So my husband ordered and devoured the spicy chicken and is now currently throwing upstairs moaning and groaning. I called them simply to report it and to be careful. Their response? "We make a lot of food and I eat it too and it's always fresh and no one complains". I said IM COMPLAINING ! And BE CAREFUL! You can say and insist on whatever you want but someone is barfing even now as I type this as a direct result of eating your food. What you should have said that wouldn't have pissed me off- "I'm so sorry, we do work hard to make sure the kitchen is held to the highest standards. We're very sorry he's ill". That's it! Casual spot to grab some Korean fusion food in Woodland Hills. I came by for a late lunch around 3 pm on Wednesday, and it wasn't crowded at all. They have both indoor and patio seating. You order first at the counter, and then they'll bring the food out to you. The menu is very diverse and has something for everyone, from burgers to tacos to salads to wings to rice plates. They're known for their kalbi burger ($11.99), so I got that. My friend got the crispy chicken burger ($10.99). No sides as we weren't super hungry. I thought the kalbi burger was good but a little too sweet. The beef slices are marinated in a sweet sauce (sweeter than normal kalbi imo), and then it's served on Hawaiian buns which are also naturally sweet. So overall my impression of the burger is that it's sweet. Still, I'm glad I tried it. My friend liked his chicken sandwich and appreciated that it was actually spicy. read more

My absolute favorite thing off their menu. Fries are krispy beef has a nice sweet flavor to it, very tender. They're topped with a delicious sauce and jalapeños. I DoorDashes my order so I cant tell how the employees were, however this is a spot I plan to check out soon in person. read more

We've been here once before, and my daughter has been asking for it since. We were close by and decided to get it again. The lady working the register was so friendly and welcoming. She kept giving my daughter treats after we ordered. :) We got the BBQ chicken plate mild and it was plenty for my daughter and I to share and be full. My bf and I have only tried their other location in Van Nuys but due to the awful parking lot, we never went back but their food was delicious! Didn't know they had another location that is way more convenient, bigger shopping center parking lot, and overall better location in Woodland Hills. We decided to drop by on a Friday evening after work and were greeted by friendly staff and I believe one of them was also the owner. He was very nice and made sure we had everything and even asked if we needed extra stuff when he handed us our food to go. Great menu! So many Korean bbq inspired items and even some small bites like mozzarella sticks and such. I definitely want to come back and try their other menu items! Lots of nice seating and they even had bar seating that faced Ventura so you had some kind of view. My bf got the hungry boy with a side of fries and I got the Kalbi burger. We took it home to enjoy, food came out really quick as well. The amount of food you get for the price is well worth it! The bun is something I want to rave about because it is SUPER soft and literally melts in your mouth. Nothing about it was dry and the meat was perfectly cooked. I was excited to try this place walking in but after trying it, I wasn't blown away. I ordered the "Kalbi Burger" which felt more like a Kalbi Beef Sandwich. Calling it a Burger is misleading, I thought there was gonna be a burger patty and Kalbi beef on top but I should've read what's in it before lol Flavors were alright, I was expecting more Korean flavors, tasted bland. I confess I wanted to go here because I was tickled by the idea of a restaurant called "Corner Grill" that is smack-dab in-between two other restaurants-- and not on a corner at all. I actually came here a while back for a yelp elite event and just realized I have yet to come back and properly review this place on its own. First off, the owners are absolutely lovely people. It's a married couple who once owned Osaka in chatsworth many moons ago. So it was nice to find them after all these years as I was a regular there back in the day. As for Corner Grille, I just love the variety in the menu and the various forms in which they utilize Korean bbq. I've had the burger and this time I tried the fries. So good. Also got the wings - original hot - and they were so meaty. There's something here for everyone and it comes out nice and fresh. The store itself is spacious and clean and next to a big parking lot on the corner of Topanga canyon and Ventura. I remember back in the day when it was Dickies BBQ. Nice place to eat for lunch or during the weekend. All in all, I look forward to coming here more often and trying all the things on the menu. Highly recommend. read more

Have had their kalbi burger $11.49 previously, and it was sweet, savory.. a perfection combination of flavors. The meat is thinly sliced - hard to tell if it was actually kalbi (short ribs). The chicken wasn't oily at all, and kept the crunch even after sitting in the container for a bit. The only downside was that I had gotten extra spicy and it was NOT spicy at all lol. There aren't that many places that will sell you real kalbi. If you want real kalbi you have to go into a "sit down" Korean restaurant and that is a pain when you just want kalbi now. This place reminds me of the types of places you get in Hawaii. And as a Hawaiian, this brings me joy to find this place in Woodland Hills. The Kalbi is the real deal, it has the bone, it's got the right marinade and it's cooked with char. I will be back for sure. The BBQ chicken is also really good, with a ton of flavor in it. I wish they made a mixed plate of chicken and Kalbi. Eating all kalbi can be a lot, and if I order the chicken only...well I don't get Kalbi. Do you guys offer a mixed plate? Could I do this??? I love this place!!! I used to go to the one in Panorama City until I found out the original owner moved to Woodland Hills - this location is so much better. My favorite is the Kalbi burger, but will get the Korean bbq plates (chicken, pork, or ribs) depending on my mood. I ordered the KBB beef, and as soon as I opened it, the food smelled so bad that I completely lost my appetite. I politely told the owner that the food had a strong, unpleasant smell. It's good for me because I live in West Valley! Parking is plentiful in the back. It's in the same plaza as Sprouts and other businesses. We usually get the chicken cutlets, hungry boy, and Kalbi burger. The Kalbi burger is the epitome of Korean fusion reminding of you a beef brisket sandwich with a Korean kick. The sauce is delicious. Everything was great - the kalbi burger was a favorite, but the pizza was different and good too. We also ordered fries which came out piping hot. The owners (?) were there and everyone was so friendly. The place was incredibly clean and attractive inside. I recently came across this gem of a place in the valley. It is a place with my favorite comfort foods including Korean BBQ Short Ribs plate, Kalbi Burger, Korean Tacos, and more! It is a definite place that offers a fusion taste bud love affair! Their menu is expansive and includes other comforting foods with a Hawaiian flare influence including Chicken Cutlet plate, Chicken Teriyaki, Grilled Salmon, Cajun Shrimp, wings, and more. My ultimate favorite is their Korean Tacos that come filled with Korean BBQ beef, pickled onions, shredded cabbage, and their special spicy sauce. I like getting the medley of their Korean Tacos so that I can get a taste of their Korean beef, chicken, fish, and shrimp variety. I absolutely love this place because it makes me feel kindered to my Hawaiian relatives in Oahu while staying rooted with my Korean center. I really wanted to like this place. I walked in around 4pm and there was nobody in the restaurant. There was 2 more customers after I received my food. I noticed that it was a little warm inside with, what I can only assume where the owners sitting in the corner of the room. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, though the cashier called it bbq chicken even though the menu board showed teriyaki chicken. With a drink it came out to $20 and change. A little pricey for what you get. This would have been $10-$12 easily before minimum wage increased to $20/hr and inflation. Waited a few minutes and I was served a side salad. I do have to say that the side salad is more than you usually get at most places. It was still fresh and crispy. The bbq chicken came out and it looked more like orange chicken instead of the sliced pieces you see in the menu and like most other teriyaki places I've been to. Took my first bite and the chicken was tender, but was it was dry sauce wise. I didn't bother asking for extra teriyaki sauce as I figured they would charge me extra for it. So I continued eating and it didn't get any better. The bowl of rice it came with was mushy. I'm assuming they added too much water to it. I basically ate half and asked for a box to take out the rest. At this point, I asked for extra sauce and the girl told me $.50. I declined and while I was refilling my soda, she came and gave me the sauce, no charge. I thought that was very nice of her. But unfortunately, the teriyaki chicken was not great. There's a way better place in Canoga Park at Bowl & Burger. This place gives you extra sauce at no charge and it's a bigger size too. They also add green onions to their chicken.
