Not sure why I've never written a review for Corner Beauty because I've been coming here for over 10 years. Unfortunately I have very difficult eyebrows and Linda has been the only person who is able to shape them well. I've been to other salons, but I've never left them satisfied. Even though I don't live in Arcadia anymore, I'll gladly drive back only for her. I've just had a gel manicure by Lynn. I'll admit I can be picky and indecisive at the same time. Lynn was patient and helped me pick out colors. I never felt rushed and she did a great job. I love coming to Corner Beauty because I always leave satisfied and pampered. Thanks ladies! My first experience at CB was not so good. The girl was new and didn't understand what I want. Three weeks later I went back and made an appointment with Kelly. I was so happy with the result. She talked to me and was super friendly and knew exactly what I wanted. Kelly was different because she actually took the time to talk to you and understand what you really want instead of giving you what she thinks you want. im super happy! read more

If you come please make appointments, don't do walk-ins. I came for lash extensions and I didn't make an appointment bc I had a event to go to the next morning. I came it and got a random older viet lady, she told me to wash my eyes and lay down. I told her it was my first time and that I wanted them long. So she began and I noticed she only used one tweezers and her hand, at this point I kinda knew it was gonna be bad already, she kept pulling my lashes and telling me they were too tiny and oily that she had a hard time. Ten mins in, she took the initiative and told me she just gonna do classic short bc it was too hard to do long cateye. 45 mins later she finishes and I look in the mirror n they look like whispy spider legs. I could see she didn't do a lot on the front of my eye so I asked if she could add hairs to the front of my lashes and she says "no,no..your hair to tiny, it's hard to do" .....i was so upset at this point I just wanted to leave and remove them at home. She legit just stuck one fake lash to 4 of my actual lashes and called it a day. I couldn't remove them so now I'm stuck with spider legs on my eyes. Overall upset w this place. There's only two young ladies there who were doing nice lashes, so I believe making a appointment is your best bet. read more

Saw online that there was a special yelp for bikini wax for just $35 so I decided to stop by. It was my first time and Tina was really nice and comforting. This review is for waxing only. I made a same day appointment and they were able to get me in. I was in need of a facial and eyebrows wax. I was very satisfied with the facial. My skin finally can breathe again. But when I saw my eyebrows after it was done, my heart dropped. I told the lady I wanted to clean up my eyebrows and a little trimmed. I didn't want it to be thin. Less than 5 mins later, it was finished. I got up and looked in the mirror. Not only was my eyebrows thin, but they are not evenly shaped and one is higher than the other. I told myself it's okay, i can draw it in and maybe it won't be too obvious. The next day my husband looked at me and said why are your eyebrows uneven and one side looks higher than the other. Now, if my husband noticed it, it must be bad. Now I'm crossing my fingers and hope my eyebrows will grow back as soom as possible. read more

I try never to go anywhere else or to go to anyone else, except Tina! Tina does a fabulous job on my lashes and they stay in very nicely. I leave looking beautiful! She knows exactly how many lashes to put in to make my eyes look great. Tina knows I like a natural look so she doesn't over do it, but instead nails it every time. I heard of her through a colleague in Santa Clarita. I live in West Hollywood and every mile I drive to slog through traffic to have Tina do my lashes is worth the time and effort. Her station is clean, she is friendly and makes me very comfortable. She remembers what I like even if I don't come for a couple of months! Got my eyebrows done today by Linda and she did a great job! Place was very clean and relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

First experience I came in for a lash extension and it was my first time here. She said it would be 40 minutes of me waiting with the chemicals on my eyes but i I waited an hour and forty minutes. you can see I have naturally long Volumous lashes which I loved but didn't stand up. Now my natural lashes are stubbly and weird. I was very sad and dissapointed with this as my intention was to save my eyelashes from damage by not getting extensions. I got my lash lift here 2 months ago (I believe it was Tina) and it was terrible. Yes its $40 and cheap, but it irritated my eye and resulted in a stye on one side (I never had one before). That same eye was way over curled...to the point where I could feel the lashes whenever I blinked. I don't usually leave negative reviews but thought I'd share since I'm STILL suffering from the perm. I'd recommend going elsewhere! read more

Let me first say that Linda offers awesome customer service. Super friendly and talkative. Mary,. the other lady who works here is awesome as well. With that said, I was not happy with the full set nor the waxing I had done here. The nail lifted off the nail bed within 3 days and started to chip. I called Linda and she agreed to fix it for free. That fix meant just shaving off the lifted edges and painting over with gel. The final result of the fix was worse than before because some dust (?) got trapped in the gel and made the top of my nails lumpy. Also, some of the nails didn't come out glossy and my nails look really uneven. The waxing job wasn't up to par either. She took the time to pull out individual hairs with a tweezers after the waxing but wasn't able to get all of it because some of the hair didn't pull out by the roots. They just tore at the surface and hair growth was visible the next day. I was also super bumpy for like 2 weeks. I did get a pedicure here by Mary and that was amazing. It's been almost three weeks and my toes still look great! read more

This review is only for the waxing services. Let me first say that the owner seems very genuine. I have, however, received significantly better waxing services for similar amounts of cash elsewhere. I tried this place once because I did not feel like driving out to the Westside. The redness and bumps that stayed around for the next few days served as a reminder that some things are worth the extra effort. read more

My go to nail and lash place! It was clean and everyone was friendly. They made me feel comfortable and even did my nails as I was getting my eyes lashes done for the first time. I will definitely be coming back. Only reason why not a five star was that I was expecting the spa chair treatment with the massager but not sure if maybe I misscommunicated that piece. **edit July 2014** So they have new spa chairs! I love my lashes!!!. Tiffany was able to schedule me last minute for new set of extensions. I'm so glad I found this place near by. They have different types of style and lash length. Tiffany is super fast ... 45 mins for the whole process! I had tried many places and usually it takes more than an hour. room is quite relaxing and because of her delicacy, I was able to fall asleep during our session. She provided a small fan at the end to dry the glue and to get rid of any unpleasant sensation. Which I can appreciate very much! Now I can eliminate the early morning hassle of getting ready by not having to line my eyes or use mascara. I will definitely come back for my monthly fills!!! Highly recommend Tiffany! read more

I was referred here by a friend. But first, lets get simple things out of the way. Parking: PLENTY, it is a big parking lot. Service: It is okay.... So as I said before, I was referred by a friend. It was also my first time getting lash extension. I did not know what size to get and whatnot. And, I liked a more natural look. So when the lady finished, and I looked in the mirror, I thought I looked like an alien. (Maybe it is because it is my first time...). I basically did not like it.... I did not know what to do. Thankfully, the young gal in the other stall heard me and possibly heard the disappointment in my voice and asked me if I would like to cut it. I did not know it was an option! So I instantly took that offer. The original lady helped me cut it. During the ordeal, I don't know if it is normal or not, but there was some burning sensation. Maybe the glue have not settle in. But I did not like that sensation. The young gal later on helped me to straighten it out and it looked better. The whole extension deal though... it looks pretty... but toward the end, as your own lashes grows out, it kind of hurts. I called to schedule an appointment with Linda since she's so famous, she's really easy to work with. Since I was been so busy with my wedding, she coordinated with my time. That's a thumbs up already. She asked if I had any allergy or irritation on my eyes to make sure I was good for my big days. As soon I saw her, she showed me different kinds of curls and gave me suggestions on my eyelashes for my big day. We choose a natural yet a little bit dramatic ones, coz I wanted my eyes look big enough. She was really skillful, within half an hour, my left eyes were almost done, she asked me to look at the mirror to see if I like it before she continued. During the procedure, I didn't smell any heavy chemical from the glue, that's a plus. I hate those glue smells which will my my eyes tearing. After most of the work being done, I said wow on the mirror, but Linda still took time to make my eyelashes look fuller. She's really patient. The most amazing part is the eyelashes look so soft which I had never had before. So on my big day, I didn't even need any fate eyelashes on top, and my eyes still look big and comfortable. I have been coming here for almost 2 yrs now and I used to love their service. I even recommended them to my friends. Most of my friends come here for eyelashes. I dont know what happened when i came back recently, I felt like they did pretty fast (maybe to accomodate more customers waiting) and is even lesser than I expected for $65 lashes.I complained that is not that I wanted, its not full enough. She just brushed me off and told me my lashes are thin so she couldnt put more. She didnt put both end of my lashes. I can really see.And have compared mine to my friends. I can really see the difference from what I had from other salon than them & even cheaper than them.I am very disappointed that I felt like she just want me to go back sooner so they can refill more to make my lashes fuller. Came by yesterday for eyelash extension and all I can say is a totally love the experience at Corner Beauty. Linda asked me all sort of questions before we started and said that I should start out with her trial promotion ($50) since I've never had any type of extensions at all. She wanted me to me comfortable with it first and that I wouldn't rub off my real eyelashes. She also said that my eyes are small (I'm petite) so the trial would actually still give me a full look. And if i choose to, I can make it look fuller later on. So I agreed and we started, the process was totally painless. I have very sensitive eyes and it never stung or watered. Linda was very gentle and was careful every step of the way to make sure I was comfortable. She even fixed one of the lashes that I thought was a bit high up, Everyone who saw me noticed my lashes. But, I still wanted a fuller look, so I called her this morning to see if she can squeeze me in, and she did. She gave them a bit more length and thickness. She even filled in the tiny bald spot I had on my lash line! I love my lashes even more! Linda is very sweet and professional with lashes. I will be coming back here frequently and wouldn't try anywhere or anyone else! Warning: Eyelash extensions can be very fun and addicting.
