I used him for 2 years until I got an offer from a friend who was a little cheaper so against my better judgement I went with the cheaper service. I was dead wrong. So my story. Bought a new house that had a pool in disarray. Had no idea what's what. The pool heater wasn't working. So called my home warranty company. They denied the claim as a rad had chewed the wires. Wanted $690 to fix it and said I'd likely need to replace it for 2800. So I came on yelp and found Corwin. They were out there next day and properly diagnosed and fixed the issue for 150. Also found a few minor issues that they are willing to fix for a very fair price. The tech Jason was willing to spend extra time and go over the pool with me; for example I never even knew it had a waterfall feature. Dan is extremely prompt in replying to emails. We bought a house with a pool a couple of months ago. We had no idea how to take care of it so we started calling pool guys. I tried for days, but these other business just did not respond. The first time I called Corwin Pool Service, he answered the phone. They came out to my house within a couple days of me calling, gave me an estimate for weekly cleaning, and we hired them. They took the time to educate us on how to care for the pool. They did not try to up sell us on anything and cleaned out the filters rather than replacing them (because the filters had more time). Further, we had a leak in the pipe connected to the pump that was haphazardly "repaired" by the previous owner. The guy fixed it right away and the charge was menial compared to what I thought it would be (well under $100). They recommended a vacuum, but did not pressure us. We eventually requested the much needed vacuum (they were right), and they brought it out shortly after my request. They come every week to check our chemicals and clean the pool. There is somebody home at my house at all times so we can verify that they come every week. Every person I have encountered at this company has superb customer service skills, and the price is absolutely affordable. Dan and his team have done outstanding pool service for me. His team are prompt, friendly, and do a thorough job every time. Dan answers my calls and is very knowledgeable about the business. When I first started using him, he noticed that I had pop-up cleaners built-in to the floor of the pool but was using a roving vacuum to clean the pool. He said that the pop-ups could be fixed and got them working. Now, I no longer need the vacuum in the pool. I found Corwin Pool service via the Next door site, several years ago, after our former pool cleaning service just stopped showing up and attempts to contact them went unanswered. I reached out to Dan, he called immediately and showed up within an hour or so. We started service that day and have been so pleased with the company. I have chatted several times with the young men who have cleaned our pool and they have all been so friendly and readily answer any questions we have. We have an older pool with a built in cleaning system under the floor of the pool that has given us fits. After opting to go with a vacuum system and weekly cleaning by Corwin pool service, it stays much cleaner. We find the weekly cleaning service to be ideal, given the winds we have here and the rates for weekly cleaning are good. We have found the company, as a whole to be professional, answer questions within a timely fashion, and we are always informed via email or text if there are changes, issues, or information we need to be aware of. Asked for estimate on dollar sized plaster repair and seal for entire pool, said they had a solution, emailed pool info, nothing for two + weeks. Power washed, Leslie's pool plaster patch job and filled pool back up before it for too hot (sun heated plaster empty pool will crack with cold water fill). Guess I'll wait another season. I called Dan & he was available the same day we called and came to give us a quote. Ever since COVID hit I have had to cut down on my bills to get by. My pool service was no exception. Unfortunately it seems as though the quality of my service had been cut down as well. I think I've been with this service for about 2 years. Dan Corwin is the owner who came out to visit me when I first went with his pool service. After that I never saw him again and only dealt with the pool guys that he hired. Anytime I ever had a question or concern I could never get a hold of Dan or it would take him hours if not at least a day to get back to me. So I finally had to ask him the number of the guy who is cleaning my pool so I could stay in communication with him. I recently cut my service back to every other week in March and since then it has been difficult to say the least. Sometimes the pool guy shows up and sometimes he doesn't. Then when I receive my bill I am being charged for an entire month. I was also charged four months ago for a filter cleaning that never happened. We actually had to clean the filter ourselves. I have been charged full price twice since then and have tried to communicate with the owner that I am on an every other week schedule. He says that he forgot and that he has a post it note stating that I have requested every other week and that he has detailed notes. He also claims that I am the only one requesting every other week service so that's why he keeps forgetting. Although I would think it would be easy to remember if I am the ONLY client who has every other week service. And I felt that his email was trying to make me feel bad that I was putting him out in someway by having to come every other week. The last thing I need is to feel shamed by my pool guy for having to cut my bills back due to this pandemic. The last bill I received was for another month charging me full price and also charging me for a ANOTHER filter cleaning. When I emailed him and asked him why he charged us for a filter cleaning after we had just cleaned it ourselves a few months ago he said it was automatically scheduled twice a year. I made him aware of that fact when we did it so there should have been detailed notes regarding that fact as well. I just recently hired a new guy to service my pool and the first thing he checked was my filter. And guess what? It had not been cleaned in a few months. If you hire this service, you will need to check everything and make sure that the work is being done and make sure that you are not being overcharged for services that you are not getting. Being new to Las Vegas we needed to select a pool service. So of course we went to Yelp and looked around. We ended up selecting Corwin Pool Service due to the good reviews and the proximity to our house (made sense as initial logic). So we rolled the dice.... Met Dan, the owner, on the first service appointment and told him that we were new to owning a pool and needed to start from the basics (like how do we turn on the waterfall? Or where exactly do those knobs need to be turned to?) Dan was great in getting us setup and even went and got a new mechanical pool cleaning sweep (by the way the unit he suggested and we bought - rocks. Our pool is almost always sparkling, and by the end of the day, the little guy has the whole pool clean. Wasn't cheap, but worth every penny). So now we are 2 months in to using Corwin Pool Service and had enough background to write a review. In short - love the service. Always show up on our scheduled date within a usual time range. Pool is sparkling as sparkling can get. Experts at being non intrusive - sometimes I don't even know they showed up that day but see evidence they did with the sparkling pool and cleaned out filters. As another side comment, I needed a few recommendations, like who to go for winterizing our solar heating, and he has always recommended gems (Dan is like a mini Yelp when it comes to all things pool and landscaping).
