When we first chatted with Mike, we immediately felt comfortable with him and felt that our personalities were very compatible. He was professional, organized, and prepared (all important qualities in a wedding photographer), and also fun and low-key (key for keeping calm on the wedding day). We knew that on our wedding day, we would be spending the most time with our photographer and we wanted to enjoy being around this person, while being confident that they could handle the task. Mike's qualities helped us make our decision.  For our engagement session, we wanted a photo-shoot site that reflected us as a couple. Mike helped locate a beautiful meadow surrounded by pine trees for our session. It was the perfect location for an engagement session in the mountains! He helped us relax in front of the camera and coached us through various poses, while also allowing for candid shots. Mike was generous with his time, making sure that we got the best shots. Prior to our wedding, Mike met us at our wedding venue to walk the property with us. This allowed him to familiarize himself with the property, along with previewing where we should plan to take photos. The pre-planning was greatly appreciated! On our wedding day, Mike arrived on time and immediately got started. He worked well with our other vendors, including our videographer, which was important to us. Throughout the day, Mike had our schedule in mind and made sure that we were on-track. He was never intrusive and always courteous of our guests, but he also made sure to get the shots that we wanted. Looking back at our wedding day means that we're looking back at our wedding photos. But it had to be done and I knew that I needed to find a photgrapher who could help me look as good as a pregnant Demi Moore or Heidi Klum. OK, maybe not, but at least they could try. I found Sarina through yelp and after looking through her website and blog, I was sold. Her body of work speaks for itself and she clearly has a good eye for taking beautiful shots. I contacted her through her website and she responded the same day. I could tell right away just how professional and easy she would be to work with, so I booked her immediately. We decided to take pictures in the Orange Circle since I love that area and thought it would be cool and different, especially for a maternity shoot. Sarina showed up on time and we all felt comfortable with her right away. We took a ton of shots, from sitting in the park bench to interesting brick alleys and even the train depot. When something caught Sarina's eye, she went for it, and most of our best pics are from her suggestions. My 3 year old actually paid attention to Sarina and listened to her prompts, which was completely unexpected. He even went a little Zoolander during the shoot and now has the Blue Steel nailed. She made me feel like a pregnant model and I worked it (or waddled it) as best as I could. Even my husband, who prefers to be behind the camera, had a good time. After the shoot, Sarina sent us our digital proofs within a few days and asked us to pick our top 10 faves for enhancements. The only hard part of the entire process was picking out our top ten. There is no doubt that whenever I want to hire a photographer to capture a special time, or just because, I will be calling Sarina.

From our first meeting we found them to be friendly, knowledgeable, and we loved that they did their best to get to know us as a couple. At this meeting they showed us their work, answered our questions, and did not pressure us AT ALL to choose them as our photographers. We felt really good after we met with them and decided to hire them on right away. Kenn and Lisa were so wonderful when it came to keeping in touch with us to let us know about dates/times/locations for our engagement shoot. We chose two locations in Downtown LA which was AMAZING considering it was such a commute for them. They made us feel comfortable and at ease during the shoot which was important since neither one of us had done a photo shoot before and felt a little awkward about it at first. When they were done, the engagement pictures came in a beautiful package and had several hundred pictures on them. We used these pictures throughout our wedding process and got many compliments on how great these were. A couple of weeks before our wedding, Kenn and Lisa met with us to discuss our wedding day. We went over a rough timeline for the day and they gave us a good idea of what pictures would be shot when. We gave them some additional suggestions and they made sure to include these in our shots! Our wedding day went smoothly and Kenn and Lisa were prompt, calm, and excited for the day. They made sure to get all the standard shots (i.e. posed bridal party photos, pictures with our parents, portraits of us, etc.) but they also made sure to photograph all the details we created for the day. I thought the engagement photos were great and then the wedding photos turned out spectacular. My husband and I hired a team of two professional photographers in addition to Rustyn, hoping that Rustyn could take a lot of candid photos that the other two might miss. In the end, that's exactly what happened and I ended up liking Rustyn's photos better than the two (very expensive) photographers. The other- plain and simply, high caliber of professionalism, authenticity, and warmth that I've had the pleasure to experience after hiring KLK to work their magic for my engagement and wedding photos at The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel, this past July.
