We contacted the company and they told us they would send the guy back out to repair the work, but they never did. Then they told us that the guy Mario, who did the work does not work for them anymore. We ask them to send someone else to repair our chimney . They stopped taking our phone calls and would not answer our text messages. I recommend anyone needing chimney work to stay away from this company.

We hired ChimCare for what should have been a routine inspection and sweep, and instead ended up…read morewith a serious safety incident and very poor workmanship. Their technician left the gas running before ignition, causing a fireball to shoot out of the fireplace while I (and our dog) were sitting next to it. It singed the worker's hair and melted his phone case/phone, this easily could have resulted in a serious injury or property damage. It also became clear during the visit that the technicians didn't know how to operate one of our fireplaces. They had to text photos to someone else for instructions and still could not get the second fireplace working (which we later discovered is controlled by a simple wall switch). Despite the lack of safety and technical competence, we were charged a 50% mid-service up charge for "deep cleaning" sweep, with no clear explanation of what that covered beyond the original inspection & sweep service, all while we were trying to calm our dog, who was scared from the fireball. The stone on one fireplace needed crack repair, but the workmanship was sloppy. Sealant was accidentally smeared onto our marble facade on the outside of the fireplace and not cleaned up, and the color of the sealant doesn't match the stone in our fireplace. None of this was disclosed beforehand, and now it will require further repair to fix. We reached out via phone and email multiple times asking for a resolution and gave the company every opportunity to address the issues. It has been over a month with zero response from management. We are now having to dispute the charge through our credit card company. Based on the safety risk, lack of technical knowledge, the questionable mid-service up-charge, and complete lack of accountability or care to resolve these issues with us, I would not recommend this company.

After coming out to…read moregive us a quote, he gave us a price for the bushes and told us he'd dig up the trees we were looking to have removed for free to keep for his own personal use. We agreed and he wrote it down as part of our quote. After being told 3 different times that he would come on a certain day or sometime that week, still we had no one come. The one time he offered to come we said we were out of town, but that they could do it anyways and he responded, "we can do when you're back. We're normally extremely busy but will find an early day open." They had no problem taking out the "paid" part of the job almost immediately, but now after 2 months of waiting for the trees to be removed, Jeremy, the owner, told us to "go buy a shovel I'm not interested in doing it." Therefore, not completing the job that was agreed upon and in writing. Jeremy is extremely unprofessional and unreliable. We were willing to pay for this from the start, which is why we contacted him in the first place. All we wanted was for the trees to be taken out and now Jeremy is sending us text messages saying "I just want to say thanks for the nice review. Do you think I'm a deceptive sales person to get your measly $600 you don't know this but I'm worth about 10 million I was going to help you dig those trees up or cut them off at the base it didn't matter to me this was to help you out for the free service. You're one review won't affect my 400 good ones take care, pal." Super professional from the owner, huh? 0/10 recommend. Go with a more reliable company.

They are very fast to respond and schedule. They inspected both my chimney and furnace flue via…read morecamera (recorded video) for $550, and determined that the furnace flu needed a liner. When I asked what that runs price wise, they told me that's not their dept. so someone would get back to me. The inspection was Tuesday --it's now Friday and nothing....not even photos or videos of what they took in the flues. I paid but I have nothing. The installers promised me videos. So, be prepared to wait for the results of your inspection. UPDATE: they finally sent me the furnace flue video only on Monday, May 6th (a week after the inspection). Before that, all I had was a few unlabelled photos Unfortunately, this video is too late to have helped my installer. It would have been extremely helpful to have had a video to see where the mortar obstructions to lining the flu were before dropping the liner down the obstructed flue. They, however, got me a quote when I put up this review. The quote does not include removing the mortar obstructions that they, themselves, found in the furnace flu (and which my worker had to chip out the clay pipe and brick wall to remove). Receiving a quote for $3000.00, that does not mention an obstruction in the clay lined furnace flu that they found seems like they are setting me up for a future ask and increase while they are doing the work--which almost seems to me like an intentional overlook since the obstruction is in their video and one photo. I mentioned this to them, and immediately, they took done their quote, so I cannot access it anymore. I think that the video of my inspection should immediately be available for the $550 I paid, and their two workmen assured me I'd have access to it immediately. They sent a few photos on Friday but the workmen said that their computer had limited memory space to take photos so that I'd be able to watch the full videos of their inspections. They used a drone to look at the top of my chimney. I would prefer old school style where they go up to the roof in person. My other chimney guy climbed the roof, while tuckpointing the chimney, and installing my liner on Thursday, and fixed a crack in the crown (which was replaced in 2013) yesterday and tuckpointed some places on the top.Their drone did not show damage that needed to be fixed or any tuckpointing to do (strange on a 35 foot chimney). So, that means that they missed the issues at the very top. The person doing the inspection would not even go into my backyard to put the drone on the backside of the chimney and crown. They found a dead bird in the furnace flu at the bottom, and removed it ,and that was nice. My guy found two more birds, when he chipped out the obstruction, before completing the furnace liner (since the liner would not drop fully until that mortar obstruction was removed). It gives me pause to realise my furnace was trying to vent past several mortar obstructions (significant in size) and 3 dead birds. I'm glad my guy took care of that and that his cost was half of what this company quoted me. I still do not have the furnace flue video or photos or the video the drone took of the top of the chimney. The photos have no detail (far away). They also did not take any time to explain how the water heater is being expelled through chimney flue and whether it should also be expelled through furnace flue, once I get a liner. I heard them talking to each other re my "old school" set up --but not to me, when I asked them for info nor do I see that mentioned in the report. My guy took the time to explain how they would connect and at what angle to the new setup. Some people on here say they inspect your Fire and Carbon Monoxide alarms on all levels of the house --nope, did not happen. I mentioned to them that one fire alarm keeps going off near the kitchen and I was wondering where this alarm resides. I saw the one guy stare up at the ceiling for a long time, while I was paying the other guy, at the end of the visit. Thus, I looked up after they left---yup, that may be the alarm that needs a battery. Too bad he did not care to say something to me while he stared at it. When I've expressed to Amy, who does the scheduling and appears to be a part owner my dismay over these issues, she printed to me in an email that she does not want to email, and that she'd only talk on phone. So they don't want to provide their videos or put things in writing or explain what happened in writing? I'd say this business, well apparently well-loved for simple jobs, is not trustworthy. I'd like my money returned. UPDATE: they sent me back my voided check with no note.
