This place has the best diner burgers on the peninsula. We love it here and eat there often

Stopped in here for a burger, on our way out to the beach. Great place - typical fare for a roadside drive-in. We got the mushroom burger & a marionberry shake; really enjoyed both! Plenty of parking here; it's a bit out of town, so you probably wouldn't notice the place if you were doing a normal Longbeach trek. I definitely recommend making your way over here, however; definitely worth it, and the prices are far better than what you will find in the 'downtown' area. read more

Classic drive in food. Place is not updated since the mid 90's it looks like, not even new paint. The fries were not my favorite, but they are a classic crinkle cut that were a little dry. The burgers were juicy and well cooked. A nice burger place to stop at while you're in town. read more

Where to start....so much disappointment. The staff does not wear masks. Normally I would've left, but we were in town and it seemed to be the only place to get a burger for my son. The burger and tots took 30 minutes, no biggie, but the food looked like it had been sitting somewhere for a while and it was BAD. Family tradition to have a burger here when we're in town. We normally enjoy the Corral with cheese, but this time tried The Big Bun Burger! They also have a gigantic Mega Burger which I still have not tried! Maybe next time. Just love this place The food is great, takes a long time to get your order, so call in if you can. The burgers and fries were definitely yummy, but I feel like it was pretty overpriced. With tip we paid over $50 for 3 burgers, fries, and shakes. The wait was also over 30 minutes...they told us 20..but nearly double the wait time. It's kind of shady for them to even ask for a tip before getting your burger as you don't know what kind of service you are going to get. Also when it comes to leaving the tip, they don't even give an option for 10%...it's 15% or higher....While I don't mind tipping, I do mind being co-erced into giving more than I think appropriate for what it is. This was the first place I ate when I came to LBW for my first visit, so it's super nostalgic to me. There food hasn't changed in the almost 15 years I've been coming here, even though they have changed ownership. They have a small space where you walk into, to order your food. The only seating they have is undercover outside, so we always eat it in the car, after all it is a drive in! It can get pretty busy, so it is best to visit on off eating times. I always get a cheese burger with everything on it, fries, and there special sauce. Hits the spot every time! read more

Absolutely none of the employees were wearing masks, they were using their bare hands to prep food, and it is clear nothing is getting cleaned as it should during COVID. The food was mediocre and overpriced and I felt scared about my health going into this place. Stay away if you don't want to get sick. read more

Must have driven past this place dozens of times. Finally stopped in after a good friend recommended it. The wife and I ordered a 1/4 lb Bacon Cheeseburger, 1/4 lb Cheeseburger, an order of French fries, an order of onion rings and a Chocolate / Peanut Butter milkshake. Everything was great! The wait was a little longer than expected, but the burgers were excellent. We ordered them 'just like you serve them' to see how they stand on their own, without any modifications. Tasty! The fries and onion rings were cooked like you'd expect them. The milkshake was really good. I watched the young lady who prepared it add real peanut butter. Mmmmm! We went here because of the good reviews, and I wouldn't recommend it. The staff was nice, and there was outdoor seating, which was great, but we waited at least 20 minutes for the food, perhaps longer, and when it came out, the fries, tots and onion rings we'd ordered were room temp at best. So disappointing! We paid extra for the rosemary garlic fries. I had expected that they would have fresh rosemary and garlic on it. It appeared to have more like a rosemary/garlic salt or seasoning on it. The seasoning was tasty, but even had they been hot, they would not live up to my expectations, compared to other rosemary garlic fries I've had elsewhere. The burgers were fine. The price was not a particular value. I would not go here again. read more

Yee-haw! Head on down to the Corral for some tasty burgers and fries! The Corral Drive In is a burger stand (and basically anything deep fried) with a few picnic tables north of Downtown Long Beach, Washington. The menu includes typical hamburger stand fare: varieties of burgers with and without cheese, bacon, and number of patties and the assortment of fixin's. They also have shakes. The menu also has generous sized kids' meals too. They have signs advising they are not a fast food stand and all meals are made-to-order. So don't go there thinking you'll order and drive off in a minute or two. It does take some time, but it is worth the wait. I wouldn't expect anything on the menu to be endorsed by the American Heart Association, however. This place is the home of a huge burger the size of a pizza that feeds 6-8 people, and I believe it is called the "tsunami" burger. I hadn't seen one in-person, but they have some photos of past customers' huge burgers and they really are enough to feed a team. They have to be ordered in advance (a whole day?) as they take a long time to prepare. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Overall, I have visited this place on my last two trips to Long Beach and was satisfied with my experience both times. read more

Got here promptly at 11am. Ordered a 1/4 lb. bacon cheeseburger to go. It took about 6 minutes, and it was delicious. It was a little spendy, $8.05 with tax just for the burger, plus I left a tip on top of that. Only wish they would use whole leaf instead of shredded lettuce. Great burgers! If you're looking for a place out of the main strip of long beach, come here! Not only was there a recommendation from our resort but by locals in our area north of Seattle. Burgers were flavorful, as they should be. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger, I could taste individual components and the burger itself. Wonderfully messy burger and fantastic crinkle cut fries which came unsalted (love this as I was able to add a small amount of salt). Also ordered a peanut butter milkshake which was great and thick! Some outdoor seating on the side and a clean port o potty out back. Partial covered seating. It was windy but sunny but it's also March so weather can be unpredictable. $36 for 3 burgers, two fries, a pop, and two shakes. I have a feeling we'll be back. read more

The people complaining about the prices should really visit a McDonalds some day. Guess what... In 2013 burgers are 6-8 bucks a pop. That's life, For the price of a Corral Drive in Burger you can get a Big Mac at McDonalds. Quarter Pounders at Mcdonalds are more expensive then burgers here. Honestly I'd rather have a Corral burger then fastfood from a chain but maybe that's just me. If you want there is a McDonalds in Long Beach if you want to comparison shop but remember you are on vacation in a small beach town. Support the locals instead of the chain. No they don't have a 99 cent menu, no they don't have unlimited refills on soda but they do make one heck of a burger. Chances are if you are eating here you are on vacation. Spend the extra 3 bucks for a shake its worth it. All in all good food, the only reason I took a star away was the staff was actually not as friendly as people here have mentioned. Have been coming here for the last 15 years and never had a bad meal. Today however was a first. I should start by saying the food was just as expected, great. However the service was very poor. After spending $30 on food we asked for fry sauce, the lady said 25 cents each. Now we never paid for sauce before, but I'm not going to throw a fit about a quarter . However when we went to pay for the sauce the price magically jumped to 35 cents which turned into 38 cents after tax. Telling a customer the wrong price doesn't matter. If you say or advertise 25 cents then that is what you have to charge. Quarters aside, our order wasn't exactly correct. Neither was our friends family who joined us. As we were leaving the car next to us was also complaining they didn't get what they ordered. Bottom line, great food, will be coming back, not happy about my service today. read more

If the prices were lower, this place would rock my world!!! Decent food with a great selection, but just pricey. Had a great oyster basket and chips, and my mate had fish and chips that she quite enjoyed. I was surprised that they were freshly battered and not previously frozen Hot dogs are large and very filling. Burgers are flavourful. I was disappointed in the flavour of the malts....many flavours to choose from, but ours were pretty bland tasting. Sad, because historically a place like this should be over the top when it comes to the sweet treats. Things are made to order, so it takes time. When they are slow, they are very slow. Staff are always friendly though. Seating is in an outdoor patio area on uncomfortable picnic tables, so plan accordingly. Port-a-potty facilities as well. One would think that the spartan location would keep the prices down, but I guess we can't think too much. read more

You'd do better if you bought a little propane grill, some ground beef, some buns & condiments, set it up on the beach, & grill it yourself. We broke the bank on this lunch. I found the prices, for the quality of the food, to be outrageous. Burgers were mediocre. It felt like I was having a ground beef puck (you know, those plastic frozen sacks of preformed beef burger patties they sell everywhere for dirt cheap because the beef is of lower quality) that left me feeling less than satisfied. The fries were alright. I am a bit of a fry snob and these larger cut fries were only okay. We got 2 milkshakes because of all the raves in the existing reviews. Both of the shakes wound up not being consumed they were so bad (overly sweet in an almost artificial way). Seriously... After you buy a portable grill and the ingredients you'd have spent the same amount of money. I hate to be so hard on a joint. I just feel that when I drop this much coin somewhere, it has to be decent. We could have gone to a fast food drive through, spent 1/2, and the food would have been way better. I also wonder if they could even change it up? This place strikes me as a tourist funded destination in a place where quality ingredients are going to cost WAY more. I've been to the Corral off and on since I delivered newspapers on a bike with one speed ( in the '70's ). My wife and I have never received a bad burger or shake.
