There was some slow piano spa tunes on repeat (totally unnoticeable once you tune out though) and the sound of trickling water in the background. They offer Swedish or Deep Tissue Massage. I went for the 60 minute Deep Tissue massage. That comes with the hot stones. The prices online are cash prices though which are basically $10 less than credit card. So FYI. Susan was my masseuse, and she finished the job nicely with some superb pressure while asking me if I was okay along the way. I quietly took the pain and no regrets for doing so! I had a knot in my lower back from trail running the other day. It is no longer there! What a great find. Get your knots and stiffness rubbed out here for less than many other massage joints. I'm currently operating with zero tension and tightness in my body and feel like a rubber band again! :D

I was familiar with Breathe Yoga Studio already so I knew exactly where she was located but for the uninitiated, Breathe is in the shopping center at Pollard and Winchester. Aldo's Ristorante and The Garret Station are in the same center. Parking is ample. The studio is small and serene and the massage room is in the back behind the tea bar. Check in with the receptionist and they will let Shannon know you're there. The room itself is very nice and has a huge bathroom with a shower attached so that you can rinse off before or after (though, I wouldn't expect to spend a lot of time primping unless you make prior arrangements.... time may be a factor). Shannon is very straightforward and open. I found her easy to talk with and give feedback to... More quiet massage was also very comfortable. this review is about a year overdue, but better late than never!…read more i scheduled a 90 minute massage with shannon about a week before my half marathon since i knew that my muscles would be needing some tender loving care the day after the race. it was easy scheduling a time with shannon, i called her, left a voice mail with my preferred day/time and she called me back shortly thereafter and we confirmed an appt. when i came in, my legs were definitely quite sore and tight, so i came in hoping that shannon would be able to ease the tightness, flush out the lactic acid, and get some blood circulating back in my quads, hamstrings, and calves. we spent a few minutes discussing my needs and current status, and shannon told me that she regularly works on tri-athletes and is therefore very familiar with athletes' muscles. since i was fresh off a "stressful" event, at least, for my body, she said that she would not be giving me deep tissue treatment, but rather a lighter, swedish to help loosen up the tight leg muscles. she used long, smooth strokes on my legs, and took her time in breaking up the tight muscles and adhesions that had formed as a result of the pounding from the day before. she also spent a good amount of time on my back since that was a bit sore as well, not quite as sore as my legs, but still in need of some attention. overall, i received an excellent massage, and shannon definitely has a great feel for the body. aside from the fact that i had just completed a half marathon 24 hrs earlier and was quite sore from the waist down, i didn't have to give her any additional information in order for her to give me a fabulous massage.
