I have tried Corner Square twice and I really really liked the regular cheese slice. The crust was perfect and the cheese/grease ratio was on point. I also had a burrata square slice which didn't reheat very well (the crust was too brittle) and I didn't really like it. On my first visit I had a cheese square slice. I would certainly be back but for the Andrew Tate quote that is on the wall across from the cash register. Gross.

Solid Bayonne neighborhood slice, but the real standout star is their $15 cheesesteak Its very comparable to the ones in Philly but closer especially if you are close to NYC. Cheese is nice and cheesy. The wait was long on a weekend, but totally worth the try! The sesame semolina bread was slightly hard when I had it but I would still get this again! Also as fyi, Dave portnoy rated the pizza a 8.1 .

Chicken vodka parm sandwich was excellent. They handled it with care using a box for the sandwich. Great taste with perfect chicken to bread ratio.

I decided to give this place another try and this time I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and ate it there. The place is small but there are about 6 tables. This time the cheesesteak was cheesier so I would recommend you dine in instead of ordering take out/delivery. The girl who works taking the orders is a real hard worker. She takes orders, phone calls, she is also a waitress not to mention if you order slices she is the one who warms the up. What a great employee!

After going to the Liberty Science Center, my husband said we had to check out the pizza shop that was just a 10 minute drive away. We drove over and were so ready to try the cheesesteak Sandwich. When we walked in, the staff were patient as we figured out our order. I ordered the cheesesteak Sandwich which was orgasmic! The cheese they use is perfectly salty with the fresh bread and sauteed onions. It was so delicious. We also ordered the chopped chicken sandwich and the hot honey pizza. All that we tried was fantastic. They also have a clean bathroom for customers, which I appreciated before heading back to NYC after eating the delicious meal. There are a few tables to dine in, and it seemed like many people order their food to go. When I'm back in the area, I'll definitely visit again.

Came on a Tuesday for lunch. The place is clean and you're greeted with an array of pizza selections, sandwiches and bread knots. Everything looks delicious! We ordered a slice of grandma vodka pizza, to start. Amazing crust, the vodka sauce, divine. We shared the cheesesteak. This cheesesteak is massive, about 12-inches, fully loaded with meat and cooper-sharp cheese and sauteed onions. It was a major hit! DELICIOUS! Saves you a trip to Philly. We met the owner's son, who brought our cheesesteak to our table. Friendly guy and the staff service is impressive. A gem in Bayonne! Go and support.

Tried Corner Square Pizza and it didn't let me down. I ordered a cheesesteak -- solid choice. The roll was fresh, meat was tender and well-seasoned, and the cheese was perfectly melted throughout. Not the best cheesesteak I've ever had, but definitely satisfying and worth adding to your order. Would go back to try more stuff , the cheesesteak's was solid. Food came out quick and the service was on point.

Old school pizzeria in Bayonne. Now becoming famous for its cheesesteaks and pizza because Devour Power ate here. Found this gem on Tiktok, order at the counter the owner is so nice. We ordered the Tipsy Grandma and a cheesesteak. Did not disappoint.

This place was really busy. We came in for carry out and had to wait. The lady at the cashier did not know anything about the items on the menu but the gentlemen assisting her was very helpful. After the long wait it was definitely worth it. The servings are huge and the food was amazing. The place was cute but not a lot of seating. I would definitely come back if I come back to Bayonne.

Updating my review to add the cheesesteak. Overall great quality meat & house made cheese wiz, but lacked another depth of flavor. You can add things to the cheesesteak, but a pepper or some spice would do wonders.

Placed an order at 2pm via your toast/website for a future 5:30pm order. How is it possible that my order goes through 3 delivery drivers claiming they are not ready? I can understand you're backed up, but that's.not an excuse especially if I placed a future order. Get together please, it is now 6:10pm and no order received!

This restaurant is beautiful to visit and you'll feel beautiful just walking in. Parking is valet and easy as can be. Where does that happen in Hudson County? Now, the service and food. I have a very discerning palate and love to cook. I always find something to complain about when we eat out. Well, I have to say, the food at Americano was just perfect. From the exquisite appetizer selection of burrata, oysters (priced well!), fried artichoke hearts, calamari (perfectly breaded), we could not find fault and only oohed and aahed at the deliciousness of every dish. The steak was just out of this world. I was able to cut the steak with my fork it was so tender. Eggplant parmigiana that was absolutely perfect. Do not leave this out of your selections. Oh my God- the desserts. Don't even get me started. The attentiveness and expertise of the servers was what you find in Europe at the finest restaurants. The owner, Lance, was there that night and overseeing everything like a family boss. You could tell the staff adore him and their work. Needless to repeat but, I will. What a lovely evening of old world Hollywood charm topped off with food that will have you feeling like you spent your precious time and hard earned money well. That's a rare gem in today's world. We can't wait to return. (My only regret was that we didn't take enough pictures of the food!)

For appetizers, we got zucchini chips, fried calamari and mussels. The calamari was fried too hard and it had a very salty, spicy Chilean type sauce over it. The zucchini chips were thinly sliced, lightly battered with Parmesan cheese sprinkled over them. They were decent but nothing to write home about. In fact, after having about six or seven of the zucchini chips I began to experience heartburn from the grease. For entrees, my husband had the chicken parm. He said it was too thick and should have been flattened more before frying. It was also very breaded. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken and waffles and he said the chicken tasted day old so after having a bite of one piece of the chicken he pushed the chicken aside and called it a day. I called the waiter over and informed him about the chicken tasting day old. He didn't try to change it out or take it off the bill or get a manager. He just apologized by saying I'm sorry. My crab Mac and Cheese was decent. It wasn't seasoned the way I would have liked but the huge, plentiful chunks of crab made up for that. I ate a third of my dish and packed the rest for home where I will doctor it up to my taste. I've never been to this particular restaurant before. The only reason we came today is because my brother-in-law was here on business and staying at a hotel in the area.

I was a bit hesitant to try despite the strong positive reviews, because I also read reviews about it being hard to get a table and they can be rude and its a whole thing and blah blah blah. I am glad I didn't listen to those reviews! It was an amazing experience and Angelina and her son were so nice to us. Yes you have to call up a couple of times to make a reservation and put in your food order, but trust me it's worth it. The decor is nothing like any other restaurants, and the whole experience is nothing like another restaurant. The decor is loud, American and flashy, with an undertone of warmth given by the red and Christmas lights strung everywhere. 4th of July meets Christmas meets Election Day, also somehow it evoked a feeling of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Over the bar area a TV was playing the football playoffs and also a radio was playing jazz and swing music. It's literally like going over someone's house. In a really good way, you feel welcomed and taken care of. Angelina's son pours your glass of wine to the brim and refills your sangria at no charge. He even taught us how to eat the stuffed artichoke after he saw us scooping it on our plate. Instead he said just take a leaf off and suck everything out. Which actually made so much sense and made the experience eating the appetizer much better. I never had a stuffed artichoke before so I can't compare it to anything, but it was a really fun experience eating it and was buttery and delicious. Food came out pretty quickly. The artichoke came out probably just 15 minutes after we sat down. The meals seem to range from 20-40 dollars a dish. I assume the prices fluctuate more than your average restaurant. Which is fine to me, food is more expensive nowadays and these portions are huge and delicious. It's family style! The artichoke was $22, the eggplant parm $30, lasagna $38 and the chicken marsala $40. Glass of wine $10, Sangria $13. Cash only I believe. 3 people could probably share one entree and feel content enough to go home. But we got 3 entrees and an appetizer for 4 people. We have dinner for the rest of the week! Prepare to overeat when you come here. The Eggplant parm was stand-out for me. It was my favorite. The sauce was sweet and light, and the eggplant was crispy and flavorful. The lasagna had a different tomato sauce on it, also good. The cheese in the lasagna was really good as well. There was also a side of pasta handed to us, not sure which dish it was supposed to accompany. It also had red sauce on it, but tasted different from the two other red sauces! That's a real level of detail, make 3 different red sauces when you could just use the same. It's just such good quality food. The bread that was brought out was very good as well, soft, - a good dipping bread! Ask for dessert because the Cannoli was delicious! I want to come back and try tiramisu if they have it. We spent 2 hours here. There were only 2 other tables on a Saturday night. I don't think it's as coveted as it used to be, it's easy to call her. Just find it on google maps and press the call button. I called when the place is closed (before 4:30), because I assume she is busy cooking and attending to the guests during dinner time. Then you just reserve a date and time. She messages you the menu. Though for some reason the text never came through on my phone so I called back and asked if she can send it to my husband's phone number. She did, and we got the menu. I called her back up told her our food order and a week later we sat down and enjoyed our delicious meal! This place is the best, and a really great place to go when your new to the town. They have been here all their lives and know everyone. I felt welcomed and now a true member of the Bayonne community. We will definitely be back.

Cozy and definitely feels like an old school Italian restaurant. Servers are welcoming and super friendly. Attentive but not too attentive. We made a reservation by calling, it was busy but there were still a few tables empty on a Saturday night. The bartender greeted us with a big smile. Honestly this place should be busier it's much better than the other Italian restaurants in town. We started off with calamari. $20. Perfect texture, and flavor. Not too salty, and not chewy at all. It was delicious. I got chicken martini off the specials menu, and it was two thin sliced chicken breasts in a lemon caper sauce with tomatoes and artichokes. It was exactly what I wanted and the chicken was soft, moist and delicious. It's a little pricey for the portion I think it was $34 but it wasn't the biggest plate of food. My husband got a pasta dish that he loved, it was homemade stuffed pasta with spinach and cheese. The menu had a lot of creative dishes on there, not all typical Italian dishes you would normally find. Dinner comes with fried polenta and carrots and broccoli which is a nice touch. There is another Italian restaurant in Bayonne that does that, I haven't seen that done before I moved here. I do like it! It's nice that a side like that is complimentary. And the bread is complimentary as well, it's a big baguette and it was super soft and flavorful but crunchy on the outside, very good for free bread! I also liked how they had two sets of forks so you didn't have to keep your appetizer fork for dinner. They also box the food up in the back so you don't have to do it yourself. Excellent service. I would definitely come back here again.
