Went into store to purchase two pleco fish which they sold me for a price of just under $7 . I go in the next day and try to buy another pleco the same pleco I bought the previous day and the guy rings me up for $13 each. So I ask him why the change in price . He says the employee had given me the wrong price the previous day. So I ask to speak to the manager and he just calls him on the phone and tells him the situation and says he would give me 15%off the price. At that point I just get frustrated with the employees and leave. A week goes by and I decide to give them another try and go in and buy the pleco fish for the $13. I go in on Sunday and ask to purchase the pleco but the employee says it's $24 I'm like what you mean last week they were $13. He points to the Adonis pleco price. This employee didn't know what he was talking about because that was not an Adonis pleco. Seems like employees here don't know the merchandise they sell. i recommend you educate your employees on what you sell in the store. read more

They have everything you could possibly need for your pets, horses and livestock and if by chance they don't have it they will order it for you and have it at the store within a couple of days. The customer service is impecable and Ely is very knowledgable about pet nutrition. My friend recommended a rat trap called the Ratinator. He said he bought at Corralitos Feed and Pet Supplies. I noticed that there were two stores so I went to the closest one near Speedy Oil change. I was helped out right away and the associate told me that his store did not carry the product but the other store should carry it. He called the other store to confirm that the trap was there. But, nobody answered the phone call. I offered to drive over since the store was not too far away. At the second store, I was helped out. I mentioned the name of the product but the gentleman never heard of it. I told him that the other associate at the other store knew of the product plus my friend bought the product from this store. The gentleman said the product may have been special ordered by the owner. I asked for the owner. The gentleman responded that the owner will not be in until 3pm. He took my name and number for the owner to call me. NO PHONE CALLS after two days. I will not come back to this store. The Tractor Supply company sells this product and I will do business with them. read more

I've been going to Corralitos Feed, even after I moved to Salinas. The service is, by far, the best. I've gone to different feed lots in my area however, they are either high priced and quality is non-existent or the price is great, but they're always out. Ely goes the extra mile to make sure he has everything we need. I do not have a problem driving 40 minutes to get what I need for my horse. He absolutely goes out of his way to make things happen. I was looking for a more reasonable priced Poultry feed after Tractor Supply raises prices on there feed. I'm glad I made the right choice to visit Ely @ Corralitos Feed & Pet Supplies his store has everything you need to get your animals feeling full and happy if its not there he will make it happen. I appreciate and feel enthusiastically about the locally owned small stores like this one where the owner works there, helps you when you arrive, and politely loads your car. I have frequently found the prices for alfalfa hay and Rope and Ride to be favorable by $5 to the larger feed store in Santa Cruz while they were charging $24.XX per bale for Alfalfa. And I have never had more than one other customer ahead of me to wait for before being helped. In fact, I would never have singled out wait time as an issue here as a previous reviewer had done and if they have had an unusual purchase made ahead of them like a truck full of hay, then yes they might have waited longer than usual. But I shop there every week and that as never happened to me ever since the the time when the store has opened years ago. Incidentally, the removal of two other favorable reviews before that person's surprised me. Especially since the review that was allowed to remain wanted to plug the store next door. I was actually biting my tongue on that note as far as my experience was concerned. But back to this store though, I have thought that the selection is excellent with its wide variety of equine essentials plus many dog supplies without the extra pricey mark up, which was also a very nice surprise when I needed equine shampoo and fly spray and found items I wasn't expecting like wraps, halters, blankets, buckets and dewormers to name but a few. The close proximity of the store to my home is also valuable with gas prices on the rise. I am definitely a fan :) and I see no need for improvement! read more
