The worker are unprofessional. Pumps are sometimes out of order with no signage on them with the workers knowing. They are too lazy to put out of order sign on the pumps. The female staff are slow and when someone black comes to the register, they act distracted making them wait. Other than Costco gas, this is the only Gas station for Verrado. The soda machine is constantly out of soda, cups aren't filled up on a regular basis so I have had to ask for cups or even lids. It is a mess all the time and the employees seem nice, but don't show good customer service. I have had to say HI or how are you. They need to get someone in that knows how to order supplies correctly or replace the soda machine and do the receipt paper at the pumps. You hear the employees tell one person the soda machine is broken and another that they are out of the soda and it "should be coming tomorrow". Make up your minds. I would love to have Quik Trip. They know how to hustle and the stores are clean and employees are nice. Shell needs to observe another station on how it runs, hold employees to task, and for goodness sake have things full and available. read more

Came here for the shell gas station in the front. I went inside to pay for my gas and the guy working here was very nice and helpful. I did not get any convenience foods or snacks, so I can't speak for that, but the clerk was very helpful! read more

She's been short, unpleasant, and flat out rude and tonight took the cake when she decided to embarrass me in front of the store. The corner store is the closest convenience store, they usually have what we are looking for a last min stop. Bathrooms are clean and have the necessary toilet paper and soap. They have hand protection at the pumps, which is something I appreciate....if they are available, half the time they are out. The cashiers are very friendly, nice & funny. Biggest con about this store is 50% of the time they have a ridiculous line inside when they are busy and usually have one to two cashiers max. My recommendation is maybe have more staff during their peak times...from what I've noted, around mid afternoon. read more

It's all my fault! I keep giving this convenient store a chance because of its convenience to I10. I can't anymore. Something every time! You constantly play musical pumps to see what one is working, if you need a receipt after pumping, be prepared to go inside and stand in a line of 10+ people to stand and wait. Probably wouldn't be so bad if you could actually see people working and trying to provide customer service. I quit going here a while ago because the pumps were always broken and the store shelves empty. I broke down and tried to give them another chance. All I wanted was an energy drink. How bad could that be, right? So is 830am on a Saturday morning Shelves bare, fridge well stocked with alcohol but nothing else. I grab an energy drink. Not the one I wanted but choices were limited. I get in a long line with only one person working the registers. The cashier appears to be BSing with his current customer in stead of getting customers served. This review is for the shell gas station, not the store. I've came here multiple times when I'm in desperate need of gas and EVERY single time I come, without doubt 2 or 3 of the pumps are broken and there's only about 8 pumps. Most dumbest "gas station" that is way too small! Go to another gas station cause you'll be lucky if you'll find a working pump or an open spot to pump. Today is officially my last time ever trying this gas station, you're better off going to Chevron off Jackrabbit or QT off Watson. read more

It is a great place to go and hang out with friends, the cashiers are nice, the store is huge, it's near a Starbucks, Barro's, and Culver's. There's many things you can get there ranging from Icees to gum to energy drinks and to candy, same with hotdogs and pizza. read more

Nice and clean. Morning staff is extremely friendly.... they learn your name which doesn't happen a lot these days!! Burritos are fresh cooked in the am. Ugh, this place has just been getting worse over the past 2 years. Today, again, no soap AT ALL in the bathroom dispensers (c'mon...just gross), stalls were gross with TP shreds on floor and smeared poop. Obviously nobody checks the bathrooms on a daily basis. This corner store was probably the best gas station/convenience store when my fiance and I first moved to Buckeye in April but since then we have had so many problems here whether their system went down to not having gas. It's been super inconvenient due to their unpredictability. I feel bad for people in Verrado cause this is their closest gas station. Out of towners/cross country drivers do not stop here for coffee, it's honestly disgusting and their creamer machine hasn't functioned right for at least a month now. Edit also-- we have also had an issue with them not labeling their food properly so if you have an allergen really take a look at the store made items to make sure it's the right kind of food for you read more

This place needs to close their doors. The service is bad. They are out of a bunch of stuff. I just ran by to grab an estimate iced tea. Guess what, they were out of iced tea! There was only one cashier and he had a line of 8 people checking out. There was a second cashier who seemed new and was not on the other register. It is obvious they are understaffed, poorly trained, and 2 people are not enough for staying on top of things inside the store (not that I wanted one, but the beer holder by checkout had beers in it but no ice). Yesterday I went to wash my car and the card function was giving me an error. There was a truck ahead of me washing already so I parked the car and walked into the gas station to pay at the register. The girl (blonde teenager) tells me right away "there's nothing I can do about it" when I asked to buy a car wash. When I began to tell her that it does work because there's a truck in there right now she tells me "You can talk to the manager he's outside." Frustrated i just walk out and go back to the car. As I am getting in the car I see that I can pay cash for a wash. Okay, go back inside and now there is another kid there. Male, early 20's maybe 19. I ask him if they give cash back as I only have my debit card. He tells me they don't as they were just purchased by a new company blah blah. I then ask if they have an ATM, they point me to the ATM. At this point I'm frustrated, at the way they were speaking to me. I asked if I pull money out if they could give me change. Right away the girl answers "no we can't open the register" the male says "we don't have coin." I rephrase and say "I mean break a $20 in bills so I can use the car wash?" The girl again says "no." Im like seriously are you kidding? And she says "we can't open the register, you have to buy something." Okay fine. I go to the ATM and pull a $20. Grab a pack of gum and go to pay. I begin to tell the male how they seriously have customer service issues and they could have easily been more helpful explaining the stores policies then just saying "No." He begins to argue with me by telling me I was yelling. I was not yelling. I told him if I was yelling he would know I was yelling. They clearly already had a defense up. He kept talking over me and at this point I just wanted my change and I grab it walking off. He then with a smart attitude tells me "don't forget your gum." I was done with these kids and am not proud of my reaction, I stooped to their level and told him to shove it. Along with a profanity. Im not proud of myself and I apologize to any patron in the store who had to witness me act out of character. This store needs a serious revamp. New owners? Now clean house and get new employees and train them properly. Come on, you're the only gas station in Verrado, this neighborhood is nice and a lot of people work hard to live in this beautiful neighborhood. Not to come home from work to deal with this unprofessional environment. So many things could have been relayed differently rather than just saying "No" with no further explanation. How about "our card reader function is out of order on the car wash. Unfortunately we can't sell them at the register either. You can still pay with cash there is an ATM over there. If you know one of the employees there you can be compensated for a free drink, even thou you know its wrong. Management and the owner must not worry about the cost. When she finally did start taking customers she was still playing with her cell phone and forgot to give cash back to that customer. Located just off the I-10 this is the perfect spot to stop by to grab a tasty snack,drink, or fill up the gas tank.The Corner Store also has very nice car wash if you ever need a quick and cheap car wash.Conveniently, The Corner Store is open 24/7.Inside, the very helpful and friendly staff members do a great job keeping it nice and clean.They offer a very large variety of snacks such as chips, sunflower seeds, gum, beef jerky, ice cream, pastries, candy bars, etc.Along side the the snacks is a great selection of drinks wether it be sports drinks,water, wine, beer, energy drinks, coffee, tea, juices, and so on.They also have fairly reasonable prices for gasoline as well.I highly recommend stopping by the Corner Store. read more

Did a quick stop here for gas and restroom break. They have nice tables and chairs outside for you to have a quick meal, it would have been nice if they had that area shaded in the hot Arizona weather. The restrooms are very clean and in great condition, I hope they maintain this way the next time I return. read more
