Cornbread

We visited this BBQ spot to celebrate my cousin's birthday, and it ended up being such a great experience! The restaurant is tucked away in a neighborhood and feels like it was once a family home that has been transformed into a cozy restaurant. From the moment we walked in, it had a welcoming, homey atmosphere that made us feel comfortable right away. They start every meal with complimentary cornbread, and it was absolutely delicious warm, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick off our meal. The food was satisfying, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you receive. One of the things we loved most was the ambiance. On Saturdays, they have a live band, which adds so much charm and energy to the experience. They also offer al fresco dining, making it a wonderful place to enjoy a meal outdoors with family and friends. To make the celebration even sweeter, the staff surprised my cousin with ice cream for her birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch and made her feel special. If you're looking for delicious BBQ, a relaxed atmosphere, live music, and friendly service, this hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. We'll absolutely be back!

This is $70 worth of ribs. Won't be ever going back again!!!

We just ordered 2 racks ribs. For $70! These are the smallest racks of ribs I have ever seen. Along with probably the worst ribs I have ever eaten. They were so dry my family didn't want them. So many better rib places in the valley. Tried this because of the reviews. I think all the reviews are either family or close friends. Beware!!!! Won't ever go back again!

Burned bread and old tritip meat. Skimped portion compared to my friend sitting across from me.

So I have come here often. First time the beef ribs were decent. Decided to come back and have their tri tip sandwhich. 3 separate times the tritip sandwhich was ok. Yes just ok. Well I decided to come back and try their pulled pork sandwich. The pulled pork was clearly reheated and not fresh. What ever. I get it. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do. Decided to give them another shot. Came in for another tritip sandwhich. This time the place smelled like something was burning. Lo and behold they bring out my sandwich with burned bread and literally the last scrapes of the tri-tip. Portion was half of that on my friend's plate sitting across from me. This was during lunch hour. The sandwich was horrible. I have come here enough to feel comfortable to let the old lady who runs the place know of my subpar experience. Her reply, "I will let my boss know." Cool. No shame. Again it's what it is. Finally today was the straw that broke this camels back. I walk in and there is no one at the counter to sit anyone. People are walking in, going thru the patio and to the back dining room and sitting down. I ask the one server if I can sit anywhere and she tells me to go back to the front. I said there was no one there. She said someone will be right there. I go back to the front and there was a gal at the counter. I told her I would like to sit inside and guess what she says... just go ahead and sit your self. Clearly the left hand is not speaking to the right hand and the kitchen staff does not care in the quality of food they put out. I have been in the BBQ business for many years. This is a place I will not be returning to nor recommending to anyone. Please do better rib ranch.

The food is good. The ambience is good. Paisley, is, the best! Note: Boss sauce on smack&cheese

Food is decent. Nice atmosphere. Formally in the space Houston's was. They pretty much kept the decor.

Parking can be found in the Topanga Village garage and is free for the first 1.5 hours. My friend and I came Friday afternoon around 4 pm for their happy hour. Normally happy hour is on their patio, but they seated us in their regular dining area, not sure why. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. It was a nice day out, so we requested outdoor. Unfortunately that meant I was bitten by mosquitos a couple times. All cocktails on the happy hour menu are between $10-11. I got the Boston Sour and my friend got the Social Mule. We both liked our drinks. For food, we shared the following from the happy hour menu: Green goddess hummus ($8 hh) - pretty good, but I wish there was more pita to go with the hummus! Crispy chicken sliders ($11 hh) - ginormous chicken sliders! Would highly recommend! Meatball sliders ($11) - good but on the smaller side, especially when placed side by side with the chicken sliders lol Blackened salmon tacos ($11 hh) - also good, though I found the salmon a bit bland Presentation for the drinks and all the dishes was beautifully done. Everything is plated nicely even for happy hour dishes.

Paris, our server, was an absolute ray of sunshine. We decided to share a variety of dishes, which turned out to be the perfect way to experience the menu. I don't eat meat, but my fellow diners could not stop talking about the Braised Short Rib Rolled Lasagna. The Lemon Gnocchi was light and delicate, the beet salad was fresh and beautifully balanced, and the Crispy Squash Blossoms stuffed with ratatouille were absolutely delicious. The Cold Hamachi Aguachile was probably the most interesting dish of the night. It's almost like a fish snow cone, which sounds odd until you try it. My mom would call it "moreish" because every bite makes you want another. The Jumbo Prawns à la Plancha were also excellent. But the standout for me was the Eggplant Parmesan. It was completely over the top in the best possible way. If you told me to come back and order nothing but the eggplant and a martini, I'd happily call that dinner. What really stood out beyond the food was the pacing. Dishes arrived at just the right rhythm, the cocktails were excellent, and the playlist somehow added to the atmosphere without competing with the conversation. I took photos of everything, which should tell you how beautiful the food was, but the best part was simply having a genuinely fun evening with friends. Great food, great service, and a restaurant I'll absolutely be back to.

I looked over the menu ahead of time and was set on what I wanted but it was unfortunately an old menu and the item I wanted wasn't available anymore. Some kind of shrimp scampi pizza which sounded amazing! Hope they bring it back someday since our waitress Crystal said it was very good. I ended up getting just a margherita pizza for myself which I ended up being too full to eat because we filled up on the appetizers: spinach and artichoke dip and burrata which were both fantastic. The others got the hot chicken sandwich and french dip which they also really enjoyed. After we finished eating, it did take a while for the staff to come back around and get us boxes and the check. We also asked for more of the chocolate sticks they give you at the end but the lady who we asked just looked at an empty tin and said they were out which we were sure they had more for other guests somewhere. Overall still a great spot and would love to come back and try their other menu items. Definitely a rare find inside this department! IG: @ammysalamii
