I have been waiting to find the right place to go for chiropractic. I happen to actually stop and talk to on at Th he Sony open, which I normally don't do. I worked for a chiropractic for 6yrs before becoming a RN, I also have been a massage therapist since I have been 19yrs old. So, I am picky!! I wanting to make sure they paid attention to whole body and not just the spine, and they do! They also practice techniques that other doctors not practice here. They are gentle and listen to your body, they go at the speed of your body, which does take time! You will not be fixed in one visit which I know people want to be but that will never happen. I now have been going for a couple weeks 2x a week and I sleep better at night and since working on my ankle I am walking better. Worth every trip in and every penny!!! read more

Continuing from my previous review: Near the end of September, I signed up for 12 sessions, 2 per week for 6 weeks, for which I paid what is for me a hefty sum. I hoped that with all they uncovered, they would be the ones to fix them. At first, I looked forward to the treatments, hoping for the best. As the days and weeks progressed, we settled into a sort of routine. I did not notice any significant improvement that I could attribute solely to the chiropractic treatments - as I continued with my own research and personalized stretching and exercise regimen, unrelated to chiropractic. I did not think chiropractic treatments themselves should hurt, but a couple of them did, repeatedly. Despite my concerns, I chose to trust the process. It was obvious that I would be encouraged to continue receiving regular treatments well beyond the initial twelve. As I was approaching the last few weeks, I inquired about the cost of future treatments, after my current plan ended. I was given a tentative price and decided not to continue at that rate. When I go for a massage, I get worked on for an hour or more. When I was going to physical therapy, I got an hour's worth of treatment. With chiropractic, time is reckoned in minutes. The physical therapy treatments I received were covered by insurance, so I paid a fraction of the cost. With Cornerstone, I pay out of pocket. It is up to me to try to get partial reimbursement from my insurer due to my choice of a non-participating provider. Primarily for financial reasons, I did not see Cornerstone as a good fit for long-term maintenance. I decided after the 10th session to discontinue treatments and phoned to inform them. My current rating of this business is based on my assessment of value received for the amount of money spent. My circumstances are unique to me, and my comments shouldn't discourage anyone else from getting treatments from Cornerstone. The doctor is obviously well-intentioned, and the supporting staff courteous and friendly. read more

Dr. Elizabeth Hodges at Cornerstone is amazing - personable, funny, and talented - she makes me feel comfortable and really knows her stuff! I went in today with a new problem - a "kink" in my mid-back that started two days ago that was affecting my muscles up to my right-sided neck, and she was able to pinpoint the issue immediately and adjust my T-spine - I have complete relief now! I really appreciate the concern and care she shows, and how she works on the core issue(s) and areas causing the actual issues instead of just randomly adjusting the entire spine. I came in with neck pain that was running my life, to the point I had to go home from work periodically and couldn't drive reliably. Meeting with Dr. Elizabeth immediately made me feel seen and heard. She gave me hope in a time where I truly felt hopeless. About six months later, the pain in my neck is nearly gone, and when it flares up it is taken care of right away. We've been able to work on issues I've had for years and with which I thought I'd be living for the rest of my life. My family and I have been going to Cornerstone for over two years now and I've seen SIGNIFICANT improvements with my upper and lower back pain. I started going after having my first baby and the treatments helped with postpartum backaches. I got consistent treatments throughout my second pregnancy and noticed that I didn't have as many problems with my lower back during my second pregnancy. It enabled me to workout throughout my entire pregnancy. I can't recommend Cornerstone enough! From the moment you walk in you're greeted and somehow the front staff always remembers your name. It's super clean inside and just overall welcoming feeling! Cornerstone Chiropractic, and specifically Dr. Austin, is the absolute best Chiropractor I have ever been to. I have had consistent spine pain ever since I was 12 years old after snapping my tailbone. I was always told that I would forever have spikes of pain up my spine among other issues. Ironically, I didn't go to cornerstone for that - I went in for hip pain from my hips being out of alignment. But Dr. Austin did a thorough intake and found all my physical trauma. Dr. Austin and the Cornerstone Chiropractic team are an amazing group of Doctors that specialize in a specific chiropractic care. What I most enjoyed about my initial visit was that they take an x-ray of your spine to get a closer look at what's going on inside. Like building a home, the Cornerstone team focuses on rebuilding your foundation first. Most people have this misconception that if they start seeing a chiropractor then they will have to always see one. Saw Dr. Elizabeth for a new patient visit/evaluation and X-ray. She was very welcoming and had a great bedside manner. I could tell she really wants her patients to be comfortable as patients may be really anxious and concerned about their body. She does a great job educating the patient, having them engaged into the discussion (most times the doctors are the only one talking) to make sure the patient is aware of what is going on, and what to expect out of the treatment. I went in the next day for the X-ray results and got adjusted for the first time. I'm not gonna lie, I was expecting one of those ASMR cracks you see or hear on social media (haha), but it was one big pop in the most bothersome area L5; she treated 2 other areas in the cervical and thoracic regions as well. She did tell me I may be sore the next 24 hours; which it was a little uncomfortable but the day after I felt like a new person! I initially went in due to severe lower back pain when getting out of bed, having real difficulty bending at the waist. Today, I have no trouble doing so with one adjustment. If insurance covered some portion of the treatment, I wouldn't hesitate going back. However, if I do have discomfort again, I know I'll be going back to Dr. Elizabeth. What I also liked about her is that she was ethical, and not forceful in guiding treatment. A lot of times I see medical professionals who go to the extent of order tests unreasonably or redundantly. She gives you the options of treatment and really makes you the best advocate for an individuals health. I've been under Dr. Elizabeth's care for 4 months and have had noticeable differences in my lower back (which used to be chronically sore). I'm able to weight lift more and am less insecure about injuring myself. She's highly observant which makes her excellent at pin-pointing the spots that need adjusting. Cornerstone is different from other practitioners I've seen. Very thorough by using a Nervoscope, analyzing the movement of your spine, and referring to the X-ray we took at our first appointment (which was done in office - very convenient). All staff are friendly and welcoming. We bring our 1 year old daughter to the office and she can cruise around without being judged. She loves Dr. Austin!
