We walked into corner kebab after a long drive from the SF Bay Area on our way to LA. We were famished and also took the opportunity to get out of the traffic. I looked at some reviews complaining about the service, but it might have been because one had to go to the counter to place an order. To us, it seemed like there was no one to take orders at the table. The person at the counter was really nice and friendly. We got two full plates (chicken soltani and chicken kebab) which was way too much food for the two of us. The food was absolutely delicious. We also got two bowls of lentil soup on the house! We were stuck in traffic and got off the freeway, and just lucked out with Corner Kabob. The food was fresh, bright and flavorful. The people were friendly, and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. I had the veggie kabob with a side of dogma and greek feta salad. The veggies (mushrooms, zucchini, sweet peppers and a tomato) were grilled perfectly - hot, crispy on the outside, with nice softness on the inside. The pita was warm and fresh. I finally got to try this place for the first time and it did not disappoint. The interior was beautiful, great ambiance ! I myself am a very picky eater and get iffy about trying new restaurants, but this place had spectacular food ! Jasmine took my order and was patient and very helpful when it came to debating what would be the best choice for a side dish, she recommended the cucumber yogurt and it was delicious ! The manager Armond was extremely polite and welcoming when we picked up our order as well. I came in here and the man behind the counter wasn't friendly at all and gave bad vibes during the transaction. I had a seat and everything looked sanitized. The inside was very fresh so I stayed to eat my (Corner Special). The chicken tasted and smelled exactly like a Slim Jim beef jerky. The beef was good but that's it. The rice had no flavor and I hated their potato salad. I enjoyed the jalapeño and roasted tomato. Pita bread did not taste like any quality at all. I moved to San Fernando 8 years ago & I used to work at the Vallarta in the shopping center, I decided to give this place a try & I have been coming back ever since. Nice place to eat at or good food for take out. Come here often. I've tried a few plates and nothing has disappointed. I usually get the chicken with Greek salad and yogurt. Perfect hidden Gem in the city of San Fernando! Preggo cravings led us on a search for Mediterranean, so naturally, I assumed we were heading toward Glendale or Sunland, where there are tons of options. But before we got too far we ran a quick local search and Corner Kebab popped up. I usually shy away from small locations because I don't like to feel claustrophobic but we decided to give it a shot anyway. MUCH to my surprise the inside was HUGEEE (for a small restaurant). Super comfy and above all, SOO CLEAN! We obsessed about this. All 4 of us had plenty to eat with just two of the corner special plates (of course we left room for the gelato sandwiches ). The owner at the register was very patient and made the perfect suggestions for what we should have! Give it a try, you won't be sorry!!! Corner Kebob does a lot of take our business so it's popular with locals. Not the best Greek food I've eaten but ok. I would rate it 3.5 stars. From the mostly English names Flores the sides, I'm not sure if the locals are familiar with Greek food. Plates come with lentil (red?) soup. Nice and hearty, not a lot of flavor but ok. Plates all come with lots of basmati rice and a pita and two sides. They have a lot of sides, would be great if they offered three slides in smaller quantities. Rice was good, not well flavored, but that's how I like rice, nice and simple. Pita was very flat, not fluffy, and toasted. Not sure if this is the true traditional style or not, but it broke when you folded it in half with your meat inside and was on the dry side. Hubby had the gyro meat plate. Tradition gyro beef/lamb combo meat, so meat was as expected. He picked the traditional salad and hummus for his sides. Hummus was smooth and tasty. Salad was good. I had to give him some of my tzatziki since it didn't come with the plate. Lamb kebab meat was dry. I should have specified medium rare... taste was good. I tried the pickled turnip. Not what I expected - colored a light pink, which was a surprise. It was very sour but good. I don't think I'll get it again as a side (too much since it's so sour). Also got the yogurt with cucumber (I had to ask if it was tzatziki since it's called yogurt with cucumber) as a side, which was a good thing since the lamb was dry and there was no other sauce. Cucumber was chunky in the tzatziki, different but good. Overall ok. I may try here again if I'm in the area but will specify how I want my meat cooked. ISI come here again I would try the dolma and baba ghanoush, which they called eggplant dip. Nice clean large restaurant. read more

Ordered this for delivery to my home through Grubhub. I was a little nervous because Grubhub can be hit or miss. Delivery was great. My food arrived still hot and packaged nicely. (Thanks GrubHub!) The food: I ordered the falafel plate and the beef lule kabob plate with hummus, corn salad and shirazi salad. My falafel plate was good, not great. The falafel pieces are big which is fine if the falafel were a bit more moist. They started falling apart quickly as I sunk my fork into them, which is why I docked a star. The taste is great and so were the hummus and shirazi. The pita was great, warm and soft. My grandfather ate the beef and he very much enjoyed his plate along with the corn salad. WE LOVE CORNER KEBAB! And moreover, we love Armen and the crew! From the get go, he has always remembered us, our names, my voice on the phone, what we like to eat, how we like it, etc. We have always laughed and joked on the phone and hit it off from the start! The food is THE BEST of this kind I've ever had. The meat is always TOP QUALITY (and I'm very picky with meat I hate chewy bits and gross parts) and is always moist, fresh, and perfectly cooked. I love the ground beef luleh kabob and the whole pieces white meat chicken kabob! He always makes me a plate of that just how I like it! The regular beef kabob (where it's whole pieces that look like steak) is INCREDIBLE as well and my bf loves it. For sides, the pasta salad and the cucumber yogurt are delicious! I just love the owner of this place so much. (You'll talk to him when you order on the phone.) He's just such a sweet, nice man with such a warm, sincere, kind energy that you can feel! (And call me weird, but that's important to me!) Also, whoever cooks KNOWS what they're doing, and prepares the food with love! It is always top-notch and perfectly prepared. This place is very clean with a nice interior and great decor. The staff was very friendly and the food was good, they offer a complimentary lentil soup of you dine in. It was tasty. I ordered the chicken kebab plate with two sides and it comes with rice and pita. Most places give you two sides and also give you a spoonful of hummus but here hummus is considered a side. I also was kind of sad that they don't give the grilled/roasted chile and tomato like most Mediterranean spots do.
