I'm just not going to jump on the five star bandwagon here. I ordered two sandwiches and a drink from the stone-faced lady at the register. I mean, if I'm going to pay $17 for that, you could at least pretend to be happy that you suckered me into it. We get to the beach, open our bag, and somehow a sandwich that we ordered had become a wrap in the process. I've been on a bit of a Mexican kick lately and I like to keep it simple. Tacos, burritos, some guac, sour cream, black beans I'm good with this. Now, I have this well known chef/friend down here on the Cape and I told him I had just tried out El Guapos.........well this was just not right said Gabe. In the strongest Spanish accent, "there is only one place I like to go for a good burrito" and that's the Corner Store. Funny enough I had read a review of it from Tracy and thought I needed to hit that spot but now with Gabe, chef supreme singing the praises, my mission was confirmed. Into the small parking lot I go, and from the reviews I realize stay to the right if you want a burrito. I get that message right away. Several young ladies are working behind the counter. You go up to the counter (a little after 1:30 is a good move) and order from a staff member who steams/heats your shell (mine is wheat) and then you proceed to decide the fixings from a sundry selection. Chicken, lettuce, black beans, jalopenos, corn salsa, guac, and rice. I keep sliding to the right (memories of the soup Nazi flash) and I realize I have forgotten the sour cream. Oh no, dear God what to do ......I chicken out and just keep sliding to the right. This slight young lady twists this pound and a half creation into a bulbous burrito that I am embarrassed to have ordered. I hope no one is watching. Grab a soda and the bill comes to $10.00! Into the truck, and I can't wait as usual. In and out, good music, pretty girls and a super operation with incredibly fresh options. The first bite is the money bite. Does it make my eyes flutter, hot enough, and loads of chicken? Yes to all. I hate to say it but I ate the entire burrito before I reached Pleasant Bay on 28. It then hit me .....the sour cream! I LOVE the corner store!!! I've been going there for "to-go" breakfast and lunch since they opened in 2005. I have NEVER been disappointed. The staff has always been helpful and pleasant. The sandwiches are awesome (love the grilled eggplant panini), but the burritos are what keep me coming back. Go in the morning for coffee and a breakfast burrito, or in the afternoon for lunch, all burritos are the bomb. Set up like a sandwich bar, they are made to order. Since we are now in the age of COVID-19, they have things set up so you call in, then text when you get there and they place your order outside. Yelp should add a feature so that once a year you're allowed to give an extra star like a six or seven or eight star rating because this place deserves it. When you enter you are greeted by incredibly friendly staff and the ordering/creating of the food is quick. We were in the Cape for a weekend wedding and in four days had to come here three times. This was the best breakfast I've had in quite a while and it is take away! Can't say enough positive about these delicious burritos, my only regret is not having time to have a panini. Outstanding burritos, panini, whoopie pies, huge cookies and HUGE Rice Krispies treats. Burritos are made with the freshest of ingredients and you pick out which ones to add to your custom burrito. Paninis also have the same quality ingredients and are made to order. Large selection of drinks and gourmet chips. The staff are cheerful and fun. We have a house in Chatham - and have been going to the corner store since it opened. This is a great place to get burritos and sandwiches! The only issue is it's so good here, and there is so little parking, getting a burrito can be challenging. This is a takeout place - but it's fun to just grab and go & eat down at the beach! The place is good all over, and the staff is very welcoming but the food is okay and overpriced! Chipotle or Qdoba will not only cost almost half as them but in my opinion tastes better as well. Just for adding one topping extra, the guy charged me for "overloaded" - I don't feel it fair, even otherwise, they are overpriced. I am not saying that $9 for a burrito is reasonable, but Chatham is the land of the rich, and so it's par for the course here. But price aside, what a find! YUMMY burritos: fresh, perfect choices of toppings and meats and veggies... Try the corn salsa and the guac, for sure. A great place to pick up a panini or burrito on the go - fresh ingredients, friendly staff, tasty food. I often stop in 2 or 3 times a week, sometimes more. Their handmade whoopie pies come in all different flavors (red velvet, tiramisu, peanut butter, and regular), and they have a great selection of chips & drinks to go with your sandwich. It does get crowded between noon & one, but if you go a little earlier or a little later, it's pretty quick in & out. read more

I was really excited to try the Corner Store after reading so many good reviews. I went last week to try one of the famous burritos. I went through the line and picked out my ingredients which all looked good. I couldn't wait to try it! Yuck! It was so bland! Nothing had any flavor. And the wrap was gummy and again, bland. The place itself was cute and the bakery items looked good but I didn't try any. There wasn't much seating and the stools at the counter were way to short. A burrito and drink for $12.00. This place is delicious!!! Stopped on our way back and was not disappointed. We split a chicken panini and steak burrito and both were absolutely amazing. The panini was so delicious!! The burrito was also amazing they had Gouda Mac and cheese for inside the burrito and let me tell you that's life changing! (Corner store if you read this please sell your Mac and cheese to a grocery store so millions can see how yummy it is) the staff was friendly and energetic and liked working there which made it an over all great experience! We weren't expecting to find great burritos on the Cape (having been disappointed by eateries in Brewster last summer), but The Corner Store delivered the goods. Our vegetarian family of 5 visited twice for lunch; we sampled both the burritos and the paninis. Our teen son and daughter really enjoyed their mozzarella paninis, and the veggie burritos were fresh and bursting with loads of options (spring for the guacamole, and add the corn relish). The burrito side was quick service (think Chipotle fast), but we waited about 5 minutes or so for the paninis. Best of all, they offer gluten-free wraps for both the sandwich and burrito lines, so I was able to eat something besides yet another salad. Fresh, fast, friendly and reasonable prices -- we'll go back to The Corner Store next summer for sure. read more
