Okay so real talk, this place is doing the most in the best way. Buy two bottles of wine, get a pizza for a dollar? Two slices and a drink for $10? I'm in. We got the whole hot honey pizza for ourselves (no shame) and that homemade Caesar dressing is unreal. They don't even carry ranch and put up a little sign about it, which lowkey made me laugh out loud. Thin crust, just slightly too greasy for me, fresh toppings, and a chocolate chip sea salt cookie that I thought about for days after. 10/10, we're back.

Corner Pizza is such a cute addition to Leucadia's coast highway. Their menu is robust and has a ton of options for everyone to find something they like. We ordered the margarita burrata and pepperoni split as well as a caesar salad and some drinks. The caesar was just okay, would loved more dressing, but the dried capers were delish. The pizza was really good, no complaints here. They have NO Ranch but they do have hot honey sides.

Caesar Salad was very mediocre. Not much flavor but the croutons were good.

This pizza joint is bigger than it looks with almost all its seating on a wraparound patio. There are just a few seats inside. You order at the counter and then start hunting for an open table. It is not always easy. We probably waited 5-10 minutes before snatching a dirty table which had just been vacated. You need to enact your seagull fetch food instincts and swoop down on an empty table as soon as you see it. The Caesar salad was very average and had pieces of the salad's core in it which, frankly, no one eats and I am unsure if it is even edible. Regardless, the salad needed more flavor. We tried the Killer Bee pizza and it is very nice. There was plenty of pepperoni and the crust was thin and crispy. There was some soppressata on the pizza but not much. The chili honey gave it a nice sweet/hot touch. The pizza was plenty for three people. It was also $28, which is definitely pricey. Their wine list is more impressive than you might expect for a pizza joint in Leucadia, although Encinitas is now quite the restaurant hot spot. Good luck with parking. Fortunately, in Encinitas, you can park almost anywhere and most people are pretty laid back about it. Skip the Caesar salad but definitely give this place a try. I generally prefer thick crust pizzas with a ton of cheese but this pizza pie was very good.

Corner pizza always hits. Delicious pizza, cute little shop, chill staff. May be the only pizza not made better with ranch. Highly recommend.

    Killer Bee...you must try this!

We went here to celebrate my daughters birthday. It's her favorite place. The menu is so unique! We ordered the Killer Bee and Broccolini pizzas along with the Ceasar and Padrino salad. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The crust and sauce on the pizzas are perfection! The salads were large portions with crisp lettuce and just the right salad dressings. They have an outstanding beer and wine selection. My daughter said the oysters here are amazing too! The service was outstanding!! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant was excellent. Corner Pizza is a rare find!! It truley is the best pizza ever!! You have to try it. You will be so happy you did. I'm sure it will become your favorite place too!

OMG!!! this was food poetry! The first bite took my breath away and I cannot even describe the absolute pleasure every additional bite added. I literally could have cried the pizza was so good. What did I get? What everyone recommended... killer bee pizza. They recommended I get the dirty crust(I think that's what it's called) it is essentially everything bagel seasoning on your crust... do not turn that down. 100% highly recommend. My score for this place is based 100% on the pizza everything else did not matter after I took a bite! The service was good for a pizza joint and all recommendations were great. The location does lack parking but I would walk a few miles for the pizza so no big deal. And it was outdoor dining in California... so nice! Trust me just go and get the killer bee!

Very busy on a Friday night, but got a table. Pizza was long cut like new York style but very crispy, I really enjoyed the taste. I ordered cheese with broccolini, onions and hot honey. They forgot the hot honey and just gave me a side, which i didnt want., I asked them to pour it on using the honey bottle squirter (like they were supposed to) bc I didnt think I could properly spread it on the pizza and they treated me like I was crazy and argued with me. I think that's the san diego laid back vibe where youre not supposed to give a $hit. Not really for me, I just want what I ordered and paid for. So service wasn't that great. My friends ordered a pepperoni pizza and the kids seemed to like it. I thought it was a little pricey as well. Prob could get comparable pizza for a little less money.

    So damn good

Absolutely fire pizza!! Sucks it it is on the expensive side but you only live once right. We had the pepperoni pizza, then added half pineapple and half broccolini. It was $50 bucks with the tip and I got a glass of vino. Luckily the price was worth it! Next time I would just get the pie, it's only $22. I'm not sure why it went up so much lol.

I go back to Corner Pizza again and again. The best pizza in San Diego by far which also happens to have the best cesar salad! The only con is because it is so good it can be hard to find a seat fast. But once you do, it's great service and it's great vibes.

Do you take reservations? I tried to call but nobody answered. Thanks!

They don't take reservations and you won't need them. It's a walk-up pizza joint with plenty of seating indoors or out. The pizza maker(s) can get backed up at peak times, so be prepared to wait for your order (or arrive off-peak).

There was lots of parking on the other side of the street and we were greeted by a friendly waitress. I tried the gelato. Vanilla gelato was creamy with a rich, sweet vanilla flavor. Buona Forchetta came highly recommended by a friend who raves about their pizzas. After trying it…read moremyself, I'd rate it closer to a 3.5 out of 5. It's a solid neighborhood restaurant, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. We ordered two pizzas: a gluten-free Margherita and a regular Margherita. One thing that immediately stood out was how similar the two crusts tasted. Both had a comparable level of chewiness, which was surprising given that one was gluten-free. The gluten-free crust lacked some of the wheaty, earthy flavor you'd expect from a traditional dough, but overall I was genuinely impressed by its texture and quality. It's one of the better gluten-free pizza crusts I've had. The pizzas are Neapolitan-style and generally enjoyable. The dough itself is well made, though I would have preferred a bit more chew and structure to take it to the next level. My biggest criticisms are the sauce and cheese. The sauce was applied too sparingly, leaving the pizza without enough moisture or cohesion to tie the different components together. More importantly, the flavor felt one-dimensional--mostly salty, without the rich tomato sweetness, depth, and complexity that make a great Neapolitan pizza memorable. But I want to be fair. Judging from the photos posted by other Yelpers, some of the pizzas shown have a good amount of pizza sauce. I need to try the food again and update my review. As for the cheese, the fresh mozzarella on the Margherita didn't quite meet expectations. The slices had a firmer texture than I typically associate with fresh mozzarella and lacked some of the soft, creamy moisture that helps create that signature melt. The flavor was also milder than expected; instead of delivering a pronounced milky richness, it tasted somewhat diluted. This may be a minor criticism, but on a simple pizza like a Margherita, where every ingredient is on display, these details become much more noticeable. Overall, Buona Forchetta serves a respectable Neapolitan-style pizza, and its gluten-free option is particularly impressive. However, the underwhelming sauce and mozzarella kept the pizzas from reaching the level I was expecting given the enthusiastic recommendations.
