We came on a whim while being in the area for quite a while and we were hungry. We happened to come upon this spot and as it was a Sunday, there was brunch full in effect with a live dj. We were quickly seated, given menus and had waters placed in front of us. Within 10 minutes we were able to order and our food was promptly carried out of the kitchen within 15-20 minutes. Well flavored. Calamari: lightly seasoned, not over cooked. Perfect. Popcorn shrimp: very bready. Not my favorite. I enjoyed the sauce served with it "boom boom sauce" a spicy cream sauce Fried chicken and bacon waffle with bacon served under the chicken. A generous serving of tender fried chicken. This chicken is excellent. No bone. Well seasoned. The waffle is not great. Aunt ordered the chicken and swapped waffle for pancake. I'm convinced it was freezer premade pancakes. Completely hard. Unacceptable. No bottomless. $25 bottle of mimosa. We were served a $25 bottle of orange juice. The waitress was very nice and brought it to I believe the managers attention. She sent over a separate bottle of Prosecco to supplement the 3 orders of mimosa bottles. Helpful, but not enough to cover 3 full bottles of orange juice (approx 750 ml) Everyone else who ordered cocktails enjoyed the drinks. Stick to regular drinks. Do Not order the mimosa bottle. I came here few weeks ago....(May 2nd to be exact) I really liked the vibe of this place. It was packed for a Thursday, might have been because there was a game on. Plenty of flat screens. The host was so welcoming and polite. My coworker & I just wanted drinks but the bar was packed. In order to sit at a table we had to order food but they had no vegan apps. Waiter was nice enough just to have us order guac and chips even though I don't think that's on the menu. Music was 10/10 this place was lit. We stayed for a few rounds & drank our work day away. The service is excellent the ambiance is amazing. People are friendly. The food looks great and tastes like it needs more seasoning. Everybody is almost happy with their food. The music is fabulous makes you really want to dance while you eat. The chicken wings looked real good with the sauce but there was no seasoning under the sauce. The Chicken with the waffle was all dried out. When asked to replace we were told we'd have to wait until after 4 pm it was 4:15. Why would we have to wait. It was dry also. We were looking for a local hangout spot and The Corner Social definitely delivered. When we arrived there was a line to get in. There didn't seem to be an even exchange of people leaving being replaced with people going in. Then there were a number of people who kept standing off to the side trying to jump the line for various reasons. At one point, security got into with some of the guys and the owner(?) had to come out and diffuse the situation. Once we were inside, there was a good vibe. Although it was pretty crowded, we were able to find a table/ seats toward the back of the restaurant. The DJ played a good mix of music and there were plenty of people up and dancing. Well another great time at this establishment it never disappoints the decor was up to standards finorin the spirit the dj was amazing had me grooving to the music and the food was on point the staff are amazing checking if we needed anything even the guy who made sure my table stopped wiggling was very attentive. Avoid this place if you care even a little about what goes into your food. Based on what I know from someone in the kitchen, the food here is not freshly cooked. It sits out all day, pre-made, and is just reheated when you order. That's not just lazy -- it's gross. The chicken I ordered was dry as sandpaper, clearly from being overheated multiple times. The texture was tough, the flavor was flat, and it looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. No seasoning, no moisture -- just a sad slab of protein on a plate. The sides weren't any better. Lukewarm, bland, and thrown together like an afterthought. Honestly, a microwave dinner would've tasted better and been more honest about what it is. If you're expecting a freshly cooked meal, you're wasting your money. This place cuts corners and hopes you won't notice. But once you do, it's hard to unsee. While back in the area visiting friends, we ended up going to dinner here - my friend has been to this spot many times and I get why. Got there around 6 something on a Saturday and got a table pretty quickly which was great because the place was definitely full of people but not too crowded. The vibes were good with the decor, lighting and music the DJ was playing. Our waiter immediately came over to check & take our drink orders. I got the Harlem Love Punch and my friend got The Golden Goose. Both drinks were really good offering different tastes of course - the punch was on the sweet side but not too sweet & well mixed, while the golden goose gave a more refreshing feeling after taking a sip. Throughout the entire dining experience, he was polite and checked in an appropriate amount of times. Their menu looked great and had so many options I wanted to try, it was hard for me to pick one lol. My friend got the Burger. Since it was my first time there and she said the burgers are good, I played it a bit safe while still getting something I felt would be tasty, filling and slightly different - the Lamb Burger w/ Sweet Potato Fries. The vibes are untouchable here!!! I went for brunch with my girlie and we stayed at least 6 hours. The music and energy was poppin so we were in no rush to leave. We worked our way through several mimosa bottles and were feeling very groovy. Our server Claudia was on it and kept our glasses full. The steak and eggs were delicious and so were the wings. This dah I decided to do a little exploring I was able to get myself a free facial this day. All I could think about after was getting some good food and listening to some good music it's summer time we should be outside. So I found corner Social even though I've been here plenty times before the staff is extremely helpful. I came with my friend who who also happened to be hungry so we got us some seats. I ordered the salmon in garlic butter sauce it was sooo good and my friend got wings and jalapeño fries I've never heard of fried like this but they were delicious. They have outside seating which I like more I just like seeing what's around me and seeing sunlight. Our drinks were good not to sweet made to perfection. The only thing I will Say about this place is they charge you for everything they charged us a fee because we used our debt cards and they charged us a service fee and gratuity on top of that so be aware when you go here you look at your bill. But other than that the food was good. Don't know if I'll go back with more than one person next time. read more

I finally got the chance to dine at Corner Social and I'm disappointed that it took me so long to try the food. I've always appreciated the vibe, which was usually night time, but we ate there on a Sunday around 5pm and it was still giving brunch vibes. We were seated as soon as we got there and our lovely waitress came over to take our order. For drinks, we got the rum punch and for our meal, we both got the ahi tuna steak sandwich, which came with French fries. Our food came out so quickly and mine was pretty good. I added avocado and caramelized onions to mine. Although I didn't like the fries, because they were clearly frozen fries tossed into the fryer, I overlooked it. We ended getting another round of rum punch and just chilled out for a while. Our waitress was so attentive that despite the 20% tip they already added, we tipped her another 30% because she was just that great. Before we left, one of the waiters introduced us to the owner who was so pleasant and got us a round of shots. Trust and believe we'll be back for many more nights at Corner Social. read more

I have wanted to visit this establishment for a few yrs n finally took the leap today. First down side was music soooooooo loud I couldn't hear the hostess, waiter or my friend .....the bulk of the time there was with me or him shouting across the table "what"??????? I think I may have in fact split my vocal cord from speaking so loudly to my friend. Sure a DJ is fine but volume on the max for a restaurant is ridiculous and it's also not such a big space......completely unnecessary. Second negative was todays high felt like 10 degrees......all of our food was cold 6 minutes after the waiter put it on table due to the cold air bursting thru the front door ever time it was opened. Third glitch was a fixed brunch menu.....I honestly reviewed the full menu online 3 days before my visit and had my heart set on the Maryland crab cakes but was informed that the full menu is only available starting at 4pm. You can only select flatbread or appetizer options from the usual menu. Checked out the brunch menu and didn't like any of the maybe 8 choices. The food was good I will give them that but the French fries with a blob of cheese on top which turned to cold cheese n crumbled bacon (it was also hard to even separate this Siamese twin mass of potatoes) .......fries should just be plain or truffles fries but this choice wasn't a wise one (barely touched it). Our waiter was very nice and gave us great service so thumbs up to him for doing a good job. So my advice take your aspirins before entering, bring a blanket if it's winter time or you will freeze your biscuits off while inside and your better off texting anyone in your party because you won't be able to hear them well and don't want to leave with a sore throat.l read more

Came to corner social because it was recommended by my uber driver as a good spot in Harlem for hip hop. When I came all of the seats at the bar were taken so I posted up in the first nook I could find and grabbed a drink. The music was really good. It started out as mostly east coast then once it got later, they removed the bar seats and the music got more mixed. Ceasar was my bartender, and he was really good. The bartenders kept everyone's glasses full despite the crowd. The crowd was a mix of locals and visitors but everyone was really nice. I look forward to coming back next time i'm visiting the city. read more

The food fell off real bad! I used to come here all the time. I had chicken spring rolls, which you would think it would come with some sweet sauce. It came with sour cream and guacamole. Very strange. The wings were horrendous! The lollipop lamb chops had no seasoning. My son's chicken tenders were ok. But I'm not coming back here for chicken tenders. You can order from the brunch menu or appetizers from the regular menu. They have a nice selection. We ordered the burrito and chicken & waffles. The burrito was pretty good, could have been seasoned a bit more. The chicken & waffles were good. The chicken was well seasoned and the waffles were soft. The mimosas were $25 for a bottle (they mix it in advance) or $9 for individual mimosas. They were pretty strong! Definitely got the job done. Everything came out quickly and the service was good. The dj played a mix of r&b music and was interactive with the guests. He even does a free drink on the hour. I'd definitely return. read more

Went to Corner Social on a Saturday evening for food and drinks. Upon arrival I asked the host if she had a table available for 3 people. The host confirmed she had a table available for 3 and walked me to my table. My 2 others friends were outside taking an important phone call and when the host noticed it was just me seating down, she asked that I get up from the table since the whole party was not present. I explained to the host that my friends are just outside and they will come in. She proceed to say I cannot sit at the table and went outside to check if my party was actually outside. As she looked outside my party was walking in. So I already had a bad feeling about the place but tried to over look that incident since I do understand some restaurants require that the whole party is present, but in this situation there were so many tables available. We ordered beers and tequila sodas, the draft beer was flat and the tequila soda was watered down. We ordered tequila shots for the table and the shots were also watered down. We ordered the pizza and wings for the table which were good, no complaints with the food and it came out fast. There was a dj playing music but talked so much over the music. Finally when we asked the waiter to bring our bill. We noticed there were 2 extra charges on the bill. We kindly asked the waiter to fix the bill since there was extra charges. The waiter stated the bill was correct. We explained to the waiter the bill was incorrect. While trying to explain to the waiter of the over charge he was looking the other way and rolling his eyes. The waiter finally came back with a new bill and removed the extra charges. I don't recommend going to Corner Social since the drinks are watered down and the staff does not offer good customer service. read more

Gahhhhh! I told a friend I wanted to go to a spot that played nothing but 90s music and he delivered with this place!!! I first came on a Thursday, around 7pm. We were able to get seating. When you arrive, you must have a temp check done, use hand sani and write your name down for any contact tracing needs. DJ was on point!!! Playing all of the fun 90s music, I didn't even want to leave. I got the steak frites, with garlic fries and spinach. The Fries were good, I didn't care for the spinach much and the steak was good. Altho I didn't like the dressing and I asked for medium but it was fairly hard to cut thru. The next day I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. They were just okay, while at the table. The next day I added SUGAR and re-heated and this dish was Really good! The Jerk wings were also very good and huge! Drinks were good. I even came back the next night lol. Nino came over to our table and introduced himself and asked how was the service. We actually had a lengthy convo with him about COVID and having to shut down indoor dining per city law. He was very concerned with his employees not having work and geniunely seemed like a good guy! They DO have covered outdoor seating however and the location is a minute walk from the subway. We liked the place so much that we even bought shirts that says :Life is Harlem". I'm def. coming back when I return to New York!!! read more
