AJ's skill is extremely unique and my entire body feels better after his magic. Before an appointment one time my shoulders and neck were quite stiff and after the appointment I immediately felt it was easier to turn my head to check my blindspots while driving home. His ear massages put me to sleep almost immediately in the best way possible. To me, his massages can feel more effective than full body hands-on massages as it truly feels like energy can be released through the specific points he works on and he seems to be very in-tune with what the body needs. My mood is always elevated after an appointment, the worst part is when the appointment is over and my body is wanting more. I discovered him through a former reflexology practitioner in the area who moved away years ago and I am SO glad AJ is available! His style of massage is very hard to find. While traveling in other states I haven't been able to find anyone who matches his skill level in truly understanding how effective reflexology is and how healing it can be. Can't recommend him enough!

I got there and she says that I never called when I showed her my phone with their number she just looked at me and said she had only 45 minutes. But I booked for one hour. Ok then she says I have to pay before the massage which I thought was odd but then said ok figuring they may get people who leave. Then as I'm getting ready she says I have to pay her $20 tip!! Bc that's her money and the $60 will be her boss's. What the actual heck. Ok so the massage was ok and I thought ok maybe she redeemed herself BUT I realize she only did a 40 minute massage!?? So I told her that and she looked as if she had no idea what time we started! I still gave her the $20 but in exchange I'm leaving this review. I will never come back and I hope the next customer reads this because my experience was unbelievably crooked!!!

Corey rocked my world with her genius know-how and intuition back in 2006 -…read morehttp://www.yelp.com/biz/in-symmetry-san-francisco#hrid:ZVFlsyjOQYjPJROFWrzmhQ. So - when I got her newsletter - a week or two ago - notifying me to her new location in Palo Alto, her April specials, and her Katz Meow treatment - I knew I had to return for a dose of her talented touch. I even went all the way down to the Peninsula on Caltrain on a sunny day (which, for those who know me well, is typically reserved for art sessions in Hippie Hill) for Corey :) But the trip was worth it. Corey is phenomenal. She's not only one of the most gifted estheticians that I have ever been to, but she's also incredible at bodywork, and just a fun, loving, and good person. A session with Corey will soothe your body woes, your face troubles, and it will feed your soul. That may sound hokey - but it's true. Corey has always strongly believed in nourishing the skin with natural calming and moisturizing products. But at her new practice - in Palo Alto - she now couples all of the elements of a well executed facial with healing wonderful bodywork. The rationale is that skin and the body are intertwined and if your body is stagnant - your skin will most likely be as well. So why not address both - in a mind blowing session of pampering and attention. Corey's been doing bodywork for an extensive number of years now - and as Ingrid S - pointed out - she even used to work with high profile bands and Broadway productions. My whole Sunday session with Corey was pure bliss. She fixed the alignment of my neck and back. She eased my muscles and encouraged blood flow in my back with cupping (http://www.itmonline.org/arts/cupping.htm my first time trying it). She massaged my fingers and feet with heavenly smelling lavender lotion and then proceeded to plump my skin with her carefully selected products and soothing use of hot and cold stones. Purely euphoric. What's particularly comforting for me - is that I know my skin will stay fresh and glowing, long after the treatment - thanks to the products that Corey uses. Corey doesn't try to oversell you when it comes to products and has whittled down her product list to a very select few things - - which are all gentle, but effective for the skin. If you don't like a product or have issues with a certain product - she encourages you to bring it back or to ask questions on how to best use it. I've tried a number of estheticians in the city, and while I've sung the praises of a handful and have awarded one or two - five stars - I truly reserve the utmost praise for Corey. Corey does her craft because she loves it and is passionate about it. She focuses her all - on all of her clients. You feel special when you enter and leave her peaceful sanctuary. Sashaying back to the Caltrain, with loose relaxed shoulders, I kept on staring at my reflection in car windows. My clean, fresh, and luminescent skin shone brightly on both dusty and just washed car windows. Trust.

I have been seeing Corey for about 6 years now and she is amazing. I went to her for major TMJ pain…read moreand head tension and while there is no cure for this other than changing your own habits and posture every time I see Corey I am significantly better for months and months after. Corey's work combines multiple different areas making a visit with her truthfully worth it.. you get the relaxation , deep tissue work and benefits of a massage, the adjustments you would expect at a chiropractor, and deep pressure Rolfing techniques. While the procedure inside the mouth for tmj is painful it is a good pain as you can feel the immense amount of tension and knots being released. When I see Corey she really considers the patient as a whole not just looking at the jaw but understanding it's all connected throughout the body. She has furthermore helped me address other issues such as back pain, sciatica, foot pain from making the wrong movement while exercising etc. She is truthfully a miracle worker and I highly recommend a visit with her she has and continues to help me tremendously!

I appreciate the clear and simple system online for booking a massage in advance. Received multiple…read moreemail and text reminders about my appointment, too. Plenty of free parking lots and street parking nearby (street parking limited to 2 hours from 9-6pm, except Sundays and holidays)... I parked right in front of the entrance on a Sunday afternoon. Got the combo massage (30 min foot, 30 minute body) which was $50 + $5 additional charge for credit card payment. It was more like 10 minutes on the feet and 50 minutes on the rest of the body. This massage was half clothed. My masseuse had me remove my top and wear a spa wrap garment, covering my upper body but open on the back. The shared massage room had four beds total with curtains that could separate the individual spaces to make them more private. The environment was dimly lit with soothing melodies playing in the background. The pressure during my treatment was good, on the strong side as requested, with the use of hot stones, heated pads, and ashiatsu. I was surprised to find they do back walking in the shared room, but I don't mind a variety of techniques being used as long as it's effective. I honestly don't need all the extras (like burning stones and fancy coverings), just a simple massage focused on loosening my knots. And my masseuse did that for the most part, though she was more successful when using her elbows and forearms. Staff was friendly here too, even with limited communication. Overall, I had a positive experience.

I had booked lymphatic massage with Jane's Therapy after seeing great reviews about her massages…read more I received reminder via text message which was helpful. She's operating out of her home in Santa Clara. Finding her place was easy- she also came to parking area to make sure I find the place. A few things that led to a meh experience- I have been to multiple places, including some who operate out of home, so naturally I'm comparing against those. This one felt weird. 1. The table is set up in the living room with one divider to cover shorter side (head) only, so the table is exposed in the longer side and quite open, with almost zero privacy. 2. Communication: I was expecting lymphatic massage but she suggested lymphatic is not good as it is very mild. Instead she would do a combination of lymphatic and will use pressure points. She kept pushing for it so I reluctantly agreed. During the massage she checked a couple of times about pressure, which was good. However the massage itself was just okay. Towards end of the massage she said her fingers hurt because she had to massage using fingers vs elbow. And she asked if I still wanted lymphatic but we are already at one hour at that point - that felt very off and weird. I declined because I didn't know if that would mean extra cost or not. It was also weird that she rolled her eyes as it to indicate it's a burden for her. The bed was warm but room was cold, with sofa and all open mess around. Overall it was pretty bad experience. It could be because she operated out of her home, but it was weird.
