I'm not the kind of person to leave bad reviews, but after telling family and friends what happened they told me to leave one so I can save others shopping for a wedding cake. I was disappointed with my experience. During the initial inquiry process, the $8-per-slice pricing was not disclosed until after I had already expressed that I wanted to place an order. They said 3 tier 6, 8, 10, cake starts at $518 and an extra $70 for vintage style in the inquiry. After i went cake tasting and trying to place an order the owner told me my cake would cost $1015 for a 8,10,12 and she mentioned because of the $8 per slice for 120 guests. How does that make sense. I would have appreciated having all pricing information upfront. I also scheduled a cake tasting, but the owner did not attend because I did not send a "see you there" email beforehand. I was under the impression that the appointment was already scheduled and confirmed. If additional confirmation was required, I believe the owner should have reached out to verify the appointment rather than assuming it was canceled. I ultimately decided to go with another bakery due to ongoing communication issues throughout the ordering process. After discussing my wedding cake and expressing that I wanted to move forward, I was told I would receive a call to collect payment and formally place the order. The owner then went on vacation, and I waited for that call, but it never came. A week passed without any follow-up from her. Then I received an email that she needs to call me, and asked for my number again. So this whole time she didn't even have my number saved when I already emailed it to her and I even texted it to her through her employee's phone in the cake shop when I was at the tasting. I told her I moved on with another bakery and her response came off bitchy. How she waited for me and I delayed the payment.. girl that was you, you don't even have my number saved. She even said she cancelled my order.. an order was never placed because she never called me.. The owner seems to be on vacation a lot, I was nice and patient and giving her the benefit of the doubt but if you have a bad feeling don't move forward because it's not worth the stress. To sum it up don't go to this baker for customs, weddings, etc. I should've looked at her reviews and looks like a lot of people had bad experiences with her. read more

My mom and I dropped in for some cupcakes a few days ago and while the flavours were delicious, my mom didn't like the distinctly artificial taste in the icing. She said it tasted gritty almost like they used shortening instead of real butter. I got a salted caramel cupcake and the frosting was overly sweet, but I enjoyed it and thought the cake was perfectly moist. The store was empty and clean when we arrived and the woman at the counter served us quickly and efficiently. Ordered a dozen cupcakes for a work event. The cupcakes were moist and the frosting is next level. Honestly it's the best frosting on a cupcake I've had in a long time. It's a bit heavy on the frosting but hey that's the best part. Also, had some really great holiday cupcake options and flavors. They had Santa, snowman, and reindeer decorated cupcakes and some unique flavors like pumpkin spice. Service was also great as they recommended a bunch of great flavors. First, I'd like to preface with a baker we've used before backed out because a family emergency. I called the Redmond store Tuesday late morning to get help with ordering online and the store told me that I could order online and set the date and time I wanted and everything would be fine, except it wasn't. This store made it seem like if I ordered that I could still get the cupcakes before the party on Saturday. However, the website wouldn't let me checkout when all said and done. I tried calling their number back just shortly after I originally called with no answer this time. So I went to the store, Tuesday afternoon, and explained the situation with what happened during my experience online ordering 2 dozen cupcakes. I asked if I could order in store, and well apparently you can only order online. This person seemed hassled by the fact that I came in to the store. And it seems to me that there was absolutely 0 exceptions to the "4 day" order in advance rule. I mean technically I was ordering 4 days in advance, and it was showing that I could pickup on Saturday but it still didn't let me checkout, but potatoes and tomatoes... I could have just shown up to the store on Saturday to purchase 24 cupcakes. But I might of paid more because of premium cupcakes. They cost more... not sure how much more but they definitely just looked like normal cupcakes to me. Let's just review the pricing as well. I was willing to pay 100 dollars for 2 dozen cupcakes. I'm assuming 10% tax is not included. Stupidity on my part really. It's strange that a business providing a service would miss out on earning money. Because of a technicality. I'm also wondering why they wouldn't accept walk-in orders. Save the hassle of a subpar place that doesn't provide good customer service. Go to Nothing Bundt Cakes... They definitely should put a limit of the number of people they can have for a party cuz it was super cramped and no place to set things down at (let alone sit). The girls did have fun though and got to decorate a cupcake to their frosting heart's content. We had our wedding cake done here and it was so delicious and beautiful! They delivered on time to the venue even though it's about 45 min away (there was a reasonable fee). I would recommend them to a friend, but I would say to be sure you triple check everything with them ahead of time, because even with double checking, we ran into some bumps. When we placed the order, I mentioned we wanted to save the top tier. I emailed a week or so before the wedding asking if I could have a box for the top tier and reiterated that we wanted to save it for our first anniversary. I was told that they always include boxes. On the day, there were no boxes, and when I called the store, it went straight to voicemail repeatedly even though it was during business hours. I called another location and the girl there got someone to call me back, and she said there was no note on my order that I wanted boxes, and they don't do that by default unless it's requested. When I told her I had requested it, she apologized and suggested I try to find something to put it in. I wasn't thrilled to have to deal with that on my wedding day, but the important thing is the cake was delicious and beautiful and got there on time :) I had another order done with them for cupcakes for an event. When I got there to pick it up, the girl behind the counter said, "Yep, we have that set for next week," and just stared at me. I said, "Well we definitely placed it for today, the event is in 3 hours, I need it today, can you still fill the order?" and she said, "Well we can go ahead and put that together for you now even though it was placed for next week." I checked the confirmation email, but it didn't include a date. It was really weird that she didn't even apologize for the confusion and treated me like it was my fault for placing it for the wrong date, but I have zero doubt that we placed it for the correct date. Luckily it wasn't custom cupcakes or anything, so they put the order together for us quickly. There was a misread number on our wedding cake order too causing us to get over-charged a bit, but that was quickly remedied same day so it was no problem, it just shows they can make mistakes taking the order down, so just be extra careful and triple check and follow up on the details in the days leading up to your event. Overall, the quality of the baking and the decorations is incredible. The service could use some work, but despite that I'll still being coming back here because it's just so tasty :) read more

My friend ordered a dozen custom cupcakes from here for her husband's birthday. The theme was "Lord of the Rings" and they did a fantastic job with the cakes(see image). The cupcakes looked spectacularly appealing to the eye. Some of them were actually 3D pieces of edible art. The cupcake itself was perfectly moist and light, not too crumbly but not dense either. It had a light hint of coffee to it which contrasted the sweet frosting well. The white frosting was a little too sweet for my taste but the dark chocolate one was just right. For custom cupcakes, $6.25 each,($3.25 for each cupcake + $36 total for the designs) for I think this is a little pricey but they do a good job so it's worth it if you really like cupcakes or have a special occasion. We recently purchased a variety of candy from Pinka Bella Cupcakes but found that 3 types were stale and so hard, we could not eat them. We returned these to the store the next morning and asked to speak to the manager about this. The manager would not come out but had a young employee deal with us saying that the reason the candy was stale was because they had a supply problem and it was taking longer than expected to get stock in. This was a cowardly approach to a legitimate complaint. We did not get an apology or offer any form of compensation. I ordered a custom cake for my sisters birthday and unfortunately I was disappointed with the product I received. I had asked for ganache over the top and sprinkles to be added and I even sent a picture of the idea I had. The product I received did not have the ganache over the top and no sprinkles. I reached out to notify them and nothing was resolved. I wish they would have offered to fix. They said they would give me a small refund for missing the sprinkles ( never received this refund) but nothing for missing the ganache over the top. read more

I prefer cupcakes here over other cupcake places in Bellevue. Normally, I can't finish a cupcake because either the frosting is too thick or the cake part is tasteless. Today I had pumpkin spice and red velvet cupcakes at Pinkabella and both were delicious. The cake part was very moist and the frosting is light and fluffy, which made it different from many places. Many cupcakes I tried had too thick and too sweet frosting, which I hate. The cupcakes here were sweeter by any Asian bakeries standard, but it was perfect level of sweetness for cupcakes. I love the store decoration which is super cute. They have the cutest and biggest (cupcake)party room around here. I would not mind stopping by this place every time I go to Redmond town center. The reason it's not 5 stars because the crumb is everywhere on the table and the floor. They don't serve the cupcake on a plate and that makes it's hard not to spill anything. It must be hard for staff to keep the place clean all the time. I want to give a shout out to the best CUPCAKE COMPANY EVER. My daughter just started a new job and it was her birthday and we were not able to travel out of state to see her because of the virus. We wanted to do something special. Her favorite thing is PinkaBella. I called PinkaBella owner and asked if she could help me. Oh my gosh even though it was the night before the big day she said yes. I bought a dozen assorted Yummy CupCakes including the new Cheesecake swirl (the best ever) and she had them delivered to my daughters work. They were a hit. Everyone loved them. My daughter was so happy and I think she found her new favorite CupCake. This place is Amazing. The CupCakes are the best. These CupCakes are perfect to pick up and share. All their cupcakes use the same, thick, overly-sugary buttercream frosting that appeals to third graders looking for their next hit of sugar. Unfortunately, this category of cupcakes needs to compete with the cheap Safeway brands. If you want to get Redmond techies to pay $5 for a cupcake, you need to use lightly sweetened whip cream, stuffed cake bottoms, and have adult flavors like lavender. Think more Cupcake Royale and less Safeway day-old red velvets. Quantity- I got just 1. That was enough for me. Price- overpriced for the quality and flavor choices Service- I noticed this store generally just hires some high schooler who needs a part time job. I needed to send some cupcakes for an earlier treat / bday cupcakes to a special person in CA. The owner was helping me with good suggestions and had some fresh cupcakes in the fridge that was chilled to help me out with shipping it overnight. I got 6 pack of the triple chocolate, red velvet, two coconut, strawberry, and lemon cupcakes for my good friend. All the cupcakes are only $3. I recommend the peanut butter with a resses pieces on top....if you love peanut butter, you will love this cupcake. It was yummy. The frosting is tasty and cupcake very moist. The flavors are limited and it isn't the best cupcakes I had before in Seattle but this location does make moist with tasty frosting cupcakes on the East Side. It will satisfy your sweet cravings! As it was quiet in the shop on a weekday morning, I was able to chat to the lady behind the counter, who confirmed that cupcakes are a bit of a fad in the USA at the moment. They did look very enticing and pretty with the soft frosting atop the cupcakes. I came away with the best-seling red velvet and banana fosters cupcakes. Yes, they were delicious when I had them as late night sinful snacks and probably just the right size for a small sugar fix. However, were they worth $3 each? Probably not if I'm being absolutely honest. So 4 stars for the taste. They stay moist for days -- yes we left them out for two days and they were still moist! The texture of the cake is pretty good and the taste is subtle and not overtly sweet. We had: Vanilla Cake with Chocolate Buttercream, Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream, Raspberry Lemonade, and Chocolate Peanutbutter. While these are all distinct cupcakes with different frosting, they all have a floral flavoring, which I didn't really enjoy. Lastly, the buttercream could pack a bit more of a punch as it was slightly bland. The caramel frosting on it was insanely sweet though. The place is quite cute- very pink and girly and pretty. The girls there had no clue had to run the register though. And I sadly forgot to buy milk when we bought the cupcakes. So while my friend sat at a table and waited for me, I stood at the counter for 10 minutes while they rang up 2 drinks. Maybe it's not fair to base a review off of one cupcake. My husband brought me the chocolate salted caramel. Chocolate cake with a salted caramel frosting. Overall, disappointing although not the worst cupcake I've ever had from a specialty cupcake place. However, I didn't think this even measured up to the Cheesecake Factory cupcakes they sell in Barnes and Nobles. And I only know what those taste like because my son received a free one for his birthday. The chocolate cake itself was pretty good. Decently moist and light. I would have liked a bit more chocolate flavor. This is a common gripe of mine concerning chocolate cupcakes and why I don't usually buy them. This cupcake fared a little bit better than average in terms of the cake department though. The real disappointment was the frosting. This is where the salted caramel comes in. It was simply way, way too sweet and I did not care at all for the texture. Too greasy. Flavor wasn't great either although at least I could tell it was caramel. Came here to buy a friend a birthday cupcake and ended up buying myself a lemon one to try (I've also tried their coconut). Their cupcakes taste good, but I'm not sure its worth the price since you could probably buy some cakemix and make your own cupcakes that are just as good for a portion of the cost (although they probably wouldn't look as pretty). I am however amazed at the fact that the cupcake I took to-go fit perfectly in its container without messing up the icing on the top or the sides so it still looked pretty for the birthday girl later on.
