Haven't been to FD's for many moons. The ribs and brisket were pretty tasty. Enjoyed the variety of sides offered- 4 stars Note: The coleslaw isn't what it used to be. The flavor was ok but I'm not a fan of soggy cabbage. The downside was the poor service and overinflated menu pricing. One star is way to high, the food is DISGUSTING! I don't understand how people can sit there and eat that nasty ass food. Every single item was disgusting. I felt robbed after giving them my money BRISKET: Its a sin what they did to this brisket meat, it was chewy, slimy no fat rendering, it was the most disgusting, grossest, worst, most horrific brisket I have ever tasted in my life. We waited 3 minutes to get seated on a Sunday afternoon, also it was a lot of people inside so they are very fast, the server was very nice and polite, I ordered a sangria and is not on the menu anymore but she still manage to order or make one for me and the best part it was AMAZING!!, the feast was delicious seriously everything was good...also they cooked our meal very fast, we enjoyed our dinner a lot. read more

We had my nephew's graduation dinner here with a party of 14, and our server Shaun) was outstanding. Managing a large group is never easy, but he made it look effortless. He was friendly, entertaining, and patient while taking everyone's order. I appreciated how organized he was. He started by taking everyone's drink orders, then moved on to appetizers, and finally our meals. Everything flowed smoothly, and no one felt rushed. As someone who appreciates LEAN principles, I was impressed by how efficiently he managed our table. Came for dinner with the family and chose to order the Family and Friends Feast. Was able to substitute the chicken for the brisket. Might I say it was a small amount of brisket for a $7 upgrade. My favorite thing about this meal was the honey butter cornbread! The ranch was also delicious especially with the mozzarella sticks (not pictured). Onie was just the best server we've had, at a Famous Dave's. Onie had a funny but friendly personality, gave us some great recommendations & was definitely on top of things. Keep up the 5/5 service Onie! Im a sucker for Famous Dave's. Especially for their cornbread. So moist & so good. Tastes like a cake. So addicting! I ordered the St. Louis Style Ribs. Chain restaurants are pretty much always the same, and this location is no different really. Food & stuff is good and even the take out counter food & service is quick as well. The ambiance was a bit dark but maybe it was just the weather making it seem that way, it was a few weeks ago when those rain storms were blowing in. Service was nice, but short. Prices vary on worth. I personally don't think the ribs are worth it but my husband disagrees. I honestly did like the chicken though. Far better than Lucille's where I got food poisoning everytime we ate there. Would go again. No real negatives or stand out positives. read more

We were well taken care of by Onie on a recent visit to Famous Dave's. We had a table of six and all got a variety of plates. I personally tried the Fish and Chips and liked it very much. The ambiance of the restaurant was very relaxed and family friendly. We had a nice dining experience today. We were sat in a timely manner by the hostess. Our server Onie is always friendly with a smile on her face. She took our order and made it a point to come and check on us while we waited for our food. We order the ribs with 2 choices of meat. The ribs were cooked just right very juicy, the burnt ends and brisket were very tender and juicy. The individual sides are now double the size and shareable. We ordered the mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese both were seasoned just right. The corn bread was good as usual. The restaurant was clean, my table was not sticky as it had been in the past. I've been living in Redlands for a couple of years now and I'm kicking my butt for not going here sooner!! Sacrilege! I absolutely believe that my experience was wholeheartedly enhanced by our server, Sean/Shawn. You can tell a man who loves his job because he couldn't wait to share any and all information about Famous Dave's and the chemical process of smoking rib. It was quite enthralling to hear him speak!! Sean convinced us to try the Burnt Ends as our appetizer. We finished that before he completed his rounds and checked up on us haha, which was every few seconds or so - he's very light of his feet! He convinced us to get the ribs-n-meat meat combo. They're known for their ribs! So we got ribs and the Texas brisket. OH MY GOODNESS. Literally to DIE FOR! Dave's BBQ ruined all bbq for me. Sean was so quick to have our needs met. He really made sure we were comfortable. He answered all our questions. It's so easy to go into an establishment and be treated like a number but Sean made sure we were seen and heard as humans. This was my second time at a Famous Dave's. Both visits were good. The food is delicious. They even gave us a couple extra ribs because the ribs served on our plate were a little short. We loved the appetizer buffalo wings. The blue cheese was yummy. The service is very accommodating and there were plenty of paper towels, wet towelettes, and a sink in the main dining area to wash hands. If you don't mind a loud dining environment it's a good place to get some BBQ. read more

Went here with my family for my brothers birthday, we got there and had to wait for a little bit and the party before us got up and left before being served, with that being said- they absolutely missed out. Our server shaun was the absolute best at what he does and was the best server we have ever had. He had a great sense of humor and was very honest about items on the menu and was very helpful all night. He was very nice and made sure to talk and greet everyone, took our plates and remembered all of our drinks and got us refills. He got a very well deserved tip and was extremely thankful which made him that much nicer. I frequent the Famous Dave's on 27509 W Lugonia in Redlands . IDK Perhaps they are going thru some things. I walked in today for a to go order. Large Chili & ribs specifically asking the lady taking my order if the chillie comes with cornbread.. she replied that it does. I then asked for an additional cornbread indicating I need 2 pieces. Since no one consistently goes over the bagged orders anymore, I guess, I left believing I had what was requested and paid for. Instead we found we were shorted a cornbread. I had no intention of driving back to get another but had no thought that I didn't have the requested order .. I called and spoke with a nameless mgr, I guess, as folk don't identify themselves anymore. I related the issue of the missed item and instead of acknowledging w/ offer to fix the error.. I was told my order does not come with cornbread and to get that I would have to order salad.. I stated I would think the person taking my order and my money would have known this when I asked and she replied twice that it comes with cornbread.. because I don't work there? The representative replied yes, she should have known, sorry about that...silence & crickets and nothing further to say.. My badd for not knowing correctly what comes with the food items ordered..and the info from the server was incorrect, my badd for not knowing the on phone mgrs name.. my badd for the unprofessional training on how resolutions should be handled with order errors, my badd for going in ordering and paying my money and not having enough of what I needed when I got home.. My badd for bothering the mgr with my concern & running into that d--n brick wall. Professionalism in services you pay for is not to be expected anymore ..and when you express concern for errors.. folks act like it's your fault for not knowing ..if you get professional service, it's above and beyond for your money..I'll be mindful in the future and will remind my friends and family that in the Redlands Famous Dave's restaurant.. on Lugonia, it's a "My Badd" situation and proceed with caution if you proceed at all.. if you live in the area.. eh.. maybe it's conveniently located, if not, it's not good enough to look it up and go .. Oh no! What could improve?: customer service attitude, putting staff on the line that actually know the menu .. Mgmt that when errors are brought to attention do not make paying customers feel like it's a customer My Badd situation.. and perhaps some hospitality training for those serving in a hospitality business position.. Starters where onion rings, which were lightly breaded, crispy and hot served with a side of sauce and the macandcheese bites served nicely breaded, with a sprinkle of parmesan, both were delicious! Will have to say NO. 2nd time there wanted to try it again. The brisket had way too much FAT. Cook it and leave it on but cut the fat off the sandwich before serving it. Not interest in eating a bunch of blubber. After dissecting the meat had nothing left. Flavor was just ok BBQ sauce saved it to some degree. Bottom line we will not eat it there again.
