But the Bacon, Egg and Cheese in it--it was okay--nothing I would run back for. With a cup of Tropicana--the total came to a whopping $10+ They made me feel like I was back in LA. The woman at the order counter was as edgy as can be. There was a couple in back of me anxious to order and I did not know which bagel I wanted so I told them to go ahead I am still looking. They cut in front and go up to order and the order clerk yells at me: "You are next!..you two (referring to the couple I told to go ahead)--step back!" Hey, it's NY--it would not be the same without the attitude. Capeesh? You should have seen her expression when I asked her how much is a bottle of water? Free easy parking in front, table seating inside if you can find one available. I sat at the long counter on a stool looking outside.

I reviewed the menu, and it looked like there were a good few options, but what stood out to me was the. Turnpike sandwich. Which is prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and roasted Peppers. I really enjoy prosciutto sandwiches, so I decided to get one, and I wasn't disappointed. Since then, I've ordered from here several times for my own meetings, and I've even gone to pick it up in person myself. I've had a friendly experience with the staff, and my orders have always been ready on time. It's a nice little deli, and I will continue to patronize it for my lunch needs. I think the prices are pretty reasonable. $13 for a hero seems more than reasonable to me. If you've gone to Jersey Mike's or Subway, you're getting a far worse value sandwich compared to what you get here. All in all, a worthwhile sandwich shop for locals that should fulfill your lunch needs.

I unfortunately don't get down here nearly as often as I'd like, but I definitely help 'empty' their challah racks when I'm in the area! You grab a large brown paper bag, walk through the place and fill it with freshly made bagels and breads, and then pay what seems like some arbitrary low number they come up with while at checkout! When I was growing up, we'd go in here at 4-5 a.m. when returning from the city and purchase even 'fresher' bagels and breads if that's even imaginable! How you can still get this close to production and touch and take yourself is beyond me, but I don't care! I LOVE this place! Long live Rockland Bakery for never changing! FYI, Don't leave without ordering a few sweets from the bakery side! Again, you won't believe what you're paying for what you're getting!

Unfortunately, it was pretty flavorless. The crumb, which appeared to be relatively open, was also very bland. Neither had much chew. The cream cheese was pretty standard. The everything topping itself needed more garlic, onion, and salt. Service was fine, place was empty. Price was typical of an everything bagel with cream cheese. Would not eat again.

Reality punched me in the face. this place was worse then mediocre. Granted, I arrived at 10:05 a.m., after the morning Rush, but the coffee was so thick it was more like sludge than it was Java. Hard to believe it could get that sledging in the short time between the rush hour and when I got there. I was excited when I saw Green Mountain Coffee, and very soon let down by the sludge that poured into my cup. By 10:05 a.m. they were out of about 85% of the types of bagels that had places in their case, leaving me far fewer choices. I got the last everything bagel (they had empty bins for whole-wheat-everything as well as egg-everything - but both were empty) - leading me to believe of the sellout might have been a sign of greatness. Instead the disgusting thing that I was served was yet another punch to the face. The inside was doey and undercooked and the outside had color but no crust. I ordered cream cheese and barely got enough of a schmear to even show a ripple of white between the sliced halves. My friend who was dining with me ordered a cinnamon raisin toasted with cream cheese. He said his Bagel was okay but asked where the cream cheese was. He also purchased a container of juice thereby avoiding the coffee. Long story short I won't be back. Especially because the Dunkin Donuts down the road at least puts cream cheese on their crappy bagel and makes the coffee fresh. I will leave off on a positive note though and note that the place was very clean including and especially the bathroom - it was immaculate. Good if you got to go, bad if you need a coffee or to get a bagel.
