I cannot believe I didn't review this place sooner. The Italian deli is among the best I have ever frequented, and from the moment I walked in, everything felt authentic. From the fresh ingredients to the welcoming atmosphere. Every visit has been a great experience, and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots for classic Italian specialties. My favorite was the eggplant sandwich on semolina. I will go down stating easily the top 3 best eggplant I have ever tasted in life. Efficient moving lines no matter how busy they are. All sandwiches and hot meals that I have gotten from Munno's have been superior than any other deli in the area. Came in to grab a bite to bring back to work. There is plenty of street parking. Just remember to have some change As you need to pay in the meter. Arrived about noon and there had to be at least a dozen patrons in the store. They were appropriately staffed. They offer a wide variety of hot food items to be purchased for lunch. It's almost like a buffet behind glass and your able to create your own meal that they package for you. I came in to get soup (Italian wedding) and after seeing the display of food, I also had to get some sautéed broccoli rabe. The man that was helping me with my order engaged in friendly banter. He offered bread with the soup as well. The small soup and small container of broccoli rabe came to about $12. Both were delicious! Will be back for sure! read more

I have never come across such rude people at any food establishment like I have today at Munnos. I placed an order for pickup. I arrive to the deli and ask if I can pay for my order. I was told I must stand on line to be serviced. This made no sense to me as I placed my order and it was sitting on a shelf getting cold while I wait on the long line to pay for my food (not placing an In person order) Now once I make it to my turn after being behind almost 10 people, I'm asked if I need help, before I could get words out of my mouth, the owner decided to "tell me" oh ur being helped already and moved onto the woman behind me. If I wanted to wait on a long line to order and pay for my food. I wouldn't have called in a pickup order. Thank God my bf stepped inside the deli wondering what was taking so long and was able to pay without waiting on line. So unorganized. I was appalled the workers who addressed me wouldn't even look me in the race while being rude. My coworkers and I order from here so often and now I'm completely turned off from this place. read more

We were driving through NJ and stoped to get a sandwich at Munno's.I told a guy that I am not from here and don't know what is good. I definitely didn't want Italian combo, you can get it anywhere. This is the absolute lunch spot to go in Pearl River. A huge selection of hot foods as well as regular deli sandwiches and a ton of different pasta salads etc. It's a bit on the pricier side but the place is always packed so nobody seems to mind. Got a large tin of food today (penna ala vodka, meatballs and chicken) needless to say I am so full I don't know how much work I'll be doing this afternoon. They also do an amazing job catering. Ordered a Cobb salad and a turkey sandwich one afternoon. The salad was delicious and the portion was huge. The chicken wasn't dried out, which I find to be an issue with a lot of deli salads. The turkey sandwich was great too. Had lots of meat and cheese. When I walked in they had a significant amount of hot foods that were ready to serve. The food smelled delicious and was extremely popular with the crowd. Don't get intimidated by the amount of people there during the lunch hours, the line moves pretty quick! read more

We just had Munnos cater for our party on Saturday and the food was amazing as always. The delivery guy was great and even helped us take water out of the trays that we accidentally overfilled before he got there lol. My family uses Munno's for every family party. We actually over order because we love the leftover's. Our usual order consists of penne vodka, chicken champagne, roasted potatoes, eggplant rolatini, small antipasto platter, and Baby Kaiser sandwhiches. The Baby Kaiser sandwiches, especially the eggplant, roasted peppers and fresh mozzarella, is ordered in abundance. I convinced my mother to try the chicken champagne and now she orders more of that than the chicken franchese. As for my sweet tooth, I get the rice pudding and the bread pudding. The bread pudding......WOW. They should open up another location in Westchester since my sister always gets compliments on the food. read more

Food was delicious. The 2 stars is for the fact that they wouldn't deliver $150 order, during lunchtime. Medical offices have a very small window in which to have lunch and resume with patients. I gave them 3 options for delivery time, and they wouldn't accommodate. I physically picked up the catering order myself, and was scolded by a young man behind the counter that "THERE IS ONE LINE". So I proceeded to wait 10 minutes in line for a transaction that took 30 seconds. Not a great experience. read more

Reasonably decent food for an Italian deli. However, the service is very uneven. Was treated quite rudely on a number of occasions because I was not standing in the right place. On another occasion, I ordered a couple of hundred dollars of food for a poker game and was treated quite well by one of the counter guys. Could not have been more helpful in helping me figure out how much I needed to order given the amount of people attending the game. However, someone else needed to but in to make sure I would come back and pick it up and pay. Really? Offered to pay in advance but was told it was not necessary. Not sure why I had to deal with such nonsense. Went back a few weeks later and was treated quite poorly. Told counter person I was having a poker game with 7 people and needs a mixes tray of sandwiches and sides. He was just rude and unhelpful. Time before, except for questioning whether I would come back, was painless. I left because life is too short. Called another Italian deli close by in Jersey and they could not have been more accommodating. Told him how many folks were coming and asked for some advice. Suggested what may work. Had trays of food made in 45 minutes or so. No asking whether I would show up and pay. A much more pleasant experience. As the rating says, as good as it gets. I came across Munno's a few years back in my travels. I am in the car daily and travel all over the tai-state area so when I find a winner I always go back. Now any time I am in the area and it's lunch or early dinner time it's Munno's. From the delicious breads to the cut-to-order cold cuts they make a great sandwich. I watched the guy making my sandwich today and the slicer had a serving scale on it. When he was done slicing the prosciutto, hot capicola, and the pepperoni there was a half pound of meat on the paper. Then he added a couple of slices of Provolone. Wow. The prices are not cheap but that kind of quality two-meal sandwich with all the veggies included is great value. Nice people too, a good mix of experienced guys and a couple of young ones learning the ropes everyone tries to please. Worth the trip. read more

Lived in New City for 50 yrs, started coming hers about 3 yrs ago now live in pearl River the food is always spot on, from chicken cordon bleu, all the soups, pastas you won't find a bad thing in this deli, even the sandwhichs are top notch.
