As we wind down our visit, it was time to do take-out. Yes, I'm the dine-in and take-out gal LOL. Cornerstone BBQ (stop #9) had really good looking chicken kabobs sold by the pound at $11.99 per lb. I couldn't resist but to get one kabob. I should have gotten three of them. Chicken meat was so tender and flavorful. Green peppers and onions were super fresh. Yes, it was over $10 for that one kabob, but worth every penny. Both my daughters and I enjoyed it every much. YUMMY! I wanted to get one side to accompany the kabob. I really wanted to get the baked beans, but it's made with brisket which some people may love, but I don't eat beef so it was a no go for me. One of the lady staff recommended the mac n cheese so that's what I got. Mac n cheese was just okay nothing special. They offer complimentary sauces. I got a little bit of the 4 sauces. Most of them were spicy, but one was on the sweeter side and that one was a keeper. Lady staff were super friendly and helpful. Thank you Misses! Highly recommend Cornerstone BBQ! Cornerstone Barbecue was so good! We ordered the Holy Trinity, sausage, brisket, and ribs with two sides, and it was way too much food (in a good way). Next time we'll probably just do two meats instead of three because we were stuffed, but everything was delicious. The brisket was my favorite. It was tender, moist, and packed with flavor all on its own, exactly how brisket should be. Add the sauce and it was even better. The ribs were so yummy, and even the sausage was really good. I'll be honest, I wasn't a big fan of the baked beans or the mac and cheese. I know sides are a big part of barbecue, and those just didn't hit for me personally. But the meats absolutely delivered and the service was awesome. It's located inside Redlands Public Market, which already makes it a fun vibe, grab your food, find a seat, hang out, maybe even join trivia if it's happening. Overall, five stars for me. My cashier was a really nice young lady with colorful cool hair. Told her it was my first time there and asked what she would recommended. We followed her advice and waited almost no time for our food. The portions were perfect for me and my girl friend. The meat was melt in your mouth deliciousness and we didn't need a knife. the beans don't look appetizing at all but do not trust their look, they were so fire. We tried this place for the 1st time, our son highly recommended it. We ordered the $39 plate, brisket was amazingly tender and flavorful, 2 sausages were delicious and had a good jalapeño spice, mac and cheese was good, 3 large candied pork ribs, 2 were tender and 1 was a bit tough. Thank the BBQ gods it was Saturday... beef dino ribs were on deck (weekend only, aka meat-lover's Christmas). Shoutout to Allen, the BBQ expert, who guided us through the menu like a seasoned sauce-sherpa. Then boom... our order arrived and this rib was basically a prehistoric weapon!!! It was MASSIVE!! Caution: I tip big, but for those of you that may not like to tip where you order your food standing up or where you seat and buss yourself, they set their tips at 18, 20 & 25%. FOOD: Super Yummy. We had the 2-meat, 1-side combo and the baked potato. Smoked brisket was tender and cooked perfectly. The pork belly was cooked a little too crispy for my taste, but still tasty. My wife had the baked potato with pulled pork and it was pretty loaded. The only preference would have been a shredded cheese instead of a cheese sauce, but still a good spud! At $24 the 2 meats plate (one side) is on the smaller than expected side for the amount you get. Perhaps more meat or an extra side would be best - but one cannot complain about anything else. The tenderness and flavor on the Brisket was A+!!! The chickens flavor was sharp spicey and soothing deep smoke. A smash hit coupled with their BBQ. Chicken a tad on the dry side but flavor made up for it indeed. This was the BBQ spot inside of the Redlands Marketplace food court, which was lively and fun. Would highly recommend! For date night, I took my wife to the Redlands Public Market for the first time. We were quite hungry and the smell and thought of barbecue immediately caught our attention. We were warmly welcomed, and after quickly looking through the menu, the Holy Trinity seemed to be the perfect option to sample it a little bit of everything. It comes with three meats, which includes brisket, jalapeño sausage, and ribs as well as two sides and we chose the brisket baked beans and mac & cheese. Everything was delicious and for us brisket was surprisingly very tender and flavorful. I appreciate the assortment of different sauces and we samples a little bit of everything as far as sauce is my favorite were the Kansas City and the Ghost sauces. The service was great and the food was ready within 5 min of ordering. I definitely recommend coming to check out this location if you're visiting the Redlands public. First time, long time in downtown Redlands. We celebrated a birthday at Finney's and after walked across the parking lot to the public market. We had already eaten (and drank), so this was basically a scouting trip. Until I saw the butcher counter at CBBQ. They had a "meat box" to go for $40. Marinated tri-tip, marinated chicken breasts and 4 sausages, all shrink wrapped and ready for grilling. The beef was pre sliced and that reduced the cooking time substantially. It could have come with the smallest tips and or instructions. I called and asked the manager from Vine St. for tips. He was helpful. Anyway through luck or skill, I charred the tri-tip on a hot grill and left the inside medium. So tender, so juicy. The sausages were plump and snapped when I bit into them. The barbecue sauces were great but not really necessary with the flavor of the sausage and marinated beef. I was already plotting my return to Redlands to get another box. read more

I ordered a half pound of smoked brisket. The connective tissue was rubbery and the fat was not rendered. I took it back. They gave me pulled pork and it was okay. Brisket should be moist, pull apart easily, and melt in your mouth or it shouldn't be served to the customer. read more

I only had the Brisket Brioche Sandwich with cole slaw on top, sauce on the side. If these sandwiches were free, I'd bet people would have four of them. I don't mean they were small; I mean they were ambrosia. The buttery brioche roll wasn't chewy in the slightest, but it was chewier than the brisket itself. Which was 'like butta' and 2die4. Speaking of dying, something about brisket with bits of juicy fat attached looks deadly somehow, but it turns out that this sandwich has left 'bad' than a sirloin steak and especially a cheeseburger. The ambiance is a Food Hall thing, so if you want more of a restaurant they oddly have another location nearby at the Fox Theater. I tried the marketplace one in Redlands and gave it another try. I ordered the pork belly thinking there's no way of ruining this item. Came here no line pretty slow for a Saturday night at 8:00 pm. Ordered the meat plate waited for about 25 min I was sure I saw my plate in the heating window for around 10 minutes as they just pilled other orders there after mine. I previously tried the bbq platter here and it was great. I came back today and ordered the steak. It was served with roasted baby potatoes and carrot. I ordered it medium and the steak came well done. The potatoes came completely raw and inedible. It also took longer than they told me. I didn't ask for a new steak because we were short on time and it had already taken so long. We did ask for new potatoes as I was really looking forward to those. We waited about 10 minutes and then someone came and said that they were out of those and tried to offer us a baked potato instead. I don't like baked potatoes so I declined. The carrots were cooked well but I paid almost $40 for the plate and the only thing that was cooked right was the carrots. Not sure if I'll be back. If I am paying almost $40 for a steak then it should be cooked the way I ordered it. If I do return, I will define ly not be ordering steak again. read more

Tried this place tonight at the redlands public market and im extremely disappointed. Ordered the 2 meats with 2 sides and the ribs were extremely dry and underseasoned. The mac and cheese was not even creamy and the mashed potatoes were lukewarm. It almost was like the food has been sitting awhile. In order to enjoy this place you have to drench it in sauce. Also extremely overpriced. $33 for one person with no drink and its not even a fancy sit down restaurant. read more
