All I wanted was a nice fool-proof lunch, and I was dissatisfied. The chicken pesto sandwich was the only thing from my entire meal I would eat again. I ordered a side caesar salad and received a salad which consisted of fresh and old leaves. The chicken noodle soup was a full on disappointment. Canned Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup would be gourmet in comparison. The noodles and chicken were an interesting shade of brown, and one bite was enough for me. I met Jennifer the manager the evening before and promised her I would stop in. I was a bit pressed for time and decided to order lunch to go. I had a rushed morning and needed more coffee. The coffee was hot and all varieties were available during the noon hour which shows great attention to detail. They were busy and I noticed Jennifer moving between dining room, kitchen and order area keeping everything and everyone working at peak efficiency. She saw me in line and immediately recognized and talked to me. I ordered a panini sandwich and the awesome edamame salad they do. It was prepared quickly and I was soon on my way. The sandwich was perfectly pressed and grilled and had ample fillings. It was hot and delicious! The salad also delivered the crispy satisfaction I anticipated. I had napkins and utensils in the bag. Overall a great experience. The pastries and baked goods here are the centerpiece of a meal but I did not want my diet to go completely down the chute. Corner bakery is great everywhere I have dined and my high expectations were completely exceeded. I now have another go-to spot in Tyler when I am working here. read more

I ordered chicken noodle soup through WAITR. When it was delivered and I opened it I immediately noticed the foul smell. The soup was a mixture of fresh and old noodles and chicken. The old pieces are brown / gray. So discolored to the point that I had to call the store and ask if they used wheat noodles. They don't. The photos show it all. My husband and I occasionally come here for brunch and enjoy the outside patio. However, I never mind one bit calling the corner bakery cafe and ordering a coffee to go or an iced vanilla latte. Despite the fact that their parking lot sucks and they don't have a drive through I 100% would rather call them everyday for the rest of my life to order a to go coffee walk in to no line anytime of day pay for my coffee(s) sitting on the counter waiting for me unlike the Starbucks around the Loop corner where I would waste and hour of my life and be annoyed by the time I got a coffee that I don't even like that much. read more

I went for breakfast, so my review is based on that experience alone. I've heard their lunch and dinner is great, and I will more than likely come back here to try for myself. I was very impressed with the breakfast menu of this restaurant. They had great hearty options with healthy alternatives as well. I love that they have chicken apple sausage as a bacon alternative. I thoroughly enjoyed that absolutely every part of my breakfast panini was fresh; the eggs, the avocado, the tomatoes, the bread, heck even the cheese was real fresh sliced cheese instead of the normal "cheese alternative" most restaurants use. The chicken apple sausage was absolutely delicious. The interior of the restaurant was cozy as well. I did have one complaints: the bottom slice of half my panini was soggy from grease. Other than that everything was great. Would love to go back for breakfast. read more

I usually ALWAYS love Corner Bakery back home in Dallas, but this Corner Bakery is not very good at all.. First off, when I walked in it smelled so gross. The restaurant literally smelled of vomit which made nothing on the menu sound even remotely appetizing. Secondly, I stood at the counter for several minutes before I was approached by someone to take my order. Third, when I finally got my food the bread on my panini was burnt and my friends were missing parts of their order. Eating that bitter burnt bread was not the best experience. I was just so disappointed the whole time was there, and I hate giving places low ratings but this Corner Bakery definitely deserves it. read more

Well, I was about to give it a 5 star review for the FRENCH TOAST THAT WAS AMAZING, but as I was eating breakfast outside on a nice day- an employee decided he needed to pressure wash the deck. This really was impressive as thankfully I had already mostly finished my breakfast but the mist from the nasty deck flowing onto my food REALLY made me finished... Probably need to do your pressure washing on the closed days, or at NIGHT!!!!! read more

Stopped by for breakfast today and was very pleased with cleanliness, food, service and the friendly manager. We used to live in Orange County, CA and were familiar with the original style and quality of the Corner Bakery Cafe model. When they franchised, many of the stores we went to were lacking in quality and consistency. I am pleased to say that the Tyler store is spot on with what we used to love about the casual, quick dining cafe model. Our Anaheim Paninni and Spinach Breakfast Flat were both excellent and the coffee was hot and fresh. The entire place was spotless and the light background music was a pleasant change from the hard pounding noise that so many places subject their customers to. First time here. Tried the pesto cavatappi entree size since cafe size is a small bowl. It was surprisingly very good. Soft noodles, plenty of sauce, topped with a type of bread. The inside of the restaurant is decorated nicely with warm colors. It wasn't too busy so there was plenty of seating. Felt like a nice place to have a cup of coffee and sit and talk. Atmosphere is quiet. Price is about the same as mcallisters, and food selection is somewhat similar but a bit more gourmet at corner bakery. Lots of sweets available for purchase. Enjoyed the food and the environment. Will return and would recommend. Also free wifi available. read more

It is ideal for a light lunch or great breakfast if you are still needing a hot morning meal. I ate lunch and ordered the cafe size Spinach Salad. It included feta cheese, walnuts, and an assortment of good "stuff" or toppings. If I had been in the mood for a bit more I would have opted for the personally selected trio special. If I remember correctly you pick a soup and 2 signature side salads. Probably anything at lunch would put you out under just ten dollars. This location is good but traffic is a nightmare at certain times. Choose routes in and out cleverly. read more

What a great place! I'm getting better at getting into the parking lot for this place, & I wanted to check out more restaurants in the area that I can visit during my lunch breaks. I was here between 1-2pm, so it was kinda busy. A bit challenging to find a place to sit. The menu & layout remind me of a McAlister's. They even designate vegetarian-friendly menu items with a "(v)". This time I tried the California Grille Panini, a lemon bar, & hibiscus lemonade for $13.39. Not a bad price, & it was well worth it! The lemon bar was good, but it was about 4x6, & 1inch thick, which was a lot. Next time I'll have to remember to save half of it for later. The restrooms have 2 stalls in them, & seem to be well-maintained. But there was still a line (a family, I think), so I just washed my hands here. They even have some outdoor seating in some patio areas, but it was a little drizzly that day, so I stayed inside. I definitely hope to come back to this restaurant & try more menu items! read more

Went on a sat afternoon, slow, only 2 other customers . I had Mac & cheese & 1/2 chicken salad sandwich . Mac& cheese had a thin runny sauce poured over noodles, no taste , lukewarm . Took it back up to counter, all staff were just standing around goofing off, looked really pissed that I brought it up there, obviously just nuked it -so now it was just hot runny sauce - kraft does it better IMO. This place is great for a good breakfast, but with lunch and dinner I have a problem with. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and steak and cheese sandwich. When it was served It wasn't very hot, the spaghetti was fine, but the meatballs bothered me the most. They were dry, cold, and not very appetizing. Secondly the Steak and Cheese sandwich was in hotdog bread and the steak was great but they sprayed it all over with Easy Cheese. Other than that it was good, the employees were friendly and it seemed to be a clean place with a good vibe. I personally don't think this is the best Corner Bakery to go to though. read more

I've always loved corner bakery and was happy it was here when I moved here over a year ago. I have a slight monster cookie addiction lol. I usually stick with the uptown turkey sandwich, because it's bomb! The place has a slight smell, it's that usual smell I'm old restaurants (like Olive garden). I can't really pinpoint why or how the smell comes about. The last time I went there it had a sticky feel on the floor. Other than that, the food is good. read more
