I can easily say this is the best pizza I have had in town. I absolutely loved the mushroom pizza with the ricotta. It's very rich and delicious and when I reheated it the next day it was just as perfect. Boyfriend got a meat pizza with bolognese sauce and was very happy with it as well. This corner restaurant is one I've driven past many times and always told myself, "I'm going to go there one day." Well, i finally did so here's what I thought. Parking is a little difficult; you either find some in the back or drive to the shopping center behind them and walk. There is outdoor seating but most tables are for two people or sit at the barstools and face the streets. Numerous TVs to watch the news, sports, whatever is up and showing. At first glance you wonder how some of the flavors are going to pair, but I have to say... food was a definite upgrade even though we miss their homemade potato chips. The service was a bit slow, and the menu was pretty limited. We tried the chicken pesto, bbq chicken, and prosciutto flatbreads. The chicken pesto was pretty spicy, so I couldn't really taste any flavor other than the spice. The bbq chicken was delicious, but the added cashews weren't really needed in my opinion. The prosciutto flatbread was decent, but the arugula got a bit wilted on the hot flatbread. The pretzel was extremely salty and not worth $10 tbh. read more

Great little corner bar. Family friendly, our granddaughters seven and ten love to go here with us. Varied menu, great adult and kid choices. Happy hour Saturday and Sunday 3 to 5:30. Great place to stop relax and take a breather while sipping something cold. The granddaughters love the Mesa corn and request to go here just to get some. They make in house potato chips which are always a winner. I found the chips to be a bit over salted but tasty. We also tried the wings, margarita flatbread and pesto chicken flatbread, all delicious,. Wings nice and crispy, done just like we like them. The music was fun and all servers were lovely, helpful, polite & very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. We shared the Nashville Hot () Chicken Sliders, and our favorite: the CT Smashburger Sliders. Yum!! The drinks were awesome as well: original, fun & beautiful. We tried several cocktails: the Prickly Pear Paloma, the Mesa Mom, and the Blackberry Mint Margarita. Too bad I live in LA, because the Corner Tap is my idea of a perfect neighborhood hangout! This is a great little lunch spot. The flatbread is really well done and tasty. We also had a butter lettuce salad that was great. We did not really love the chips as they were very heavy in the salt and not so fresh. They have an impressive selection of tap beers with lots of IPA options and even had a $2 cooler with beers and drinks.There is plenty of indoor seating and being on the corner two sides of outdoor patio seating. With lots of space, this place would be fun anytime but seemed ideal for the Covid distance dining. The service was excellent, prompt and friendly. I do not drink coffee and the waitress commented in kind of a snotty tone that kahlua is a coffee liqueur. I am 55 and have been drinking this since I was 19 and I have never sent one back until that one. My advice. If you do actually put coffee in it. We were in town to visit a museum and didn't feel like leaving just yet, so checked out Corner Tap's website and decided to give it a try. The place is nice with lots of varied seating options and you could tell it was recently renovated. Bathrooms could use a little sprucing up but were okay. Cocktails sounded creative but were not executed very well. The mesa jewel was super-boozy and seemed to be missing the pineapple juice and simple syrup- there was no sweet component to balance it out. Spicy berry margarita was similarly unbalanced. Do the bartenders taste before sending drinks out? Lieutenant Dan pizza was good, lots of crispy cheese crust but overly salty, and seemed to be missing the smoked chicken. The maple bacon sliders had tiny pieces of fried chicken that didn't even cover the buns. Servers were friendly but drinks were slow even when the place was empty. They were also fairly inattentive when it came to checking on us after delivering food and bringing the check. Just an underwhelming experience overall. read more

I Had been wanting to check this spot out since it open up after Giovannis pizza close and sold. I was exited when I read the options for apps and pizza. I ordered Korean style wings, they were not the greatest. the wings had been dried out the Korean sauce was lacking, had a spice but the other flavors, garlic, ginger and sweetness was missing. I also got the jalisco rodeo which is a birria pizza, it was a big let down it was so wrongly treated, the shredded beef/ birria was added in the beginning of the baking process of the pizza which causes the shredded beef to completely dry out and actually burn. As we all know birria is supposed to be a moist shredded beef still retaining some of the flavors and fats from the cooking process/ consume. The pickled onions was a good idea but the pizza needed more they were small amounts of it, same applies to the cilantro and salsa Verde. I had also ordered the party fowl this pizza was definitely more cheese then BBQ smoked chicken. I know I'm being overly critical for this is a tap room that caters to beer connoisseurs or those looking for a drink after a long work week. I did see they have a great selection of beers on tap from thousands oaks to Goleta and some cocktails which I didn't try as I wanted to try the foods 1st. Went there today, ordered two beers, the chopped salad, animal fries and nachos. The food was good, however the service left something to be desired. Our beers took about 20 minutes to come out, which set the tone for the evening. Our waitress took our order and we couldn't get her attention until the end of our meal when she brought us the check. The salad came out a bit faster than the beer, however it was missing the smoked chicken, we tried to get someone's attention to ask about this but to no avail. It's not uncommon for the wait staff to check in after the food has been delivered but this never happened so we just ate the salad as is, without the main protein. The rest of the food was good and came out in a timely manner. My wife was able to get one of the her to bring us some water after waving her arms emphatically. Our waitress showed up right as I finished the last bite, which makes me think she was keeping tabs on us but didn't feel like stopping by when I looked around aimlessly for ten minutes trying to find someone to ask about the missing chicken. She offered to close us out and told me the price. I gave her cash and waited for my change and receipt. A few minutes later after seeing us still waiting there she brought me the receipt. When I inquired about my change she said it was on the way, and went back to get it. When she delivered the change I asked if the chopped salad came with chicken. She said yes I think so. To which I replied, yes I thought so too. End of discussion, no follow up questions about if we enjoyed the salad, if we got chicken, etc. I thought it was rather bold to assume all the change was her tip after avoiding us all night. Usually it's customary to bring the change back and allow the patron to leave the tip on the table, maybe she wasn't familiar with people paying cash and didn't know this unspoken rule. We've tried this place maybe three times, and this was the first time with the new management. We decided that as much as we want to like it, we will not be visiting again. The ambience is chaotic, noisy, and I felt ignored. Boo hoo me. I'll have my pity party elsewhere. read more

We came to this place for lunch today, after seeing the $$$ prices at our intended lunch place Mesa Verde next door- $25 for most lunch entrees?There is plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to eat outside since it was such a beautiful day. I got the steak quesadillas and my friend got the butter leaf salad with cashews and pears. My quesadillas were tasty and had a spicy sauce. My friend enjoyed his salad, although he remarked that it didn't seem to have much pear in it. The friendly waiter suggested that we download the Twism app for a free beer, which we both did! I didn't check out the beer list, but they had my favorite which I asked for: Topa Topa Chief Peak IPA :) The menu is limited, but well-priced and interesting. Most items are around $15. I will go back to try the buffalo mac and cheese- which sounded delicious. I'm glad I finally checked out this place, and I highly recommend it if you find yourself on the Mesa. read more

We live a few blocks away on the Mesa so we were excited to have a new spot to walk to. Sat at the bar, service was friendly and the food and drinks were great! We tried the carne asada flatbread, wings and jalapeño poppers. The food was excellent! Hot and fresh ingredients. They lose a half a star because the acoustics in the main dining area need work, it is SO loud we couldn't really hear each other even sitting right next to each other at the bar. Great spot on the mesa! Stopped in last night for some quick bites and was not disappointed. Hubby and I shared the butter leaf salad (so good), wings (I liked the dry rub more than the buffalo, but both were great) jalapeño poppers (it comes with 4, but I devoured one before I took the pic) and a carne asada pizza (great concept and great tasting). All of it was delicious. Service was great, place was clean, hand sanitizers were readily available and they had heating lamps to accommodate the breeze from outdoor dining. The deep dish pizza is very good. We've had a few and liked them all. Notorious P.I.E. is the favorite. Also like the salads, favorite is the beets by Dre. Pasta is also good. There is a good beer selection. It's usually not crowded outside and dog friendly. There are also little fire pit tables. I would give it more stars, but the children's menu is absolutely terrible. I don't understand it because it's the same owners as Mesa Burger, and the kids love that place. Always good chicken nuggets and fries, whereas Corner Tap is consistently bad. Chicken tenders should not be so heavily breaded that the breading inside is still wet and raw, and the outside is so over fried it tastes burned and crunchy. The kids pasta has been undercooked to the point of still having some crunch. I just don't understand- is there a separate child chef making the kids food? Is it purposefully bad for a reason? For a place with otherwise good and convenient foods, the kids meals are shameful. read more

Corner Tap has been one of my favorite spots to go to with me and my daughter. They always have great customer service even when they are slammmmmed! The manager I think her name was Tarah? We come to Corner Tap at least once a week. The food is always amazing and we love to grab a drink here. All the waitresses are fantastic. The only problem is the manger... Tara. She's extremely condescending. She has been rude to us on multiple occasions, despite us being regulars here. We have also witnessed her being rude to the other employees. I have to say that every other employee besides Tara has been nothing but kind and helpful. We will continue dining here but as regular customers we ask for the owners to reconsider who they appoint manager. Tara needs to go... Other than Tara my rating would be 5/5. read more
