Our wedding was last week and Christina absolutely delivered! We ordered basically everything on her menu including 2 types of cake (classic vanilla, chocolate with peanut butter and banana), brownies, lemon tarts, 2 types of galettes, cheesecake, and panna cotta with rainier cherry compote. Everything was a major hit! We are lucky our planners saved us a box with some of each or we probably wouldn't have gotten to try anything (and we thought we overordered). The favorite was definitely the panna cotta (although I also loved the lemon tarts and my husband the brownies). Christina was so helpful in planning how much we needed and was extremely flexible as we changed our minds. We couldn't have asked for a better baker for our special day.

When meeting for our tasting, we went with the more extravagant 8 flavor option as my husband is a chocolate fan but I am not...this was well worth the price as we got 8 mini cakes to try which meant plenty to take home and enjoy over the weekend! Christina won us over with her flavors and enthusiasm, she provided some off the menu suggestions for mixing and matching sponge and fillings which was awesome. Ultimately, we settled on a mix of a traditional wedding cake (we were so pleased to get more than one flavor choice), along with a smaller gluten free cake and a number of sweet treats to appeal to a wide range of dietary restrictions and palates. When it came to design, Christina was very attentive to our inspiration photos/vision but also mindful of our budget as sugar past dahlias are not easy or inexpensive! When we discussed incorporating our dogs, she had a vendor lined up to make figurines and took care of the ordering process once we provided her some photos. They said 3 tier 6, 8, 10, cake starts at $518 and an extra $70 for vintage style in the inquiry. After i went cake tasting and trying to place an order the owner told me my cake would cost $1015 for a 8,10,12 and she mentioned because of the $8 per slice for 120 guests. How does that make sense. I would have appreciated having all pricing information upfront. I also scheduled a cake tasting, but the owner did not attend because I did not send a "see you there" email beforehand. I was under the impression that the appointment was already scheduled and confirmed. If additional confirmation was required, I believe the owner should have reached out to verify the appointment rather than assuming it was canceled. I ultimately decided to go with another bakery due to ongoing communication issues throughout the ordering process. After discussing my wedding cake and expressing that I wanted to move forward, I was told I would receive a call to collect payment and formally place the order. The owner then went on vacation, and I waited for that call, but it never came. A week passed without any follow-up from her. Then I received an email that she needs to call me, and asked for my number again. So this whole time she didn't even have my number saved when I already emailed it to her and I even texted it to her through her employee's phone in the cake shop when I was at the tasting. I told her I moved on with another bakery and her response came off bitchy. How she waited for me and I delayed the payment.. girl that was you, you don't even have my number saved. She even said she cancelled my order.. an order was never placed because she never called me.. The owner seems to be on vacation a lot, I was nice and patient and giving her the benefit of the doubt but if you have a bad feeling don't move forward because it's not worth the stress. To sum it up don't go to this baker for customs, weddings, etc. I should've looked at her reviews and looks like a lot of people had bad experiences with her.
