrounded by all the delicious treats. The menus were big and vibrant and easy to understand. They have plenty of seating, and a large outdoor space out front. My husband and I both ordered medium coffees and the pancakes with bacon and eggs. YA'LL. I was SHOOK. Our plates came with 4 decent sized pancakes, 4 slices of bacon and at least 3 eggs. Our ticket was only $20! ARE YOU SHOOK!? BECAUSE OUR JAW DROPPED. The bacon was baked, but still tasty. The eggs were fluffy and light and the PANCAKES WERE LIKE CLOUDS. We left smiling ear to ear, and our Sunday was fantastic because we started it here. We will 100000% be back to try their lunch menu. Ordering for pick up is really hit or miss at this place. I ordered pancakes with bacon and eggs and I didn't get the bacon and eggs. I'm also missing butter and syrup. This has happened enough times that I stopped ordering. On several occasions they did not have a large cup when we ordered a large drink and instead of offering another size they just didn't include a drink at all. I ordered a soup waited minutes (they were not busy) only for them to come tell me they were out They offered me another drink...I already orders an americano and was given a latte instead. This place is really iffy. Occasionally the experience is decent. Unfortunately yesterday was not one of them. My wife and I placed our order at 11:41am. Then we waited. We had ordered a lemon bundt cake which we received at the time of placing our order. We sat for a while and finally succumbed to hunger and ate our dessert first. Then we waited some more. Finally, after a half hour of waiting I went to the order desk and asked what had happened to our order. After poking around at things behind the counter the two workers finally decided our order would be coming out "in a few minutes". When the order finally came out (at 12:23pm) my wife was informed that they were out of the soup she ordered. The funny thing is another customer sitting at a table near us (who came in after us) had already received the soup my wife ordered! Apparently she got the last bowl of it?!? When I asked the server what took so long I was told it was because of so many internet orders. Really?!?!! Internet customers are more important that in restaurant customers? Not the way I run my business. Then I asked to speak to the manager on duty. The server pointed to the other worker behind the counter and said that's who it is. She never bothered to go over and tell the manager we wanted to talk to them. There was certainly never an apology for the horrible service. Other things about this place. Their ice machine has been out for over a month. What they do is bring in containers from the back and give us a scoop to dispense the ice with. How something so important to the business can be left in disrepair for so long is beyond me. This place will have to be the only restaurant left in Texas before I will go in there again. read more

Come here for breakfast and pastries. Breakfast is consistently yummy: banana foster french toast and eggs. Bacon is usually way too crispy/hard so opt for the sausage instead. Don't come here if you want dinner or have food allergies. The chicken sandwich was too dry to ingest. Hard bread didn't make it any easier. At the counter we asked about nuts in their pastries and the female cashier made a scrunched face at me and announced that "all of their pastries have nuts in them." I've learned in cases where eating patrons have food allergies you should always request to speak to the manager about life threatening allergies and/or ask for the allergy list. They searched for about 10 minutes for something to no avail even asking a manager for help. Made me nervous so we neglected to order any pastries for my food allergy child. I ordered a coffee with my meal, and the Grubhub driver was very quick and amazing. However, the coffee was cold! There is no way that in the 10 minutes it took for the driver to bring my food, that the coffee got cold. I can tell it's old cold coffee. I'm thinking that since they close within an hour of me making the order, they just wanted to close and leave. They could have at least warmed it up! Very disappointed. Waited 20 mins in line just to be next to order. My Anaheim panini was suppose to have bacon and sausage. Came with only sausage (charged with bacon) my girlfriend and I finished our food and never got our hot chocolate or mint latte. When we asked for a refund, we waited ANOTHER 10 mins in line just for the cashier to ask that they can now make it........ The hot chocolate tasted like sewage water. I often don't like complaining or even asking when my food will come out but after 37 mins I decide to ask, or (so I tried) when I went up, I said "pardon me" , " excuse me" and was very much and ignored, (that all I said). I can definitely understand how annoying customers can get as used to work in the service industry myself, and I was also not getting paid enough to deal (certain people),and so not wanna to make a big deal I just stood back in silence getting ignored until the person finally looked at my number that I was holding and tossed me my food. Asked for a replacement and the second plate still had old food on it. Didn't receive half our order till half of us were almost finished eating.
