In general, I don't have an issue with the company as I do with their employee. They generally do a good job with cleaning. However, while I initially gave them a one-star review, I upped it because they thoroughly clean the pool. However, they have real issues with customer service and communication. I reserve the right to lower the score based on any negative responses from "Randy" as I see he acts negatively to bad reviews on here. The Pool Doctor employs a very passive-aggressive employee. He was caught openly complaining in our backyard about our pool vacuum getting stuck (and openly complaining on our ring video) and, frankly, making a scene. They also charge more than most other pool cleaning companies and then short you on chemicals because they are costly nowadays. Then claim your pool doesn't need them and the levels are fine, but still claim there are algae. (Yet chlorine tabs kill algae). When they take more than a week of scheduled breaks, they do not include extra tablets -- in those cases, none at all -- which would help. The worker also claimed that a new pool cleaning was included in the service, then a month later charged us for said service. (This is per the person who let them in and gave us a quote). The same worker then claimed we needed to fix our popups, or he would REFUSE to service our pool. Look at this crazy response below: "So, to answer your question, if you aren't willing to follow the advice you pay us for, allowing for proper pool circulation, we can't service your pool. It will get warmer, you will get more algae, and we will be having the same conversation about water circulation." We had the same pool service employee for nearly eight years before he sold his business. He told us not to fix them because they break too often and do not work. Again, who dictates terms to a paying customer with a negative, passive-aggressive attitude? Why can this employee be Tony Abado from Seinfeld with an attitude problem? I highly recommend avoiding The Pool Doctor because they have no tact or flexibility regarding customer service issues. They genuinely lack customer service skills, and this was the first bad experience I have had with a pool cleaning company. When talking to the managers about my concern just backfired completely. They kept referring back to the employee who I was having issues with. A very disappointing experience. read more

For unneeded and unauthorized replacement of filters which we're supposed to be covering by warranty, could have been cleaned or bought for half the price. He slipped the charge in hoping it wouldn't be noticed. At the time I was in California caring for my daughter in hospice. I paid without checking with AJ. He later told her that I had authorized the work which was not true. Then he told me that AJ had authorized the work which also is untrue. When we questioned the charge and tried disputing the credit card charge he become a real AH and tried intimidating us with threats. We are still trying to figure out what to do next. We would never recommend this business or the owner. We feel he took advantage of the fact that we are seniors (80s) and had no experience in dealing with pool services. His rudeness would have been enough to terminate his service. read more

The WORST experience. If you want shotty pool service, choose them. Our pool hasn't been properly cleaned in weeks. When questioned, they said they would come by the following Monday to check and see what was going on. The only person that came by was a pool technician. Our pool still had debris in it and hadn't been properly cleaned. The representative we had been in contact with never showed up and dodged our messages for a week until I fired them. They responded immediately saying they had not heard that there was an issue until now which wasn't true. Do yourself a favor and choose another company. read more

Our beautiful pool was completed in summer of 2021 and service by The Pool Doctor was included for an intro period by our builder to help keep it right. Fast forward to present and we still have our pool serviced by The Pool Doctor. Our pool looks and performs like brand new thanks to all the expertise our technician Andre brings to the job. Shane is a pleasure to deal with when unlocking the gates for him to clean our shared clients pools. I communicate to Hunter, via text, who always responds. Sometimes the gates aren't unlocked because a client forgot to leave the pool key or the days have changed that Shane is coming to clean the pool & I was unaware. I rarely get the privilege of working with someone who cares about their work. Hunter, the owner, is a no nonsense guy who has successfully kept our 20 year old pool afloat for the last three years. He has assembled dedicated employees that can cover a range of pool issues. We have used The Pool Doctor for maintenance, repairs, and new installs. We can now control the heating on our pool and spa through an app on our phone! How nice it is to come home to a hot spa ready to drain the worries of a brutal work day away. Eddie takes care of our weekly maintenance. He is top notch. He is the most polite, hard working, responsive and kind guy I know. I always look forward to Thursdays when he comes to clean the pool. Once I discovered that the dog had peed too close to the pool. When I told Eddie about it, he told me that he would put some additional chemicals in the pool and gave me advice on how long to wait before getting in it. We have never had an algae problem with them cleaning our pool. These guys are like a part of our family. Even when my kid forgets to clean up after the dog, I never heard a cross word or complaint from Eddie. He really is a top notch employee. I feel so strongly about this company that when we will be leaving Vegas in another year, if we keep our house, I am going to keep them on - just to be sure that my pool is well maintained. It's an $80K investment and deserves to be well maintained. We've lived in Vegas three years now. We started with another pool company, but they didn't have the breadth of knowledge that Hunter's technician's do. Even Mike, his office administrator, is a kind and professional guy. Once he even called me back first thing on a Monday holiday at 8 am, because I left him a voicemail over the weekend. You simply cannot go wrong with this company.
