A steam, hottub and a cold plunge! They also gave us totes with robes so we could move to and fro areas. The massage was the best massage Ive ever gotten. It was a deep tissue with I believe her name was Jessica or Jesse. It was dim and very relaxing! I will say this place was pretty pricey so I'd do it for a special occasion! The only blip, and it really is a small blip is that one of the front desk ladies misheard my friend when she said she was paying for 2 of us and charged her for 3. We able to sort it out amongst ourselves (Thanks zelle lol) but they were very apologetic! I'll be sure to come back for an anniversary or something!

One hour is a good amount of time to relax, without feeling rushed. I do wish they provided robes and slippers as it can be inconvenient to use the outside bathrooms if you're already wet. Pro tip: keep your shoes/socks slightly elevated to keep them dry when you go in/out of the various water sources. If management is reading this, consider having a shoe rack in the tub rooms so that shoes and socks don't accidentally get wet and lotion in the bathrooms.

It was the first day in several months the full remodeled facility was open. I was expecting a vastly different experience due to how long the remodel took. It was clean and more minimalist decor than before. I preferred the round lounge chairs in the communal sanctuary, rather than the two couches that were pressed against the wall... like they were in time out in a dental office. The steam room was new, but eucalyptus smell was overpowering. I thought perhaps it was a cleaning chemical. After reading the description, this was the intended smell. The sauna was new and very nice. As far as the service went. It was average. We have never had massages that started at the feet. This is where a massage usually ends. It started at the feet and moved up the legs. Then from the shoulders to lower back. It felt like tension was left in the middle of the body rather than a head to toe flow. No work on the gluteus mussels. Customers are paying for the use of the facilities. If you are looking for an average massage, and a day of escape and relaxing at an exorbitant cost. This is the place for you.

My masseuse Antoinette asked me which area I wanted her to focus on, and I said my shoulders. She asked if I worked on a computer (I said yes); then she tried to talk me into changing from my swedish massage to deep tissue massage for $10 more. I told her I didn't like deep tissue and she tried to convince me that "we're not going to put you in pain". After this, when she was selecting the massage oils, she also tried to upsell me on a more expensive oil option. And then when she finally worked on me, it felt like the pressure just wasn't strong enough, and the whole time I'm thinking it was because she wanted me to upgrade to a deep tissue. Very disappointing. Is it worth the price, I don't think so.

I've been hesitant to write this review because Mahin (the owner) seems like such a nice person,…read morebut I'll just have to lay the facts out there about my experience so that you can decide for yourself. I've had many services here, including the hammam spa treatment, facials, and body wraps. Everything has been fine except for the facials. Regarding the facials: I've had problem skin that I was managing OK by myself, but I wanted better skin in preparation for my wedding. Mahin told me that the products I was using were too harsh on my skin and that if I got facials with her and used the products she recommended, my skin would become awesome. She mentioned previous clients whose skin she has turned around because these clients followed Mahin's regimen. Well, I was curious so I decided to try it. She seemed so nice and so genuine, so convinced she could help my skin. After 4-5 months of facials twice a month & following her skincare product regimen carefully, my face was worse than it started out. Acne, scarring, etc. By then, it was 2 months before the wedding... that's when I finally quit Mahin. Too late, though -- with all that acne and scarring, I needed a really thick spackle-job of makeup to cover it all up on the wedding day. So, fair warning. Maybe Mahin's expensive facials-and-products regimen works for some people, but it certainly didn't work for me after months of trying it and a lot of money down the drain.

I just returned from the Inspiration Day Spa in Menlo Park. :)…read more I am Extremely happy with my facial. It was the best facial that I have had in a long time. I can see immediate results. In fact, the entire time I was getting the facial, I was thinking about booking my next facial. It was That Good. Not only did she include dermabrasion, I got several masks, extractions and a long neck foot and hand massage. I noticed other regular customers coming in after me who had Gorgeous Skin. I can't wait to become a regular client and finally get my moneys worth. The bottom line is we want results right? We want to look younger and have the fresh glow to our skin. Just so you know, I have many years experience getting facials. I spent the big bucks for the best facials in SF, NY, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Maui, Miami ect.. For many years I drove to Union Square for my facials. In fact, 77 Maiden Lane was one that I frequented. I also lived in Manhatten and spent $$$ getting facials at the Bliss Salon and then the Four Seasons. I have had facials at the Ritz Carlton and many luxury spas when on vacation. After moving back from NY, I decided to try the Elite Spa in San Mateo. It was rated high by Yelpers. I was very disappointed with the results. (There was no dermabrasion and my skin broke out a few days later! It cost 175.00 by the way.) I am sick of wasting my money on the trendy day spas that offer a 1 hour facials that are exactly 50 minutes. I refuse to go to large spas where I might get just anyone. I am tired of painful extractions and breakouts after the facial. Mahin is like a Doctor when it comes to facials. I don't know any other way to say it but she is who I have been looking for. Note: Do not be put off by her store front. Once you get inside, it is luxurious and you will walk out looking years younger.
