    Lamb Kebab Plate
    Aprille C.

My husband found this place for me looking for salads. They hardly had any here. The woman at the counter wasn't very friendly or helpful. There is parking behind the building. We both ordered shish kabob plates. I got lamb and he got chicken. Mine was $28! I got fries and tzatziki sauce. He got rice and a hot herb sauce(that was almost too hot for him!). Both came with little cucumber salads & pickled onions that didn't seem pickled. My lamb was very good. I'm not a fan of hummus. But I tried it and then gave it to him. He liked his chicken but says it was not as good as my lamb. Kabob places are everywhere. We don't need to rerun here. Sorry. Inside is very tiny so we ate on the patio.

Very disappointing experience at The Grill Stories. The young cashier had a rude attitude and was not welcoming. We were the only customers sitting on the patio, yet the soccer game on the TV was extremely loud. When I politely asked if the volume could be lowered, the request was not handled professionally. The food was disappointing. Much of it was dry and lacked flavor. In fact, the rice was so dry that my elderly mother choked while eating, which was very upsetting for our family and completely ruined the meal. The only item we enjoyed was the lamb. Overall, between the poor customer service, loud atmosphere, and dry food, this was not a pleasant dining experience. We left disappointed and will not be returning. And paying $110 for these was insane. Value of 40$

Picture this...Sunday in San Fernando...the warm Santa Ana winds blowing, streets buzzing with people and everyone eating brunch outdoors... There we were partaking in the location with the aroma of the Mediterranean food wafting in the air...Our mouths watering in anticipation...The menu offers a "Build Your Grill Plate" where you choose your meat or Falafel Plate, your side of rice or seasoned potatoes, grilled vegetable & sauce. Each plate comes with Mediterranean salad, Hummus & their amazing pita bread. I ordered: Chicken Shish 5/5 - (white meat) so tender and the seasoning was delicious! Ground Beef Kebab 5/5 - excellent Rice - flavorful Hummus - smooth with fresh pomegranates sprinkled on top - yum! *Nice size serving - I could not finish my food so I took it home and enjoyed it the next day. *Free parking in the back *Catering available Book marked and saved cause this Assyrian Princess is going back... ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

Let me tell you a Story about the Grill that gave our tastebuds a thrill with the vibe that was so chill. I ordered the Chicken Plate that came with juicy chunks of marinated chicken breast that was cooked to perfection. Usually it's dry at most places but they got it down to a tee and those spices made it extra flavorful. The Basmati rice was also on point and along with that Tzatziki sauce made these sides a tasty ride for my tastebuds. I finished off with a delicious piece of homemade Baklava and that almost sealed the deal. So what did seal the deal for me you ask? The patio area was so relaxing and gave me that Zen vibe plus our server Valentina was on top of things. So there you have it. Good food, good vibes and company make it a positive. And that's my take on this tasty adventure. Peace, I'm out.

A while back, my family and I stumbled upon this gem and decided to try it out. This is one of our several visits here. Staff has always been very welcoming, friendly, and patient with us since our very first time here. My kids really enjoyed rice here! I am always given multiple rice containers to go, hard to go them to eat any other rice. The homemade marinates, sauces, and hummus are prepared for the kebabs on a daily basis. Hummus is excellent and incredibly creamy. Every kebab is nice and juicy, not dry or overdone. And the well cooked Lamb kebabs in particular are quite hard to get by. You can truly taste the fresh lamb kebabs because they aren't heavily seasoned, like other places. Just the right touch! All things considered, everything was tasty, fresh, and excellent for family sets with a variety of meat choices to suit every palate. Excellent and relaxing atmosphere! Highly recommended!

Walking in they were kind and took our order right away. I ordered a beef shish plate with tzatziki sauce on the side. The hummus was a bit too bitter for me but everything else was good. The meat was well cooked, the pita was fresh and nicely toasted, the tzatziki was good. Overall a nice little restaurant with outdoor seating.

I've said this before in past reviews but this is TRULY the best Mediterranean food I've had. First let's talk about portions! They serve you a generous amount of food, like i had plenty left over for the next day. They have great dine in seating outdoors mainly, but also some minimal seating inside. Complementary water for customers which is awesome. + something I thought I'd mention because it caught my eye; They had gorgeous plating, that I've never seen at any other Mediterranean spot, just a thought I had, for those aesthetic instagram photos ;) I did have their chicken breasts and ground lamb. Wow wow WOW the best lamb I've ever had, it was cooked to perfection and also perfectly seasoned. I can say the same about the chicken but something about the lamb hit different! Probably because I don't have it often. I mean, where else can you get lamb this good in the valley? NO WHERE! I loved the rice, the pita bread, the hummus. It was all perfect with no constructive feedback. I do think that the condiments I got made the meal even more enjoyable, as a sauce girl myself! I had the tomato sauce, (was amazing either way the lamb and pita) the tzatziki, and garlic sauce(which I loved with way the chicken). So I highly recommend these as well. The service was very very friendly, quick and the lady was helpful + knowledgeable about the menu! She was able to answer questions I had about it. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here at the Grill Stories. I will definitely be back either friends and family. A new favorite for sure. Thank you for having me!

I'm such a loyal customer of The Grill Stories at this point I swear I've probably tried the whole menu already Everything is always sooo good, and the staff is genuinely the sweetest. I even met the owner once, and he was so nice to us I've started to order sets to have dinner at home when someone is visiting. Highly recommend P.S. the hummus is die for One of the best I've tried , and I tried a lot hehe

One in a while in my travels, I managed to be surprised. My visit to the grill stories was one of those surprises. To begin with, I wasn't even planning of being in the area, but once I was, I decided to give the grill stories a try. I went up to the counter and discussed my options with a very cordial very nice hostess. Together, we decided on lamb. And let me tell you this... I have had lamb all around the world, but this is SOME OF THE BEST LAMB I'VE HAD, anywhere! Let's backtrack. First you choose your protein. Then you have a choice between potatoes or rice, you can add a grilled Anaheim chili and last you have a choice of sauces. I went with a labaneh with a signature green hot sauce. The lamb was perfectly done. Sometimes lamb meat can be tough, but this was not the case. Every chunk of the shish kebab was perfectly done inside and out. The two grilled items, the lamb and the Anaheim pepper, both exhibited signs of very high heat, clean, burning charcoal. I would guess they use citrus for the charcoal, but I can't be sure. This means that charred bits are only charred, without any accompanying odd flavors and scents that sometimes can be derived from poorly burning charcoal. This is also testament to the skill of the grill Masters. The sumac on the accompanying onions made them taste sweeter while retaining their crunch. This is something that I've seen all over the Middle East and I love it. The hummus was slightly lacking in its tahini component. I'm not sure if this is just an Americanized version of hummus or something more common in Armenian culture. It would've benefited with much more tahini, lemon, and the touch of cumin. The addition of pomegranate seeds added a wonderful tang to every bite. The pitas came out, fluffy and created a wonderful accompanying tool for all the sauces. The only real disappointment was something I was really looking forward to, namely the potatoes. Their texture was off. They tasted mealy and wrong. Whether it was the starch content of the particular potatoes used at this location; a wrong preparation method; or the cooking time; the result was under satisfying potatoes that were left on the plate. Outside seating is cozy and quiet (after all they do have a library as a neighbor) and Service on this night was just right. Give this place a try!

i stopped by the grill stories yesterday in the afternoon, i seen them on Yelp and since i was close by i decided to give them a try. as a middle eastern, i love Mediterranean food. i didn't know The Grill Stories was owned by Armenians. i love to support a Armenian owned Mediterranean establishment, as i am one myself. the food all looked so familiar to what I eat at home so i kinda already knew what I wanted. they have parking in the back, I think it's called "library plaza" but it can get a little packed. the grill stories has outdoor patio with mist & little fan on the table since it is getting outer & indoor seating. when i walked in, i was greeted by a really nice pretty lady & was able to let me use their kiosk to order. i like the kiosk because it allows me to look through their menu and see what they have. i got myself their falafel pocket w. fries & a drink + tzatziki sauce on the side. i love falafel especially with hummus and this pocket was absolutely delicious. the falafel was so heavenly at every bite! their signature tomato sauce instead of ketchup was SO GOOD! i looveeed dipping my fries in the sauce!! - side note but i really like how they have their to go essential on the counter for customers to grab if they want to take their food home. it's nice because you don't have to keep asking the workers multiple times. you can just grab what you need & go. i most definitely need to come back & try their plates.

So good!! Very understated in a small plaza, with an outdoor patio that allows your dogs which is always such a win (something to note, all their meat is seasoned so nothing suitable for a dog to eat. So no dog menu, but dog froendly patio). Its a walk inside and order type spot. 3-4 high top, 4 top tables inside. 8-10 tables outside Plenty of parking in the back lot The food was delicious! Fresh tasting meat, warm and tasty rice, their hot herbal sauce was so good! The salad and pita were all so fresh, it's so disappointing to go to a meditteranean spot that serves store bought, bag pita. Not here. Very fresh on every level. They also serve beer and wine, with Daily Happy Hour 12-4pm. I loved the family style platter option!! Perfect for 2 people with some leftovers. It comes with 3 meats, rice, salad, sauce, and hummus. A delicious experience and another gem in SFV

Cool spot hidden Mediterranean restaurant in the city of San Fernando. If you're craving Mediterranean then this is the hidden gem to visit! I ordered the lamb kebab pocket which was super tasty on it own but the red pepper sauce with the pickles and cabbage elevated the flavors even more. I did add small drops of the yogurt garlic sauce which was also tasty! The atmosphere is warm and inviting with their patio in the back. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We originally wanted to order takeout but after seeing the patio area we decided to go in. Having the food now and being at the restaurant was great but will also be ordering because their food was delicious! Looking forward to trying the shawarma next time!

This place is yummy if you're craving Mediterranean food around this area. I ordered the beef shish plate with fries, and a pepper on the side. My friend ordered the chicken kebab plate with rice and a grilled tomato. I love that they give you large portions! The food was good, although I wouldn't say it's the best Mediterranean place I've been to. I felt that the beef in my dish could've been a little more tender. I loved the pepper on the side, the pita bread, and the hummus with pomegranate on top. It looked like they didn't have too many tables inside. They mostly have outside seating. I thought the service could have been better. The cashier who took our order was not the friendliest.
