Perfect spot to fill up, sit in a beautiful spot and relax with nice libation or two! Great service, friendly staff, bustling place . Food and drink always delicious and plated with flair. Casual but still manages to be elegant!

The BEST breakfast in the world! the food is delicious and the people who work there are incredibly kind

We dined here for the first time during Labor Day and had an excellent breakfast. The set up is to go inside and order, then sit outside where a staff member will bring out your order. I like the traditional way of ordering better with tableside service. The staff were friendly and everything was clean. The outside sitting area provides a great atmosphere. I like everything about the outside atmosphere with the white paint on the buildings that contrast nicely with the blue Tucson sky. I even like the font types on the signs. The silverware also stood out to me as it was well worn and may be real silver. I had the Barrio Bahn Mi (bacon wrapped pork & beef meatloaf, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeño, pickled onion, kewpie mayo, habañero nuoc cham, la estrella bakery telera) and the curried carrot soup. Both dishes were fresh and flavorful. This was easily the best bahn mi I have had since living in Hawai'i almost 20 years ago. My mom and wife both ordered the Dutch Babies (tart citrus cream, orange squash marmalade, fresh berries). This dish was also flavorful with a memorable presentation. Finally, the beet cardamom oat milk latte was surprisingly (at least to me) delicious. The Coronet Cafe has my highest recommendation!

Really fantastic! Coronet Cafe is a lovely spot to grab breakfast, lunch or even an early dinner. Food and beverage selections are counter order service with both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The cafe also offers full coffee selections, wine and pastries. For food, the dishes feel intentional and prepared with care, comfortable but not boring, and fresh. My dad and I were in the area and decided to stop by for an early lunch and selected the barrio baguette and butter with sardines, and the breakfast bowl with tofu instead of the egg. Both dishes were balanced, satisfying and just the right amount of food. Not only was the food great but the atmosphere is really top notch. While the Arizona heat is no joke, their outdoor patio is expansive and well arranged with small tables covered with umbrellas. The setting is perfect to catch up with a friend, grab a bite with a colleague, or even bring a date. If the hot temperatures are a little too much, they also have indoor seating in their historic downtown Tucson property. They've done a really nice job preserving the history of the location and adding small touches to accentuate the charm, such as the ornate silverware settings. Five shiny gold stars. Definitely recommend!

Great coffee! Got the cardamom latte and it had so much flavor. Service was great. Outdoor seating area is beautiful. Love coming here.

Today I tried #cafecoronet @coronetrestaurants and got the chai iced tea and sweet potato maple loaf and it was all delicious!!!! The service was also great and the prices were fair I'll be back!! The ambiance was simple and yet classy at the same time.

I finally got to try this place!! This place is a true Tucson gem! It's a luxury to be able to have breakfast here on a beautiful spring morning sitting at their beautiful terrace!!! I ordered their breakfast bowl and it was a bowl of heaven! Drizzle of hollandaise sauce was perfect and I love that they did not overdo it! The servers looked busy but the food came out in a timely manner. I have been wanting to try Coronet for dinner. I hope I can make it happen soon!

What a cool little place. Has a lot of character in charmed located in Barrio Viejo in Tucson. Old Spanish building, friendly service, helpful and knowledgeable about their offerings. We each ordered a different drink and love them. All I would say would be back, but we're just passing through on the road trip

The atmosphere is cute, the prices are a little up there. The hours of the cafe to restaurant is sort of ambiguous and hard to find easily. The latte was pretty.

Brunch on the coronet cafe patio is perfect on even the hottest Tucson days. If you get there at 8 am you can hear the city wake up. I love coming here for the brunch/lunch menu, it never misses. And you can always find a shaded seat outside. My go to items are the Cilbur and breakfast bowl with chutney. I also really like the dragoon session sausage as a side. Kind staff and they come by and check on you even though you order inside at the counter. It's pretty easy to find parking if you circle the block and the neighborhood is very walkable. Great place for a date or meet up with a friend. I would highly recommend the cafe for Lunch / Brunch.

One of the loveliest patios in the city (dog friendly too!), I love stopping in at the Coronet Café for one of my fave coffees in the city, the Mesquite Ras-el-Hanout Oatmilk Latte! Words fail to describe how much I love it so add it to your must-try list! Their waffle with raspberry guajillo honey butter was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that there needs to be a little more of that sauce because it's that good! We also ordered a cookie and a scone; the cookie was really hard (over baked tbh) but the flavors were pleasant. The scone was pretty forgettable but we'll baked. The young Spanish speaking staff member (who worked Wed 11/27) was so kind and helpful. I wish I'd written down their name because they made us feel really welcome and they were just great. And the final reason I love coming to this spot is to check out all the beautiful local items for sale inside the café. So if you're on a strict budget, do not go inside. From jewelry to home goods, the selection is beautifully curated and so tempting!

Learning that the building is over 140 years old made the experience even more special. The moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into a cozy European café, colorful walls, artwork everywhere, an open garden patio, and an inviting open kitchen and dining space. The ambiance alone is a solid 10/10. The setup is casual: order at the counter, then find a table. They offer a wide variety of food and drinks, and the service was warm and welcoming. For drinks, we tried the sparkling lemonade, mimosa, and coffee all excellent choices. For food, we ordered the Market Skillet and French Toast. The French Toast was the star of the meal. The bread was soft and perfectly cooked, topped generously with pineapple, making every bite delicious. The Market Skillet, however, was a bit disappointing. It was heavily loaded with potatoes and lacked the balance of vegetables we were expecting. It ended up feeling like a plate of potatoes with very little else mixed in. Overall, it's a beautiful spot with a unique atmosphere, friendly service, and reasonable prices. We'd definitely return especially for the French Toast and the ambiance.

All 4 of us have extensive experience in the hospitality industry and appreciate the stresses. Since we are unfailingly friendly customers, as so many servers are, & because there were only 6 other customers at your coffee shop at the time, sharing our experience is warranted. We visited the Main Gate shop just after noon on Saturday, 4/18. The barista was wearing a cap & O'Neill-branded t-shirt; he has a salt & pepper beard. Requesting my cappuccino in a ceramic cup, he stated, with obvious exasperation, "You can just say 'for here'." He was also visibly irritated when we requested 3 Dirty Chais of various sizes & shot strength, as if this request was overly complicated. We would have ordered food, but he was so unwelcoming we did not. Nor did we linger. We have visited this location other times and have only been treated warmly. Clearly this barista does not represent the customer service your employees normally provide. You can train people to make a good coffee. Training them to be pleasant is more complicated & best documented. Hence, this review. An unpleasant experience like this has no place in Tucson. It's not who we are & it's not who you are either, I know. We hope this gentleman finds another line of work soon

The line was the usual long line and with my dog, was much better as people talk and pet dogs in line and it went fairly fast. The line was in shade with the nearby tree so it made it that much better. The ambiance is the misters around that are welcomed by all, the pretty tree and greenery and fencing and signage they have used to decorate this small outdoor place so well. The shaded and covered tables outside had various chairs and enough space for people to rotate in and out- esp with our dogs that love the cool brick to lie on:) Now, the absolute best part is the food- still amazingly worth waiting for and delicious!! I got the burrito( basic has potato, egg, beans , cheese) and the protein I added was bacon and extra was guac. Also got the 16oz Dirty Chai. My friend came for first time and was surprised to open her order and find two burritos- I knew and wanted to see her face- she loved the taste and the fact she had lunch or dinner later as one truly is so full of deliciousness- it fills you up! When I finally moved, I thought the hardest part would be adding 30 minutes to my commute. It wasn't. It was losing that daily routine of walking into a place that feels so real and personal. Talega isn't just a coffee shop. It feels intimate in a way that's hard to find now. You can tell Tyler & Rene actually care. Not just about the coffee, but about the people who come in and the community around them. Nothing about it feels transactional. You're remembered, conversations matter, and it feels grounded in something genuine. Their seasonal drinks are what really set them apart. They are not cheap grabs for attention or copies of whatever is trending online. The ideas feel inspired and intentional. (Their maize latte and miso latte were perfect) You can tell there is real thought behind what they put on the menu. It reflects a level of care for the craft that is especially rare. It's been incredible to watch how far they've come since they started. They've grown without losing what makes them special, which is not easy to do. I don't live next door anymore, but I will never stop being a regular and I will never stop drinking the Maize latte (I literally dream about it).

I have to say, their drink was so good that I almost missed being at the finish line in time for my bf! Talega was so intriguing to me that I had to google what it meant. "Talega coffee is an artisanal method that uses a talega, a cotton bag traditionally used to carry coins. Over time, it was discovered that these bags were ideal for filtering coffee, giving rise to this traditional method. In addition, the word "talega" comes from Arabic and means "to hang," which refers to the original use of these bags. The bag is made of cotton, a material widely used in Mexico since ancient times, especially during the Mexica period for making clothes. Likewise, the cotton, made of 100% cotton, is a completely organic product ideal for preparing coffee. Therefore, cotton, composed of 90% cellulose, does not introduce foreign odors or flavors to the coffee and is insoluble in water." via huupa.coffee The owners, Tyler and Renee, were so wonderful. I had such a nice time chatting with them about coffee in general and what a beautiful place and concept and vibe they have at their shop! But, it also feels like you are in the lobby of a very artsy hotel. They have such creative and intriguing seasonal drinks, manzana latte, miso maple flat white, and picca latte. I didn't get a chance to try them but I got their iced matcha with oat and it was so good! Just perfect. I sent my bf and his bro here the next day and they also loved their coffee so much!
