First time coming here and last time. You can tell the base was the cheese pizza since the bread is not the killer bees so then I should be charge the $18 and add like $4 tops to it for the pepperoni, just saying.. I've been to the Corner Pizza in Encinitas and now I've been to the location in Carlsbad (Bressi Ranch). The Encinitas location has more character but the Carlsbad spot has tons of easy parking. Same menu at both spots. Same grease at both spots, too. Don't get me wrong. I am ok with some grease--there is flavor there. But the Killer Bee was literally drowning in the stuff. It's still delicious, though. It has a very nice blend of sweet, savory, and spicy. We also tried the naughtily-named Sausage Fest. It's fine but it's more like a Sausage Small Gathering. The sausage is nice but there could be more of it. The sweet peppers are a nice touch. For flavor, the Killer Bee is better. Corner has nice pizza but it is on the pricey side. Margherita Burrata Pizza was excellently made. Crust was crispy down to the third slice! I am not a fan of burrata on my pizza and wish I substitute for mozzarella. The basil leaves are big and the star of this pizza! Padrino Salad was delicious and would hold off on pre dressed. Better to dress it yourself. This review is for a cheese pizza only. Maybe their other items are better but if you can't get a regular cheese pizza right... I am from NY and accept that NY style pizzas in California are not as authentic and that's ok. However this thin crust was SO THIN it was like a potato chip. On top of that, it was overcooked so it is a thin, hard pizza. Like a pita chip pizza but without the flavor. Thin pizzas are actually NOT supposed to be super crispy (which is why thin pizza in NY can be folded)). I hope this was done by accident because I don't understand how they can serve this to people. Thin over cooked crust, thin sauce, thin cheese. Traders Joe's $5 pizza is way better, which is sad to say. Do not get a cheese pizza. read more

My husband and I came for dinner last night. Staff is super attentive and helpful. We shared the Caesar salad and the pizza- half Forbidden (added ricotta) and half sausage fest. I actually meant to get the T-Rex but I ordered wrong. The Forbidden was good, and my leftover was even better the next day. All flavors complimented each other. The sausage fest was good, liked the flavors as well. The Caesar was ok...didn't seem to have much flavor. Loved the side of hot honey! This place is nearby and I would come back. Went on Christmas Eve eve and I can't stop thinking about the Lemon Pesto Pizza. The crust was crispy and the flavor was perfect. Loved the meatballs too. Must go back to try the Killer Bee. Officially off our list, third time ordering takeout this time it was cold and we warmed it up and it became very soggy it was like eating lasagna. We have been to the Encinitas location to dine in and that's excellent but if you try to call for pickup they won't answer the phone so I guess we will just stick to great Pizza Port and not try to fix what's not broken. read more

Fantastic staff and service. Food is 3 stars. We went on a Saturday night and it was dead but they had a DJ playing music which was interesting. The music was not dance music though and it was a bit loud. We ordered the spinach artichoke pizza. We were surprised when it arrived that it didn't have tomato sauce but was a white pizza. It wasn't clear from the description that it was a white pizza. The crust was outrageously salty and I think it's because they used the Everything Bagel seasoning on the pizza. It sounded tasty but it was soooo salty that we could barely eat more than one piece. I took the leftovers home and scraped off the seasoning and it was much better. The spinach artichoke part was tasty but it needed less salt and definitely some tomato sauce IMO. The pizza was good sized and would make a hearty meal for 2 people. We also ordered the caesar salad. This was very large so it was easy to split. The dressing was a bit spicy which was unexpected (I think it was the garlic but I am not sure) and there was too much dressing on the salad. It was fine but not great. But the staff - they made the whole visit! They were adorable (young woman and man), nice, funny and helpful. They came to our table after dinner and asked us what music we wanted to hear. Then they came by and chatted with us and we were all laughing. They were so welcoming. They seemed genuinely interested in knowing us. Had lunch here today. Last time in we had the meatballs and a nice salad. It was nice. Today we decided to order a pizza. For me mainly no other options on the menu. My wife wanted the margherita burrata. And I wanted the pepperoni, with some sausage. So we split it. 1/2 and 1/2 Funny thing is they charged us $25 which is the price of the Margherita, (pepperoni $22) which is fine. But Then, they charged us $4 for the pepperoni, and $3 to add the sausage. It gets better. To add meat to a whole pizza $4. To add to 1/2 is $3. Explain that math to me please. Not to mention we felt the pizza was over sauced, and it was very tangy. We normally bring home any leftovers. But we walked away from 1/2 a pizza. Lastly. Who plays hard rock over the music system. This place took the place of Bantam's roost in the square at Bressi Ranch. Plenty of parking available. We were served immediately. Free seating. The order of food is to be done up front. And food will be delivered to you when ready. There are a couple of tables inside, bar seating, and patio seating with booths with wooden benches. Heaters are turned on on the patios, and there are large canvas roll-up blinds shielding patrons from the wind. This place is good for relaxing and fast meals. My hubby ordered up front. We ordered meatballs, burrata, and caeser salad. He ordered a beer - a pale ale, and I ordered a prosecco. The service is incredibly fast So fast that we thought they microwaved the food. But I gotta say the food is great. The meatballs were fantastic. Definitely made fresh. The sauce was fantastic. The pizza bread accompanying that was delicious - crispy and pillowy. The buratta was super fresh when you cut it, the cream comes oozing out. The tomatoes are mostly fresh. It gives you the feeling if being sun ripened, but they were a tad bit too ripe. The moment the fork hits the tomato, it bursts. I did find a couple of rotten tomatoes hidden under the basil leaf. We did tell the server, but she just brushed it off, saying that they marinated them overnight and left it at that. The ceaser salad is not to our liking. Honestly, it's us, not them. We forgot to tell them to go light on the dressing. I don't like a lot of dressing on my salad, and neither does my husband. So we ended up sending most of the salad back. They did not ask how it was. Overall, it's a nice place to be. I would come back again! Great for a Sunday afternoon meal. read more

A good pie with additional approval of some very seasoned, real (from Italy) Italians. The mushroom and arugula pie (Mushroom Queen) was fiercely awesome with great flavor and texture. Foldable crust. A pleasure to enjoy. Super friendly and accommodating staff. They didn't take cash. At least at the bar area. Perhaps they take all of the electronic-cash options that my generation is slow to adopt/adapt. They were seemingly very willing to open a tab, so credit cards did it for me this evening. I am understanding this place employs strict dietary guidelines for gluten free sensitivities. Comes highly recommended by a nearby small business owner. The Padrino Salad was less than spectacular. Even cumbersome trying to chase the selected cuts or torn lettuces and garbanzo beans to stay atop a fork; or perhaps, trying to stab the overly tossed, now limp and well lubricated with dressing, garden greens. Went here for lunch on a Saturday (8/16/25) around 12:30 PM, and the restaurant was surprisingly not too busy. My family originally had a reservation for 16 that we had to cancel the day before. Only 3 of us were still able to make it, so we didn't make a new reservation. We ordered at the counter and sat down at a table of our choice. The wait was average, the service was friendly and competent, and the food was delicious! We all enjoyed our meals and plan to return soon. I ordered the gluten-free Margherita pizza. The crust was better than average (likely a rice-based crust), and the toppings were a true delight. Hoping they may offer a soup or two at times. But the main reason we come here is the pizza in its simple glory. Tasty and the Italian oregano gives it just the right amount of zip. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They hire well at ZZ. They did a good job of refitting the old Bantams roost and I am glad they kept the beer drafts since the Leucadia location only has cans. Terrible. Ordered 3 pizzas, 2 miles away. All arrived cold. The burata pizza was terrible. Domino's is way better, which is not good.

Try the killer bee! They have a Caesar salad has a kick to it but if you're in the mood it's very tasty and flavorful. The killer bee pizza is our go to with the perfect blend of meat and hot honey. We've also had the regular pepperoni which is tasty. I've had the calamari but I didn't think it was worth that and will stick to the pizza for when I come here. read more

We didn't know what to expect, and we came in just a few days after they opened, but the pizza was amazing. We asked for the crust to be extra crispy, and the owner, not knowing our request, was going to send it back because it didn't meet his quality standards, but we told him we ordered it that way and we went ahead and Loved it. Maybe we didn't have to do crispy crust but it was a great pizza and my friends have been back a few times since then. It is nice to have such a great pizza so close to where I live. Andre was fantastic recommending apps and pizzas to a first timer like myself and Alex was quick with clearing our app plates and bringing us new ones and just overall very very friendly. Married, childless, 30-something here who's only ever taken out from this location because I've been traumatized by the Leucadia location, seeing as it's often ridden with heathens for children and entitled parents with strollers ready to bash achilles tendons. Also, I just really like eating pizza in the comfort of my own home. My regular orders: T-Rex pizza and Caesar salad. I love the garlicky Caesar dressing and that they put capers on the salad. As someone who works retail, I'm all for a cash-free register. I also appreciate the option to tip (or not). (For the people complaining about the tip--maybe just don't leave one?) My hubs usually picks up the pizza, but said this location has the nicest workers. Also, this is the fastest working location! We've been to Leucadia, Oside and this one, and our order is always completed in an efficient manner. Consistency keeps us returning.
